I don't even know how to track games I've beat. I mean, I know I beat Tomb Raider and 100% on a couple Lego Games, but how do you beat Crusader Kings II or Civ V. I mean honestly.

So Beaten for Civ V would be winning a game. Completed would be getting EVERY FUCKING ACHIEVEMENT.

Agreed. But I'm sure beaten is the context in which everyone is listing their games here I did "complete" Skyrim last year.
Yea. I guess completed would be a beaten game on a 4x game. But we all know that REALLY isn't the case. Also, 100% most of those games is just ... wow I don't even know.

I'm actually fairly close on vanilla Civ V.
Vanilla - 116/119
Scenario Pack: The Vikings - 2/10
Scenario Pack: Polynesia - 10/10
Scenario Pack: Korea - 2/11
Wonders of the Ancient World - 9/15
Spain and Inca - 10/10
Gods and Kings - 39/51
Brave New World - 24/60
Babylon - 1/1
Well, I played it for like a million hours. It should count twice!
State of Decay is awesome. It counts twice because you have the regular campaign and the Lifeline campaign...and the Breakdown endless campaign. So really, it could be counted three times. Also, it is awesome, in case I needed to state that again.
I still haven't gotten over my rage quit, but that hasn't changed how awesome it was and is still.
Perhaps I will fire it up again soon, but I'm still starting over from scratch because rage.
Also someone on reddit said that people who bought Nuclear Throne through the humble store will find a giftable copy of the game on the site and in their steam inventory. That is pretty generous.
This year I will make heavy use of Backloggery. Also, should I stop having fun with a game I will set it aside, write down the game, mark it as on hold, and move on to something else. Then, if I ever decide to play it again I'll have a ready-made list of waiting games rather than aimlessly scrolling through my library going "What do I want to play..."
A big thank you recap for all the gifts this winter Gale:
Thanks @BigDes for Alpha Protocol!
Thanks @Pimsy for Never Alone!
Thanks @Jragghen for Witcher 3!
Thanks @DaringDirk for Divinity: Original Sin and Bleed!
Thanks @Mike Danger for Kentucky Route Zero!
Thanks @ToyD for Dungeon of the Endless!
Thanks @Elvenshae for ORION: Prelude!
Thanks @Veagle for Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut!
Thanks @38thDoe for One Way Heroics!
Thanks @Madican for Divinity: Dragon Commander!
Also a big thank you for all the other gifts from the respective gifters in the year 2014!
Shoot, I'm still at 75 of 287 after over 200 hours. I need to stop letting the game random pick for me I guess.
Ah, yeah. I like to have a "goal" to shoot towards, so to speak, so I go "okay, what's the most common achievement I don't have....oh, I should play as the Inca? OKAY!"
And some of them were weird luck - like I got the Deity achievement because I was going for that on one of the scenarios which wasn't completely obscene with it, I won, and got it in the main game. Can't beat Immortal for the life of me, honestly, but I've got deity. Go fig.

Daily Deal is actually a developer pack for $5. Can't speak to all the games, but the individual games are also on sale, and include the Giana Sisters games, which are individually 80% off - $3 for the main game, a buck for the standalone expansion. Not the lowest price for either, but well worth it.
I just got through the Underpants Gnome sequence and I damn near lost I was laughing so hard at what I was witnessing
Did you stare long enough to get the achievement?
Achievement?!
Ah well, I have to play through it again to get some of those one-off ones anyway.

Apparently all the Civ V talk in here got @Talus9952 thinking about it and led to this
I'm a bit odd in that I've put 45 hours into the vanilla version of Civ V, just never got around to picking the expansions up. I'm really glad to have an excuse to go back to it, thanks Talus!

Craziest sale for me since my first. You guys are nuts.
What did you find too hard? I find the combat system hella wonky in that game. Did you just lose all your fights? The combat system, once you figure it out, is stupid easy, but you have to customize your ships or the AI will dominate you. I ended up not liking the game because it gets too easy after awhile.
So I figured out that I'm REALLY TERRIBLE at Endless Space.
I set it to newbie even, and still lost. And like, newbie was described as you'd have to try to lose and even then it would still be hard.
I think it's because I didn't expand enough early on.
That's actually to be expected in Endless Space. That's game's mighty weird until you get a feel for it.
More important than difficulty, though: turn OFF pirates (or whatever they call the barbarian equivalent). That'll let you get a feel for the mechanics without having that constant threat in early-game.
I lost every fight that involved the enemy having 3 or more ships. Also, their fleets always seem to be way bigger than mine after the beginning part of the game.

This, luckily is a pretty easy thing to fix. You HAVE to customize your ships weapons and pay attention to what your enemy is using. Nearly everyone uses kinetic at the beginning because it's at the bottom of the tree. So make your ships all one weapontype and defense against kinetic. Then play cards for that weapontype. They used to be bonused to a certain range, but I think disharmony messed with that a bit. My last playthrough didn't seem to have that bonus, but the tooltips still said it. Kinetic is short range. As you upgrade your weapons and defense, upgrade and retrofit your ships. If you play to your ships' strengths, even large fleets are pretty easy to beat handily.
Don't forget to unlock at least 1 additional ship hull near the beginning in the bottom tree, then weapons in the upper tree. When spending tonnage on your ships, in my opinion, the best defense is a good offense.
@Shade gave me Savant, InFlux, Ruse, and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream @Antoshka gave me Unholy Heights and Final Fantasy 13 @übergeek gave me Crypt of the Necrodancer @Karoz gave me Final Fantasy 4 @Big Classy gave me Witcher 3

So I just realized I don't actually need a mouse for Luftrausers, which would make it the perfect on-my-laptop-on-vacation game. So I booted it up and holy crap this game is amazing. I would never doubt Vlambeer but I wasn't expecting to get sucked into it this quickly; the controls feel fantastic once you figure them out, the frenetic chaos on the screen is beautiful as you use your melee plane to bash through it all, and the music is gorgeous.
(also got horribly murdered by the first laser ace I came across, but I got the cheevo for killing one because I had the nuke chassis at the time :rotate: )

You Need A Budget 4
Craziest sale for me since my first. You guys are nuts.
