I'll search up your map when I get home from work, Dirtyboy
I feel confident it will be better than the vast majority of maps I've played, because you've put more than 0% effort into it. I had a map pop up on Arcade Hero the other night that was an outpost mission, but you spawn in a bunker with no exits... Mario Maker had it right with the "you have to beat your level before you can upload it" rule

Fallout characters still spoke in the early games, even if you couldn't hear them.
I don't consider the Fallout protagonists or The Warden in Dragon Age Origins to be voiceless characters, because you can still choose what they say.
Here you're just a mute who doesn't interact with the world in any way except murder.
Even the characters in Borderlands 1/2 would say something.
Great...now in my head I'm trying to imagine how some of these scenes would play out if The Cult was trying to do one of their long winded speeches to Krieg from Borderlands 2.
"You will confess your sins and they will be purged"
"I WILL MAKE THE SHINIEST MEAT BICYCLE FROM YOU AND SHOUT AT YOUR MAYONAISE FILLED SKULL WITH MY SOUL!"
"..."
After the story had progressed a bit I played the entire game thinking why is there no mission about trying to escape the area to get reinforcements. Once you unlock the plane you should have a mission to try making contact with the rest of the world. The mission would have to fail to keep the game going obviously, but for the sake of the story they should have included one.
I feel as though making the character a police officer was a mistake. Even though he's supposedly a rookie (no idea if he just transferred in from somewhere else or not) he should still have training and that training should have included things like "Don't be a damned hero go get backup." Some dude though? Fuck ya go find Hurk and fuck some shit up.
That thought crossed my mind as well. Would've been a way better "secret" ending too.
Like it only works once, but when you fly out of bounds and it gives you that warning, if you keep going you should get an ending that's like "Congrats, the cult's trickery didn't fool you!" and you go get lots of help to take down Seed.
It's just one of those things, though. Like in Iron Man 3 when Tony doesn't even try to contact Captain America or Nick Fury
Also, Hurk would prefer to be called Panther, thankyouverymuch.
So relating to that first issue I expressed here:
I ran into a prepper site that was a crashed aircraft. The note says the pilot was trying to go get help before the cult took command of the skies. He's leaving tonight. So they did at least pretend to care about the idea of going for help via plane. Still could have had a mission for the player though grumble grumble...
Tried out a bit of Co Op with my friend last night. Kind of a mixed bag. It's fun to run around causing shenanigans, but you can't get too far away from each other or the game freaks out on you like you went out of bounds. That kind of sucks. Did get a bunch of extra perk points though, because he was the host and I was able to pick up additional magazines at the prepper stashes he hadn't done yet.
Also I died because I was riding as the tail gunner in his plane, and didn't realize I was damaging the plane by shooting the tail... He bailed out, but I died in the explosion. Oops!

I... I think I need to apologize to my friend.
Edit: I even remarked on having just purchased the perk that makes my bullets do more damage to vehicles!

You're thinking of the Pre-Sequel. Characters in 1/2 ignore the rest of the world beyond what they can murder just as much, they just also occasionally mumble things to themselves about how awesome they are.
Also I bought FC2 for the XB1 again, it's interesting seeing how it holds up ten years later, and all the little differences/ways the Dunia engine has changed.
I'm reinstalling Primal right now since I never beat it and 5 has me in a Far Cry mood. Might reinstall 4 if I finish Primal before God of War on the 20th too. What I'd really love is New Game+ for FC5 though.

I might give FC2 another shot since it's available on XBone. I hated it back in the day. Such a pain in the ass to play... Like, I almost skipped 3 because I hated 2 so much. Glad I didn't though since 3 is fantastic.

I ran into a weird bug earlier. It got dark, the stars came out etc, and the sun refused to rise. I played for a couple of hours, went to bed and came back the next day and loaded up the game, still dark. Played a while longer, still night. Finally went and looked it up, apparently its a thing. One of the missions that can reset it is the testy festy, which i hadn't done yet, so i went and did it. And thus thanks to sacrificing some bulls I was able to get the sun to rise. I guess the old ways do work. Who knew.

Why would you want to fix that?
Because the blacks on my projector aren't great, and frankly running around in the dark all the time in a game where I can't control the flashlight I'm clearly carrying is a tiny bit irksome.

That's fair. I haven't played 5 yet, but I've been playing 4. In 4 I have zero problems seeing at night, and night offers nothing but stealth benefits with zero drawbacks. Unfortunately, it seems like the sun is up 90% of the day and nighttime only lasts a moment.
I do feel like there is a serious lack of hardware that should be available in this game. Why are there no night vision goggles? It's one thing for middle of nowhere Africa or an island in the wherever 3 was to not have access to technology, but I am flabbergasted that I couldn't walk into a big box store (something else that was missing, a mission in a home depot involving nail guns and table saws and such) and buy a special edition of Blood Dragon 5 with it's pack in night vision goggles.
I'm having a hard time enjoying this when dudes appear every 20 seconds as I'm trying to make it to a waypoint. Thank God the shooting feels good else I'd have given up a short while ago.

I just ignore the chaos and carry on driving when things get too busy. Or just fly everywhere.
You don't have to get involved in every firefight and/or altercation. Waste of ammo. The game doesn't penalize you at all for playing that way either.
Gameplay wise, yes, you can just move on.
But from story and character perspective, you just abandoned bunch of innocent people to be murdered, and possibly tortured.
Which is why i kept getting enbroiled with the firefights until i start just air dropping everywhere.
I mean from a story perspective you're taking time away from rescuing people to make bull testicle stew and various other nonsense things in main quests, so after a while I just left people to their fate. Particularly since half the time you rescue someone they die from "natural causes" soon after

the main campaign missions were largely disappointing for me, especially from a gameplay perspective, and yeah definitely this was the case with the end missions.
The main story is pretty much shit.
Gameplay is boring, story itself is lazy and pointless.
The whole thing has left me too pissed to go back and finish the map after the end.

There's way too many captures that go into cutscenes where the villian gets inches from your face and monologues, it's repetitive and boring. And the capture mechanics are 100% bullshit. It doesn't matter how good you are or how many of the capture team you kill, you get caught no matter what. You could be way up in the air in a helicopter with no one around and suddenly you'll be hit with a magic arrow. It's a lazy, laughably bad mechanic
Seriously, what the hell were they thinking with that? As a dev you'd have to be a completely out of touch moron to not realize from the jump that mechanics like that would not be looked upon favorably by the community.
I'm sorry that people aren't enjoying this game. I'm having the time of my life with it. I have two friends (brothers) that I hop into Co-Op with from time to time and we have a blast. One brother is an assassin, the other... well let's just say his favorite weapon is the RPG. I'm pretty much "the pilot", who will also gladly trade death in favor of a head shot. We bring different things to the table so every co-op session can go wildly different.
There's just something nice about rolling up in a stolen truck and yelling "Get in, Loser!" and having your buddy hang out the side shooting hillbillies with classic rock playing on the radio.
I concede it very well could be the Kentucky in me.

For real though, I'll eventually start getting tired and move on from them but for now killing stuff is still fun.
