In the name of original sin of badgers, bladder-relieved Gabe is good but how on Earth did they kill him ? He needs a man to protect him. A fire, the protector.
Love the metaphor of pure nature and almighty Chaos. Our bodies are nothing but dust in space.
In NWN engine, Dire badgers were the default creature that appeared when you spawn a creature and don't correctly specify what type. It could well be because bioware first created the spawn feature to get summon monster I spell working with the pictured beasts.
Ah, Far Cry 4. In general, the game's subtitle should be "Rise of the Animals". It's like a sequel to Cujo, or The Birds. Except now EVERYTHING fuzzy, scaley, or feathery is rabid, very angry, and coming to make major inroads on the welfare of your face. One of the amusing quests even makes light of this (which is in fact about honey badgers, which I'm guessing is the inspiration for this)
A badger, huh? OK, try to imagine yourself in this idyllic valley. You get your first look at this little mammal as you enter a clearing. He moves like a bird, lightly, bobbing his head. And you keep still because you think that maybe his visual acuity is based on movement like T-Rex - he'll lose you if you don't move. But no, not the badger. You stare at him, and he just stares right back. And that's when the attack comes. Not from the front, but from the side, whoosh... from the other three badgers you didn't even know were there. Because the badger's a pack hunter, you see, he uses coordinated attack patterns and he is out in force today.

Yes ! Like the sands of hourglass, so are the days of our lives. Thats a fact man, these bodies are but dust from hearts of stars. Still, eventually we are so much more than just that. A fool might be tempted here to express that maybe i was 'Souckrates' back then but i know that if i would have been that smart over 1500 Earth years ago, i most fkn certainly would not be on this planet in human form now unless i was a dumbest masochist on this side of local galactic group.
But who keeps turning the hourglass over and over ? You ponder that my friend.
Really expected one of those badgers to be wearing the watch
A drop bear has the watch.
life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies
"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible." - T.E. Lawrence
I think this comic would have been improved if they had left out the other badgers in panel 3 and just left the one holding his eye... it implies he was taken down by a swarm of Honey Badgers, but I think it would have been better if it made it clear that the one single badger strait up murdered him by itself.
I grew up in a place that had badgers. Every kid knew, above all else, that if a badger bit you, it wouldn't let go until it heard bone crunch. No one I grew up with ever saw a badger, or knew anyone who'd seen one.

Pretty much the same, except we did see some. Never interacted with one, though.

(if there has been a specific badger incident, I also missed it)

A kindred essence or "soul" eh ? Always refreshing to meet such entities on a long journey.

Nope!
Stoppin' you right there.
Perfect comic.

You might just have uncovered a piece of Mike's subcosciousness there. And your own too. Mental paleonthology is quite fascinating.
