Gotta love all that end of episode acting and reaction shots!
Also the 6th Doctor’s ridiculous attempts to insult the Valeyard by calling him things like the Shipyard and the Junkyard.
Also how the Master comes out of nowhere at the end of the story just to troll the Timelords.
Also the character of the Inquisitor is both goals and a massive crush.
...am I talking myself into rewatching that whole story!?
Actually, the second episode of New Who contradicts Trial of the Time Lord.
Earth is abandoned and still in the same spot billions of years in the future.
The ‘Ravalox’ Earth of Trial of a Time Lord was circa year 2,000,000. The Earth’s destruction in series 1 was dated as around the year 5,000,000,000. Plenty of time for Earth to be returned (and even repopulated by humans who’d left Earth in the meantime).

You can’t really reconcile all the possible futures shown in Doctor Who into one non contradictory timeline.
I tend to think of it is how the Doctor says time is wibbly wobbly and in flux all the time, so the Doctor has visited many possible futures which keep shifting.
It's not what I'd pick as a highlight of Colin Baker's run.
It's I believe frequently voted the worst Dr Who story, which is probably going a little too far.

Yeah, not much can top Dimensions in Time for sheer comedic awful incoherence.
It's been a while but I don't remember Time Lash being especially bad. I'd describe it as "naff but basically decent", which is also how I'd describe Colin Baker's entire first season.

That might be The Twin Dilemma you're thinking of. Or possibly Time and the Rani. If making a Doctor Who story were sitting an exam, both those stories would get nearly all the questions wrong, but only The Twin Dilemma would also manage to insult the examiner's mother in the process.

oh really
Well that was more frustrating than comedic, I can at least enjoy how bad Dimensions in Time is.
I never watched Dimensions in Time. I wonder if I can pull it up on YouTube.
Edit. Wow. It really leans in on the 3D gimmick.
The new series really needs a Rani.
British phone numbers are weird to me.
Edit: I finished watching it. Yes, that was the worst one. Good to the see actors when they were older. The plot is one giant hand wave.
"....and she even hates children!". The script is pretty... unique. My favourite part of Dimensions in Time is keeping an eye out for the bits of dialogue or even laughter that are very clunkily dubbed in afterwards.
I went ahead and got Seeds of Doom and Brain of Morbius on Amazon. They were pretty cheap. Seeds sounds really good.
I had Morbius on VHS, but I would rather have a sharper DVD copy.
Seeds of Doom is a good one, it's got some great 4th Doctor one liners. He's also oddly action man in it. I don't know if it was a bit of Pertwee leftover vibes.
This is a pretty good overview of the eras of the show, and the new episode, about the wilderness years of audio books, the Fox movie, the various lines of books and the planned and scrapped reboots, is full of interesting nuggets.

Also Neil Stuke will be guest starring, a guy you may recognise from such things as stuff.

I hope you like crash-zooms.
I might get this one.

I guess. Crisis averted. :P

I bet those sets are cheaper in the UK.
edit: mind you, these are the boxed editions - i think only the uk and australia might have the boxed ones?

The Brain of Morbius is seen as a bad episode, but I like it.

It does amaze me how silly the writing gets in Doctor Who. Some of the stories, like Rani, go way out there.
