Damnit. When did PGI get all ambitious? I was all prepared to arrive home on Tuesday (the right and proper patch day) and deal with CW's launch.
As it is, you guys and gals will have to wait.....
...another 45 minutes or so, for me to get back to my hotel room, boot up my laptop and patch, and set the proper permissions.
Glad I brought my lappy on vacay. I want to see worlds burn in the wake of our stiff Oosik onslaught! :P
[Edit] Also, anyone that really wants in on the Iron Oosiks clan unit needs to post or PM your in-game info to me pronto, so I can get invites and permissions set up for that as well. Traffic has so far been near-zero, but I know I've seen a few of you guys wanting to roll in Clan mechs for CW.

I wish I could make an alt and gift my clan mechs to it.

I'd ask to get into the Iron Oosiks...but first I need to get the game in a stable state.

well, good news, the suck tax on my particular crab is pointless.
cause removing ferrous and installing endo opens up like 3 more tons, but only one spare slot. In other words, I'm not paying 1.3million cbills to carry another ton of ac20 ammo

Do it, and then add a bigger engine!
I'd rather stay halfway towards the ac20 cooldown module for more dakkadakka

Hey guys, i recently started playing MWO again (I haven't really played alot since the beta, thought I started lone wolfing again when the quirks came in) and with the release of CW I would like a unit invite into the oosik's to play with you guys if that's possible. In game name is the same as my forum name.

ALRIGHT, OOSIKS! MOUNT UP!
We've got a 14-day contract with the KungsArme of the FRR. They're requesting immediate backup on the planets Susquehanna, Verthandi, Halesowen, Wheel, and a number of other fronts. They're being hit from the Clans in the galactic north, Steiner regulars on the west, and the Dragon to the east.
Good luck, MechWarriors. I'll continue to man the comms from HQ, and issue deployment orders as needed. I'm going to leave coordination of the boots-on-the-ground to our best, most sober/sloshed warriors (as the situation warrants) for drop coordination.
Good luck!
BROTHERS OF THE BEAR! A CALL TO ARMS!
The filthy Wolves and Jaguars have broken their Invasion corridor agreements! As if our prosecution of our war on the Inner Sphere wasn't complicated enough already, now we have to deal with unnecessary infighting.
The Bears have noted coordinates for drop insertion in your drop-bay pod HUDs. Make good use of their direction.
Alright, guys, both Units should be up and running. Drop me a PM/post/poke in game if you need anything. I'll be monitoring periodically if something needs to be fixed, as I goof off with some Binding of Isaac (no way I'm dropping in my current location/internet situation).
I've been away from this for quite some time. Saw CW is in, which was promised like 2 yrs ago so I decided to patch up and see what the ruckus was all about. 20 patches, logged in, gave a big WTF to the UI and quit. MWO, I want to like you, I really do.
--First 3 Oosik CW drops were all Victories--
Defending Susquehanna - defeated those vat-born clanners (so awesome!)
Attacking Ardoz - lost 2 mechs (with no defenders)
Attacking Ardoz (boreal vault is the oosikiest map of them all)
Bled my Kintaro and my Awesome dry of LRMs. Played clean up with my mediums. The fight was tight and close. And fuck did the clanners bring a lot of ecm. I think they had like 3 or 4 ecm mechs out at once for the first half. It was messy.
But we were coordinated. Good calls and good fire accuracy. Held it for all 30 minutes. Was pretty awesome.
Sorry to cut out abruptly earlier, gents. My net crapped out briefly, and by the time I got it back up I was just shy of late for an previous engagement. I tossed my name and mechs onto the spreadsheet for future group warfare, though I'm embarrassingly welterweight for the time being.
I'll be closer to par shortly, the next several days should find me earning enough spacebucks to swap out one of the lights for the 3xUAC5 Jager I've had my eye on recently.
It would be like if the Queen woke you up every morning. Too special.

Those sound like awesome matches, guys! Good luck with your drops in the next few days.
I'll keep monitoring the comms, and be back online for reals next week.
I think, with CW, we need to revisit my previous suggestion of lance based shotcallers and a company wide Warchief so we have a single voice directing our actions and what to do for CW coordination.
To be honest, the CW can have you do a Counter Attack when you are expecting a defense, so I would recommend against having too specialized a drop deck for attack/defense.
We'll be sending out a very small hot fix at 9PM PST / 5AM UTC tonight to resolve an issue where Attacker wins were able to exceed more than 11 wins. This fix should have no affect on server status.
Just wanted to give everyone a head's up!
Now that that's over with...how goes your first day with Community Warfare?! We know, it's a little rocky here and there, but more fixes are coming!
Maan, I was hoping we'd have more Iron Oosik people. Anyway, if you want an invite to the Iron Oosiks, apparently I have unit invite privileges, so add stabbitystyle to your friends list and message me for an invite and I'll get you in.

I'm thinking of swapping over... but i rarely play so its a hard decision to make... they honestly should've allowed you to either join two clans or allow one clan to opt for one IS faction and one Clan faction...

So...what. Do I just want four FRR medallions for my deck, or is there a point to varying?
Thus, the others all die before tuxkamen dies to the vote. Hence, tuxkamen survives, village victory.

I can definitely see the appeal behind CW matches. Earned 700K+ for my first one, and it was a satisfying back and forth. However, it seems to be a pain to actually get into these things, and the experiences I was hearing in Vent of some other guys' matches is definitely something to consider.
I'm willing to give it a few weeks and see how the birthing pains develop.
My CW experience so far has been one of two things, both negative:
1) Search for a game, spend a while waiting for my team to form, and then drop with no opposition.
2) Get annihilated by 12 Clan 'mechs at the same tonnage as our IS 'mechs.
I remember PGI running a number of clan vs. IS battles earlier, and the collected win rates vastly favored the clans even when corrected for player skill. That Clan 'mechs were superior was universally accepted--so why won't PGI give them a reduced drop mass? What is so fucking hard to understand about this whole situation?

It's not you, it's PGI dropping this totally unanounced in the middle of a workday with one really fucking stupid requirement.
Gotta be Unit Leader.

December 11th.. That's not April 1st..
Better take all those engine deficient Mechs off their blocks and get them battle worthy.
I'd ask to get into the Iron Oosiks...but first I need to get the game in a stable state.
"All according to plan," chuckles PGI, darkly.

No ETA, but I'm patching as fast as I can.
Damnit.
Unfortunately its all being eaten up by everything but free time.

Also, guys, should I get the Cent A or the Cent D? I need another medium for my drop deck and another cent to start on elite/mastery.

whoops you wanted the Clan invite, sorry Moon.
