Actually, life has been all kittiwumpus, and even the good things have been a hella distraction, so...we'll donate double to the SummerDale Child's Play to make up for it.
But the real reason for the posting, some shout-outs, and maybe a revue or two.
First order of business, @JMan711 , once again showing you are a king among men, were it not for your avatar being all anti-king-stuffs, and all. Anyhow, this:
was well cooler than i'd any right to expect. Thanks a ton.
Second: @Pixelated Pixie i shoulda figured you'd'a have a gun like that. i'll keep an eye out for a PinkRocket Launcher, tho'.
Third, quick revues you can use...maybe?
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth: Okay, between this and the original, i've got around 200hrs, which is about what i put into Borderlands2. If that's not an endorsement, i'm not sure what is.
Dustforce: Looks awesome, sounds awesome (really, the soundtrack is something else...even for a genre i almost never listen to...it's just very, very good), plays like a boat half-full'a concrete. i mean, i'm sure that's a mix of me and it not being originally designed for a controller, but...i almost never seem to get a good smooth pace going, like i can with SuperMeatBoy. It's not that i can't recommend it, but i think it may need a slightly higher initial skill in platformers than i have.
Teleglitch: Besides being awesome, feels like a video game adaptation of Daniel Ksenych's The Other Side of Theory from The Book of All Flesh, which is a really great short story from a pretty great book full of mostly great short stories. Really, you should check it out. Then buy Teleglitch. Preferably with the soundtrack DLC, as that's pretty great as well.
Super Time Force: Ultra: i swear to entropy i will figure this out eventually. What i have been able to do, though, has been both funny and fun, and i wish i was better at it; but maybe you'll be! You should give it a try. Maybe you'll get farther than shooting Merfolk...which is where i'm stuck now.
Right, i think that's the last of it for the moment. i'll try to keep more on top of things, and i can't make promises, but i think Santa may have a couple of people in the thread on his nice list (if their wishlists don't get carpetbombed 'ere payday, that is).
it looks like there is no escape from @Isorn's gift rampage! thanks a lot for Dungeon Siege, the only one I ever played was 3 so it will be nice to see where it started

Okay question time.
I bought AssCreed: Butt Pirates Crack Flag Edition for the PS4 at launch with the system. I never opened it, it is still sitting sealed on my shelf. I have a bitching gaming PC and an even better gaming laptop. Since the PC version is on sale for 10 bucks right now during the Steam Winter Sale, might it be a good idea to just trade in or gift to a friend my PS4 version and get the PC version instead? Is the PC version significantly better, or better enough to be worth the extra 15 bucks for the game and season pass?
I'm really tempted, just for a few of the added Nvidia effects on the PC version.

I can't say about the quality of the PS4 vs PC version, but I'm pretty sure the PC version is more heavily tied in to Uplay. That seems to matter a lot to some people.
The biggest difference otherwise is which platform you play games on most.
I imagine Far Cry 4 will pop up on UK Steam sometime during the sale like AC:U did

So how does the new trade rule affect 4 packs of games? Like Castle Crashers, I grab the 4 pack, one goes into my account by default, and then the 3 extra in my inventory - I gotta wait 30 days to gift those? Or does the rule only restrict trading, gifts are OK?

It's one of those text-based choose your own adventure games from Choice of Games. You can instigate a robot uprising and enslave humanity. Seems like my kind of game! Thank you!

@cardboard delusions classed up my christmas vacation with Wolfenstein: New Order. I'mma chargin my nazikillin lazers! Thank you Agent
Let it be shouted from the highest of mountain peaks, in the most regal regions of royal realms, that @Emberquick is descendant of the most classy of tribes this savage world has known.
Thank you for your generosity, it is both uplifting and reaffirms beliefs that there are still good people left in these dark times.
@Cardboard Delusions lives up to his steam name. The US Agent has sent me on a mission to murder every single nazi I come across in Wolfenstein: New Order. Woooooooo! LOOKS LIKE NAZIS ARE BACK ON THE MENU BOYS.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
@CorriganX strikes. The annoying part of me being out of budget so soon after the sale starts is that I can't retaliate any more. You are also one my favourite people Corrigan. Even if you are from Florida/Mexico. I won't hold that against you. Thanks a bunch.
@maguano decided I needed more hacking n slashing in my life. So they gave me hack and slash. I don't remember when that went on my wishlist, but it looked nice.

Other than annoying Jragghen?
No

Timing worked out in the kiddies' favour, i guess. @Bobkins Flymo , this is just under the wire, but it's ok, right?
This is really on account of the Nemuri Hime's largess, but it's from both of our hearts.

Click on the "Most Wanted" tab. Kinda close, but if you want individual friends lists you'll still have to go person to person
Cool
Thanks.
I'm intrigued! I wonder what this is? 32 friends want it, but it is unavailable in my region. Curious!

Judging from several wishlists it is probably Far Cry 4.

Hmm, lemme see. Alien Isolation one side and Witcher III t'other.
Oh, yeah, good detective work Isorn! Looks like it is.
Mystery solved!
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality.
Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies and see,
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy,
Because I'm easy come, easy go,
Little high, little low,
Anyway the wind blows doesn't really matter to meeee. To mee~eee.
@An_alt, just gifted me
He knew it is quite easy
To just give me some DLC~
@An_alt, my heart now you won~
Because you knew I couldn't throw it all awaaay
Steam thread, ooOOOooh~
I suppose I cannot lie!
At this point I can't accept DLC anymore~
But carry on, carry ooon~
Know that it really does matter~
___________
I suppose the thing is, I could withstand not
The idea of letting DLC in a library to rot
It's more difficult to gift than a game.
As they could own it too, all the same.
Which is why I was more willing to accept.
But from now on, I will also reject.
