just totally blown away.
Look, we should all by now that if you receive a box from @Big Classy its probably going to be a PS4. I think Isy has sent packages to a couple people now and I actually think all of them were playstations.

Looks like REmake is only going to be 20 bucks. A lot cheaper than I expected. Good going Capcom.
Honestly I'd say anything higher than $20 would be pushing it for a PC port of a 12 year old remake of an eighteen year old game.
RE4HD launched on Steam at $20 as well.
If REMake is as brokenly unplayable a port as RE4HD is, I'd say $20 is significantly overpriced.
I know the first port of RE4 to the PC was godawful, but I was under the assumption that the RE4HD that is currently on Steam was fixed.
Fixed as in, actually has stuff like "mouse control" and "shadows".
RE4HD is absolutely playable, but some of the "clean up" they did for the HD made it look worse. Like, modded versions of the original RE4 PC looked better.
I haven't poked around to see if there's mod fixes for the new one yet.

I couldn't play it (the recent HD remake). I tried a number of times and it was just plain broken. Moving, turning, aiming - everything was like moving through molasses. Sloooooooooow motion. I tried a zillion various fixes posted everywhere and finally just gave up completely.

RE4 is actually my least favorite of the series (although I haven't played RE6 which I heard was bad). No matter what system I played it on it always seemed like I was stuck in mud. So agonizingly slow.
Fract OSC for $3.49
Pigeon Dating Simulator (Hatoful Boyfriend) for $2.99
I was pretty interested in Fract OSC until I looked at the system requirements so I think I'll have to wait a bit before I can get that one. Kind of surprising, actually.
I think that's the cheapest either of those have been. Obviously it's GOG so no Steam but people in this thread do like a good deal. Makes it easier to get all teh gamez

Same here, from @Shade . Thank you for the legend of space asshole.
I'm assuming Space Asshole is Multiplayer?
Space Asshole is the best kind of multiplayer.
My nephew and his friends once invited me to their deathmatch game, where they had decided they were playing Hide and Seek. One guy would need to find the other players hidden about a map and hit them with the sledgehammer to count as a 'find'. No guns allowed. Naturally they made me the seeker and giggled among themselves that I'd be some doddering old scrub who can't vidya to save his life.
I knew one kid was hiding in a building with only one doorway in and out of it, so rather than do the obvious, I set a C4 charge on the opposite wall, then stood near the doorway and set it off. As expected, the kid shat bricks and made straight for the exit, only to get whanged in the face with my space sledgehammer. After some shenanigans like that, they decided that they were all going to try and find me at the same time to put me in my place.
Unbeknownst to them, I am a huge Metal Gear Solid fanboy.
They all expected me to hide in structures or some kind of cover; I actually just crouched in plain sight between 2 crates next to a staircase once and had to hold in my giggling when one of them walked RIGHT past me saying "where the bloody hell did he get to?" Then I activated my jet pack to get to the top of the stairs which scared the bejeezus out of him and I spent the rest of the round tittering like a schoolgirl when they kept losing track of me.

I have around $40 of Steam money that I got as a gift and I've been passing up good sales because I wanted to make sure I had enough to grab that game when it came out

Yeah, that sounds like RE4.
Sounds like RE, period.
If you didn't like REmake, I highly recommend passing on REmake. A lot of the "scare" factor of the Resident Evil games stems from the vulnerability of your character, which largely means "tank controls, fixed perspective." They changed the fixed perspective in RE4, and it sounds like they're fixing the tank controls in this remake, but the characters are still going to be moving slow....which is kinda necessary given the zombies also move slow.

Someone explain to me how this is a Disney game? I mean, I get the other ones, but Split Second and Pure seem weirdly out of place amongst Merida and Tinkerbell.

There was a time when Disney made a push to be a genuine triple A style game publisher. Pure and Split Second (a game I've always wanted to try) are the results of that. Along with Epic Mickey. Between the fact that the only successful one of the three was the one with brand recognition and that it was the same time mobile gaming was really going crazy they've stuck to smaller games since.

Don't get me wrong, "racing game where the track blows up!" sounds like a fine game, it just surprised me that it would be coming from Disney. It's more like something EA or Ubisoft might cook up.

Awesome, Disney sale! My daughter will be very excited to play these princess and fairy games!
I was tempted by the Tinkerbell one but $10 still seems quite high for what looks like a flash game.
$30 for all 6 games is reasonable enough for me. Or maybe I should just wait for winter sale, since the next few weeks will be busy enough with Xmas activities for the kiddo anyways. I don't know. I thought I had a few weeks off from these hard decisions!

On the other side of the sales this weekend, Daedalic's sale has The Last Tinker: City of Colors (which you may have seen Bery play on a streaming at some point) is the cheapest it's ever been at 66% off.
Also, is it just me or is the new Humble Weekly kind of . . . weak?

So has anyone else noticed that Dead State is out? Because holy shit Dead State is out! This is an isometric RPG from ex-Troika and Obsidian people, it's also one of the first wave Early Access titles, using the model long before Steam picked the game up. It's been in development for a long ass time and many despaired of it ever actually coming out in a decent state. If the Steam review consensus is accepted it does seem to be fun to play. I'm seeing a lot of references to old favorites being thrown around, Infinity Engine games, Jagged Alliance 2, and so on.

YUP I've been watching it for a while. I played about 10 minutes of Early Access, then stopped because I wanted an unsullied experience. I'm installing and playing tonight!

I think rule #2 is that Isy survives by eating excitement posts. Somehow he maintains nourishment with everyone posting how crazy he is.
