We are currently developing an app and trying to get some initial feedback on its viability. This may not be the best/ideal place for the query but there have always been very helpful/experienced posters here in the H/A forums.
If you had a free app (without annoying things like in-your-face advertising, etc) that allowed you to get discounts from the registered retailers, would you use it? Assume that you could also filter the types of offers you get so you're not constantly bombarded by offers which are not relevant to you. This would also be location-based, so you only see offers which are in your vicinity, rather than some place you have no intention of heading to.

To make an app of that sort appeal to me it would need to be strictly set up with a clear unequivocal shut down button that ceases all activity until I actively choose to open the app again and look at available deals.
