So I am now finally 615 and in the queue for MC. Have been in line for 30 minutes now. And the "average timer" jumps back and forth. 2 min. No, 20 min. No, 11 min.
Speaking of resources...what are you doing with your herbs? Vendoring them? I don't know if I want to build an Alchemy Lab/Inscription thingie.
I had an Alchemy building, but I found after learning all of the recipes that I had no need for the Catalysts from the Work Orders. 10 per day from my cooldown is more than enough to handle making some Greater Flasks.
I replaced it with a Bank. My other small buildings are a Salvage Yard and and Inscription. I figure, I can always just use War Paints to make Darkmoon Cards to sell, and trinkets for alts.
I thought about making an Enchanting building just so my Alchemist/Herbalist could disenchant his own things instead of going to a guildmates Garrison.
Never having done Dragon Soul before, at 100, with a couple suckers friends I con into going with me, how bad of a time is that? Is it unfun? Should I not even bother?
Spine of Deathwing hates you. You will die until everyone knows exactly what to do.
Otherwise it will be a faceroll, even alone.
I have a good friend that's currently doing Mythic HM progression. He just does not fucking get the spine fight. Always flies off the first time he rolls. It's kind of hilarious / sad. I don't think he's ever survived to the end of the fight.

I was just reading about that. Gonna have to watch a couple videos, because I'm not sure I get the mechanics exactly from the reading. Then figure out how to explain it.
I think the couple of folks I was going to drag along with me will have the patience for it.
For spine you want to either be alone or have an even amount of people. Having an odd amount of people greater than one is where it gets hard.
Solo strat:
1) Kill a couple of tentacles and then stand where the tentacle was so the adds that are spawned fly away
2) Wait for at least 9 slimes to spawn (use nameplates to make counting easier)
3) Run to the center of the back at the edge of the plate and aoe down all of the slimes
4) Kill one and only one tentacle so an add spawns.
5) Drag the add over the slime corpses until its counter reads 9. While doing this be sure to bounce back and forth over the spine so you continuously get the "he's gonna roll!" warning. You have 10 seconds before he'll flip.
6) Kill the add next to the plate then settle down on a tentacle hole to kill the tendon
7) Repeat. You don't need to kill any more tentacles to flip their adds off like in step 1 because the number of slimes spawning from the already open wounds will be plenty.
Even number strat:
--Similar to the solo strat except always have one person on each side of the spine after the first flip to get rid of the first set of adds happens, which means he shouldn't flip anymore until you need to clear a bunch of adds after the plate is removed.
--When it's time to slime up the add you can have both people swap sides or have them taunt-swap the add if both have taunts.
--Having more than one person also allows the tentacles to stun people with a channeled cast that you can only stop by damaging them enough but at level 100 it'll be next to impossible to damage them enough without killing them. So if you can outheal the damage done to them, let them sit there stunned while the other person/people continue with the fight.
--The slime stun mechanic also means you'll want to get rid of all but one tentacle every time so as to make sure only one person can be stunned. This means the number of bloods will hit the required 9 far quicker than when soloing (almost instantly on the last plate), so be aware.
Odd number strat:
--Same as the solo strat except you only have 5 seconds instead of 10 before he'll flip so the odd man out who's tanking the add needs to focus on running back and forth across the spine nonstop while the others do dps. This includes while the add is exploding, because it still can fall off if he flips while it explodes.
--You also might need to kill tentacles early for the same reason as with the even number strat but with three or more people at level 100 it's more likely you can just leave them there until it's time to kill the tentacle for the add.
--Just like with the even number strat, kill all but one tentacle so as to minimize the number of people stunned.
They definitely eased up the rules on flying, I just strafed back and forth from left to right and he never spun.

The basic thing with Spine is draw a line down the center of his back. If you don't have the same number of people on each side, he will roll and insta-kill anyone not tethered down (stand in lava pool where one of the tentacles used to be)
Basically, the solo strat requires you to run in circles so he is constantly resetting his roll (I.e. if you are on the left, and he starts to roll, run to the right and his roll countdown will reset. Rinse repeat until you want to scream)
The only time I have to do the back and forth is while the add is up and generally I only have to do that for 3 flip triggers max before it's exploding and I can return to the tentacle hole, so it's not that big a deal.

And that was the last week of Normal mode, finished the night with 7/7 Normal and 7/7 Heroic. Heroic only got a rough patch on Imperator when the same damn mage kept blowing up mines. Turns out when you're fucking up and claiming it's bugged, but it's only happening to you, then it's probably not the game's fault the raid just died.
Sigh, apparently they broke the Glyph of Jab for monks if one of your weapons is a fist weapon? That's really frustrating. Didn't notice since I've been using a staff/polearm since 6.0.2 in one form or another, but got heroic bladefist and 1H is better than 2H atm, but I look incredibly stupid holding a sword in one hand while I punch with my fists for all attacks.
Two fist weapons is alright since it uses the normal combat animations with fist weapons out (and there is a transmog to make fist weapons invisible), and two sword/axe/mace weapons is also fine since glyph of jab keeps em on your back or you'll pull them off your back for jab otherwise. If you mix them it does super bizzare things to the animations like you do the jab animation, which ends with putting the weapon back on your back, but then suddenly it's in your hand again? Also all weapons vanish during Tiger Palm/Blackout Kick/Keg Smash for reasons I don't understand.
Oh well, maybe 6.1 will fix it. And if not, I can always just hope for that staff from Blackrock.

There's nothing babycious about the Glyph of Jab not working.

It's probably not what happened but my mage mate complained about images popping mines on his pug normal Imperator last night. He would move from the mine but the images would pop it and he'd get the damage and the stun when he was standing in the raid.
while you can never be totally sure something isn't a bug, I'm 99% sure that one is bullshit just based on having seen mirrors in the mines any number of times and thinking they were about to explode, only to realize belatedly that it was just a mirror image
My ship kinda came in this week in terms of gear and I got most of the heroic bits I still wanted; hopefully the barn will feed me enough bloods before next week to get my trinket upgraded again
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Sigh finally got to do Molten bore the heater breaks it's like 13f right now and no pet
They should have made it a grauntee
also someone thought it was funny to wipe us over and over

Imperator progression.
Oh the excuses, the myriad of excuses.
I've stood in the raid with a fixate on a couple of times because I miss the warning, to my shame, but at least I own up to it.

Seen mirrors and all kinds of pets in them too without issue and wouldn't put any stock in it if it was anyone else but the guy is fairly reliable. Highmaul also has a few bugs like ground effects persisting when you are outside and no ticking debuff is present. Or maybe he derped. Who knows.

yeah there is no way i would do MC more than once
My brother power leveled his druid just for a chance at the pet
Because work went to total shit I only had this week to do it so I do hope they offer the pet a different way because I saw a lot of people who cheesed it with the pvp gear just to get in there

But the pvp gear is not cheesing it. Its 620 gear, and this time around is the same as any other 620 gear.
It was actually an awesome way to jumpstart your 100 gearing when Ashran gave broken amounts of Honor.
uh, ok. It's kinda really important to me, as I have to stare at my character for a somewhat unhealthy amount of hours a week. I'd like to not have a sword shoved up their nose during combat because BrM autoattack animations are not intended to have a weapon in them.

That's also been my experience on my paladin, but DK tanks are just stupid on AOE damage.
This is the Overall damage done from a Heroic Slag Mines this morning. That's me at the top there.
The ret pally was 635 or so, the rogue was 621 and the priest 617.
I hit that sometimes on mage. Depends how many procs I get, but it's possible.
