Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Wow, I just read the ability on the Deathsinger's Gaze: "Draw upon the Light within this armor to boost your ability damage against higher level enemies." I now have a reason to upgrade my Heart of the Praxic Fire. Guess I'm doing some Glimmer farming when I get home, because I don't want to be without that for when I eventually get the helm.
Of course, it's probably a shit boost to damage. I would hope it boosts you to the same damage you would do if you were the same level, but probably something like a 10% increase.
The only weapon I've upgraded to post DLC stats is Icebreaker, because I use it all the time. I don't know if I'll upgrade any others, since I'm starting to get 331 legendaries that fill the gaps it seems like.
For me it's more "What am I going to use those strange coins for otherwise?"
That said, I still only upgrade weapons I know I'm going to use in PvE. Attack values don't matter in PvP so there's little to no point putting the upgrades into those weapons (like 'The Last Word')
They matter in Iron Banner. Now that Thorn is buffed properly, the lore feud between it and The Last Word actually plays out in the Crucible all the time, it's pretty interesting.

I read this really long, detailed post on reddit where the OP was putting forward and backing up his theory that Jaren Ward was actually Shin Malpur. After all that, first comment notifies the OP that there is a new card, The Last Word 3, which specifically details the death of Ward and the selection of Shin as his replacement. OP has no idea this card even existed.

Black Hammer is trying its hardest to become my new favorite sniper (yes I have an ice breaker). The perks work WONDERFULLY on bosses with reasonable hit boxes. Stun lock for days.

I'm not sure where you are reading this but Deathsinger's Gaze does none of this, I have it and it has Energy Projection (Grenade throw+) and a unique to Crota raid helmet ability called Moment of Power that does increased damage during Oversoul's Gaze
(as in when someone die at Crota only) perhaps you are reading some data mined pre-DLC notes somewhere?
Also, I tested out my 90% Discipline (and 90% Intelligence) gear with Heart of the Praxic Fire.
I can throw out 11 grenades during Radiance, if only the animation was faster I could throw at least one more (+Praise the Sun +Gift the of the Sun +Radiant Will) while also taking reduced damage. (+Radiant Skin)

Just get bigger numbers until you hit 18-20, at which point just get more light over darn near anything else. Fiddling comes well after you've sorted out that stuff.

Wouldn't worry too much about your gear until you get to level 20. At that point you'll be using stuff for a very long time, etc... so you'd want it all to fit proper.

So last night a few of us got talking about the expansion. Mainly because I couldn't take part in a few things we were up to at the time. I made the comment about how the main reason I wasn't buying the expansion was because it was just a new strike and a new raid.
Sure, that is part of it. I don't want to drop twenty dollars for two new small things to do in the rotation. It's the same RNG grind and for the most part it's just like throwing two new maps in a pvp hopper as far as I am concerned. However, there is more to it. The armor, and the guns. I asked a question, and it really illustrated the heart of why I just don't care to pick up the expansion. What new hand cannon is there for me to get excited about? What am I going to pursue that eludes me and teases me like Hawkmoon does?
I could talk about how ugly I think (most) of the raid armor is, how ugly the raid weapons are, and how underwhelmed I am by the new weapon offerings, but really it's two specific weapons. What is going to be better (for me) than a Hawkmoon or Ghallahorn? Nothing. I can have fun and pursue my coveted Hawkmoon, and all the while still progress. Why should I care about the expansion? It was just sort of an epiphany to me. For those who got the new expansion to pursue something you HAD to have, what new items that are expansion locked do you covet? I know some people really (really really really) like Black Hammer, but I think it would be great to hear some of the favorite items from the expansion. Oh, and the warlock raid helm looks dope as fuck, I wouldn't dream of insulting that.

Would work for me. I guess my question is, what level will you guys be? I could just drop by with my level 31 warlock and breeze through it but My hunter which is 29 would it need a lot more. If most people are 31 than I could probably bring my hunter over but if this is not the case, I'll bring my warlock.
