I'm sorry skippy but the computing public had 30 years to learn how to work a computer with an exposed, hierarchical file system. They did not. In 2010 they were still saying things like "the paper I wrote is gone from my word" when it disappeared from the recent documents list. They would regularly "lose" files by forgetting where documents are stored or place everything on the desktop Because the file browser in the save dialog was "too confusing".
This is what you all get now. This is the computing experience you all deserve. A sealed, non-maintainable file system where sometimes 5GB of "other" gets stuck somewhere.

Decided to catch up on the last couple of pages before I began lurking in proper earnest.
So glad I got an explanation for this. Somehow makes it funnier.
I've never played dragon age stuff ever but everything I see about this new thing sounds one hundred percent ace
Dragon Age 1 was basically Baldur's Gate 3. It was really good when it came out, but since then things like "sensible combat design" and "fun" have been popular in RPGs, so while the story and characters and lore all hold up very well, the load times and combat do not.
Dragon Age 2 suffered from being very clearly a rush job, it has some "wait, you're kidding me, this is a joke" amounts of re-used content (imagine playing a PnP RPG where the DM uses the same 5 map cutouts for 30 encounters aaaaaaand that's Dragon Age 2). It does have great writing and great dialogue and the best dwarf ever written, so its worth playing so long as you realize you're not getting an A+ product.
Dragon Age 3 (Inquisition) looks ace so far, and has MP so buy it on PC and kill orcs with me.
