I'm having a fun with a ramp druid using the new 3 cost and a top heavy deck. no mech synergy at all but I'm using the bear cub thing because it's adorable.
This is one of those cards where I looked at it initially and said to myself, "That's cute, but this will never be viable with such a terrible body and unreliable effect."
And then I drop dead every single time I see it played in the arena.

Yes, it was me. He thoughtstole one of my strongest legendaries. Then on the next turn used shadow madness to steal my void caller which then dropped his stolen mal'ganis.
Which he then buffed and used faceless on. So yeah...

A lot of cards in GvG are very good.
The balance is actually totally fucked, every class has completely ridiculous bullshit, it's hilarious
So it's theoretically possible to get into an unending Malorne loop. Suppose Player A has two Malornes (say one from his deck, one from Faceless) -- one on the field, one in his hand -- and player B has one Malorne on the field. Neither player has any other cards left. Also suppose Player A is sitting at 6 HP (i.e. within Malorne one-shot range) and player B is at 12 HP.
Player A is forced to trade Malornes, or he dies. So he trades, and then plays his backup Malorne.
Player B draws his Malorne, and is forced to play it (to threaten lethal), or he'll die in two turns. He does so, and passes. (Maybe he also hero powers -- but if the players are both druids, then the hero powers cancel out anyway.)
Player A draws his first Malorne, and is once again forced to trade Malornes, then play another.
Repeat ad nauseam.
I kind of wonder if the game has any built-in checks for this kind of thing -- say the game automatically ends in a draw after 60 turns or so.
It's also theoretically possible for both players to end up with stealthed Mal'ganises (and no way of killing stealthed creatures), at which point the game literally cannot end until someone either concedes or chooses to break stealth. It might be fun to try setting that up. (Or, it might be more fun to wait for someone else to do it and post it on YouTube.)

I hope Blizzard gives the cards a while to breathe instead of kneejerking to the OP calls. People will figure stuff out, it will take a long time to settle.

Portal is actually a really good spell. Apprentice + portal is a useful turn 3 play. (Particularly if you put out mechwarper on turn 2 and they used a removal on it for their entire turn). If you do that, even if you get a mana wyrm, well, you spent one mana and got a 1 drop. The potential upside can be pretty huge.
I got Tirion from mine once, which was fun.
I think it's best on turn 2 so you can draw some amazing 6 cost minion and play it on turn 3 (like a sunwalker)

You can chain together a LOT of spells with two apprentices. Portal is free. Then if you pull a 4 cost minion out, THAT is free too.
Arcane intellect costs 1 mana and if you happen to pull out mechs, hey, they get played for less as well!
Blastmage is amazing. Particularly hilarious after a warlock just used implosion on your harvest golem.

If you play it on curve you don't need +4 attack, +2 is plenty, and then you're looking at a priest with something out with 7 health on turn 3

but i guess i'm only a few packs away from having enough dust for the reaper too
not sold on malorne yet, feels like his/her ability doesn't really mean anything in a non fatigue situation
