I have a nicely kitted out Cobra I do everything in, and a Hauler and Sidewinder I ditched back in Ho Hsi. I'm sitting on a million credits and change. Anything I should consider heading down to 3447 and picking up before the 10% sale ends?
edit: Considering a type-6, but I might want to have more of a bankroll to upgrade it, and saving 100k might not be worth investing all my liquid funds into a ship I won't be able to make the most of for awhile.
you can ditch your hauler and sidey, the cobra completely replaces both of them. Once you get a little cash, Sideys are only good for ramming ships for the lols. The T6 is only good for trading, so if you want to spend a good amount of time farming some cash, get one.
There's a couple of things I can't figure out, maybe ya'll can help me.
When I use my Kill Warrant Scanner, how can I tell if they have a warrant? Their scan never changes to Wanted, but much of the time I'll kill them and still get a bounty.
Also, on bounty missions when you are offered an alternative solution (generally it's to abandon the mission), how do I decline? If I kill the guy that offered it, the mission update remains there and I can't track my progress for the original objective.
Hopefully I can hit 6.6 million credits before the 10% sale ends and pick up an asp. That'd set me up pretty well to start working on a better fsd. I'm starting to get antsy to begin my journey to the top of the galaxy.
Though, I feel kinda like I should wait for them to extend the maximum route. Not sure how long of a wait that would be, though. It also seems like it'd be prudent to see if they ever decide to program in a "sell all" button for discoveries. Setting a macro to spend 10 actual real life hours to sell all the exploration data I acquired on my trip sounds... less than pleasant.

First, you check the contacts frame after you scan them. That will tell you any bounties they have.
Second, you just do the first condition and ignore that guy.
unfortunately, i'll need quite a bit more money to get it where I want it. gunna fit myself with a B6 scoop and an A5 fsd, which will take a solid chunk of change for sure. Additionally, I'd like an advanced scanner and a surface scanner as well. Probably going to want to end up with about 15 million for everything, which will also give me an insurance buffer if I happen to run across disaster during my trek to the galactic core roof.
So, more rare good farming is in my future, unless I decide to cheese luxury good seekers, which actually sounds more boring.
In my experience the surface scanner is great, but personally the only time I've missed having the advanced scanner is when hunting black holes. But I'm not a super-completionist, so I don't mind missing a few planets.

Thank you, the first one seems obvious now that I know. I wish that information would be displayed in the target info for easier reference.
That's what I figured (regarding the second one). It seems poorly implemented, as it hides the initial mission info including the number of targets eliminated and the mission location.
In sadder news my dual railgun sidewinder couldn't defeat an elite anaconda because it took too many rounds to get through its shields and I ran out of ammo.

In my experience the mission will be replaced with the new description, but it will still show the number of kills you need for the old objective & progress towards the old objective. Finding the dude who asks you to turn traitor will reset your kill count for the mission.

So if I get, say, 2 of the required 3 kills and then run into the guy, it will reset me to 0 kills?
Ah, ok thank you. I thought it just wasn't showing how many kills I'd gotten, and it seemed like once I'd encountered the guy I was unable to finish the mission.
On an unrelated note, I spent an hour tracking down a 120k bounty (which was clearly out of my league). When I found the target, I came out of super cruise and they were literally 100 meters straight ahead, staring right at me. One shot, and I was toast.
Well I'm pretty sure I couldn't actually have won that fight regardless, but I also didn't realize that they would aggro immediately without so much as a courtesy scan.
The first Community Goals will be based around supply and bounties. "For example," Brookes says, "a faction might task our pilots with racking up a number of kills in a particular system, effectively sending massive numbers of players to war for or against particular group." He explains that these massive player migrations will have a knock-on effect on galaxy-wide economy and power structures.
I haven't played anywhere with significant numbers of CMDRs. It'll be really cool to see a bunch of actual people in one of the giant furballs. They'd better increase the winnings fighting in one of those places though. I can happily fights NPCs all day (supposing I don't bite off more than I can chew), but going up against another human is going to cause me to get spaced in pretty much every other engagement.
God, the Asp is my dream ship. Just right for being punchy and multipurpose without being too bulky. And god transitioning to that cockpit after the Adder would be a dream come true.

Hmm, I wonder if I could use that to make trades on ship parts, buy some guns, jump to neighbor system and sell, 10% profit.
In my experience, they all can....however there is usually some NPC sleeping on the only medium pad.

On the bright side, it also means that the insurance rebuy cost is also lowered on the discount ships.

I generally kill them if I have the chance when they give ridiculously low payout abandon mission alternates. That's insulting.

Time to see how low nvidia shadowplay's settings can go I guess.
all the shipyards and outfitting in lhs 3447 are super far away from the drop zone
Hence the discounts? Otherwise no one would ever visit.

edit: took another 7-8 USS to find it again.
Gonna have another play with it tonight because it was way easier to fight with but docking is impossible right now.
Mostly do to real life issues.
However I'm chugging along. Mostly running across brown drawfs with 10 or so ice planets and a belt.

Or, in my case, take out the thrusters on a Viper in one shot.
I was so embarrassed.
