Honestly, once it got to late game, I thought Secret had it in the bag, but after playing great rat for so long, they must have gotten impatient, tried to force the ancient, lost Tiny, forced him to buy back, and that was it.
Also, why the hell did nobody on Secret go for the dropped Rapier? S4 knew exactly where it was, he pinged it out and nobody went near it.

DS is like NP, always viable always strong just not always best.
yea, he is basically a controller which isn't really the current meta (or last couple) but he is a great offlaner since he pretty much always get farm, he can go into the jungle and he is hard to kill.
he is prohbably more on the defensive side of things so isnt as cool now

I'm wondering if as late game oriented drafts become more common, he'll see a few more picks for some of that sweet sweet ult action.

The suiciding in the fountain to try and desperately get back to base, only to remember you accidentally stole the aegis, was the best part of what just happened.

Not to mention polluting the map with item recipes so you can grab cheese and aegis from your own juggernaut with an open slot.

So what is this about Envy popping off to Puppey? I was asleep (tried to stay up but fell asleep), and woke when GodZ was yelling at the end of that game. I didn't see the pop off.
They should have laned Axe against her instead of Juggernaut. Jugg can't do a thing to her in the laning stage, which let her dominate the lane, build a midas, and snowball from there.

They tried, several times. Zai just keep switching lanes. Secret played it perfectly. C9 has to make a choice: Keep chasing her around with Axe, and slowing down Axe's farm, or just try and make it work.
e: If you watch the very start of the game, Zai head fakes them out really bad, and makes them think he's going offlane, but immediately goes safe. C9 realizes the issue, moves Axe up, and Zai just goes back off.
The way he dominated their jungle was just too much to watch. Having to deny your own jungle with wards. Incredible. I'm really sad that I had to bail at the 35 minute mark, especially since there's no replay available for that one, but it ended the way I expected it to.
EDIT: In other news, this morning:
All Random -> Chen again!
Played what I felt was a pretty good second showing with him, despite a ton of miscues with my Russian teammates (why the fuck does this keep happening??) who had me mid (WTF???) and then kept overcommitting. I had Meks in pretty good time, and had a double-heal for teamfights ready. Nope, my team can't ever teamfight. We have a Tidehunter blinking into 4v1's all game.
Then, of course, whenever I need to build my creep army back up, I get ping-raped by teammates who think I should just TP in and do.....something in a 4v1 (where I would be the 1). Just insane.
I feel like Chen is one of those heroes that's a lot of fun to play if you can stay alive and keep your army going. Dying hurts way too much, and if your team is losing towers, you start to feel the fingers around your neck.
At what point is it okay to start playing matches online? I've been playing a bunch of bot matches this weekend and found a couple of characters that are fun (and a few more I didn't like at all) and it'd be nice to play with some other people. Is the matchmaking set up to pair me with other inexperienced people or am I going to ruin someone's game and get shouted at?
Oh god where did this week go? It feels like all I have done this week is eat, sleep and dota. I just had best (and longest, about 75 minutes!) game I've been involved in but I guess because there were a couple of abandons it hasn't been registered in my previous games. We lost two sets of racks and both middle towers and still managed to pull the win out. I ended up with a bunch of really fun items on Crystal Maiden (including a divine rapier that the other team dropped and no-one else wanted to pick up) and became part support and part harbinger of death. So many super fun team fights, everyone was genuinely nice and we all agreed at the end that that match had been the best. I am loving this game.

I love Ricky Rubio, I love EE, and I love unpredictable/unimaginable Dota.
Like VG would of been better off with any other offlaner.
BH and Lycan wolves with ion shell did a lot of pressure.
Likewise with SD.
this is funny because for ages (until end of 2013?) DS was the best, most un-nerfable offlaner in the game.

Yeah, Game 3 was....not pretty.
They made some incredible plays during Game 2, then Game 3... what in the hell happened.

no
Heh, DS inspires the strangest mixture of frustration and bullshit to play against that exists at my level of dotas.
One of the best scaling spells in the game. Got a couple late game carries? That's going to bite you in the ass.
On paper yes it's a great ult, in practice it just doesn't seem to do much vs. players that know how to position correctly.
Like currently DS has a 0-6 record in the Dota2 Asian Champs, and only a 43% winrate on this patch.
Maybe it's just a personal hate of the hero, but to me he never seems to give much impact past laning stage except for being a good mek builder.
That was an incredible end.

It's that much better now that you posted this.
also I think this is appropriate here.

How do you even counter that hero!
