Maybe... "Give the Spirit its Due"? Keeping this vaguely religious theme is tough.
I don't remember if we talked about it, but if you're down for questioning the spirit of vengeance sometime, you could end it with a question mark and it'd be like, what is it's due?

Phase 5 for everyone: Bad Blood
In the wake of the destruction of the Red Court Katrina Morrison attempts to form an alliance with the Fomor by delivering all of the minor talents attending UNLV into their clutches. Human traffickers in her employ along with a handful of mercenaries raid the university taking dozens of students prisoner. Thrown off balance by the death of the dragon and the sudden shift in the balance of power no one in the city is prepared to move against Morrison, except for a small group of supernatural beings who take it upon themselves to try and protect the innocent.

So I've decided to use this as an IC/OOC thread just to keep everything together, please post any OOC material in spoilers. I've provided an opening and some aspects for each of you, if you have any questions, concerns, or wishes don't hesitate to make them known.
Chapter One: Royal Flush
Roland
Las Vegas Special Vice Squad Headquarters
Felix Figgs grinned at Roland from across the flimsy table that stood between them, the expression was somewhat strained owing to his rapidly swelling bottom lip. Aside from the table there wasn’t much more to look at in the interrogation room. It was a bare, musty smelling cell, and it was surprisingly easy to forget that there was always someone watching from the other side of the one way mirror. Roland and a five other members of the vice squad had taken Figgs into custody two hours earlier, along with seven of his girls. At a glance none of the girls had looked older than thirteen, when they slapped the handcuffs on Felix one of the girls had pulled a knife on Roland.
With plastic restraints holding his arms behind his back the pimp couldn’t do much but talk, and he’d been doing just that for the better part of an hour. “When my lawyer gets here you’re going to be buried up to your eyeballs in shit man. By sunrise I’m gonna have your badge, your pension, and your ass.”
Aspect:A Poorly Decorated Prison Cell
There isn't much to be had in the interrogation room but it is sturdily built, no one is getting in or out of here without a sledgehammer and some time to spare.
Jacob
University of Nevada, Las Vegas
Hurrying along the cement path the meandered between buildings and over the campus Jacob. In the month since the Red Court had been wiped off of the face of the planet his territory had been threatened far too often. Even after the recent wave of abductions had been foiled most of the minor talents on campus had been ready to leave school and seek sanctuary elsewhere. Jacob had only been able to prevent a mass exodus by agreeing to help organize regular meetings where they could learn to better defend themselves. Even though he knew that most of the mortals in his care didn’t have the raw power needed to fend off any serious threat.
The overpowering stench of rotting meat and blood assaulted Jacob’s nostrils conjuring images of carrion and slaughterhouses. Struggling not to wretch he looked around and spotted a pair of hunched figures moving along the walkway behind him. They were still a fair distance away, and neither of them seemed to realize that he had taken any notice of them.
Aspect:Flickering Lamps
Campus maintenance has yet to repair some of the outdoor lights that were damaged during a recent freak storm. Darkness is broken by the occasional intermittent burst of light.

Buildings, benches, and trees the campus doesn't want for a lack of place to hide.
Haruna
The Springs
Wandering across the placid sands of the Springs Haruna paused to watch as a gray fox darted out onto the path ahead of her, the canine fixed its green lam-like eyes her for a moment before it moved into the back into the sparse vegetation bordering the trail. During the day the nature preserve was filled with people walking, biking, and taking in one of the many activities that were offered throughout the day. Even though they were far quieter at night that was when the Springs seemed to be the most alive to Haruna, when the tourists went home and nature managed to reclaim the landscape for a few brief hours.
“You’re late.” Glancing over her shoulder Haruna spotted an astonishingly short, lithe man perched twelve feet off of the ground atop a cactus. The elf leapt down from the towering cactus and landed as lightly as a flower petal dropping onto water, his expression however was far less delicate. “You know that Brianna doesn’t like to be kept waiting. She says it demonstrates a lack of discipline.”

In Las Vegas this is the cornucopia of life and the place where Summer is most powerful.
Aspect:Darkest Before Dawn
There aren't any lights out here and it is pitch black, Haruna knows her way and she's smart enough to avoid getting lost but any mortal without a source of light is out of luck.
Erik

The overwhelming aroma of eucalyptus and the unnerving silence that held sway in the halls of the private spa seemed as alien to Erik as the Nevernever ever had. A few contented looking people wearing robes and slippers looked askance at Erik’s clothes as they passed one another in the hall. The petite blonde leading him past room after room was wearing a blouse and skirt so white that it hurt his eyes to look at them. When he’d arrived in the reception area she’d been far less friendly, but the instant he’d presented her with his invitation she’d fixed a surgically enhanced smile into place and volunteered to escort him.
She came to an abrupt halt outside of one of the rooms and beamed at Erik. “If you need anything just press the call button by the door sir.” His guide didn’t waste any time heading back the way they’d come and she was out of sight in a matter of seconds.
After a moment’s hesitation Erik turned the delicate silver handle on the door and pushed it open. A thick cloud of steam enveloped him immediately and he struggled to breathe through the damp air. A stack of enormous black stone being heated from beneath them rested at the center of the room, the walls and the floor were made up of wooden panels that were beaded with moisture, a continuous wooden bench set into the wall ran along three quarters of the room. The Ice Queen, the highest ranking representative of the Winter Court in Las Vegas, and his patron was reclining on the bench on the far side of the room completely naked except for a wash cloth draped over her eyes. “Do come in and shut the door Erik, you’re letting out all of the steam.”

The thick steam filling the room partially obscures everything within.

The steam is raising the temperature and filling it with moisture.

I rose to my full height and looked over my shoulder at the Sidhe. "Sorry, Phelan, I got here as quickly as I could manage," I said, turning to face him and giving my best embarrassed smile. I adjusted the brooch pinning my robes in place and straightened the folds out of the fabric. I'm no stranger to fussy clothes but Brianna liked to take it to the next level, insisting we all wear 'clothes befitting our noble station'. Seeing as I'm the pet sorcerer of the little club, it means I have to wear lots of flowy silk in greens, golds and whites. It's comfortable, don't get me wrong, but it's a pain in the ass having to constantly change whenever there's an official meeting.
He rolls his eyes and starts walking down the path and I fall in beside him.
"Care to share what the occasion is, or is this another test?"
Cursing softly under his breath, a habit he'd picked up recently from prolonged exposure to Roland in high pressure situations, Jacob considered his options.
They don't smell human. They're on your mountain. Confront them, if need be, destroy them.
In his time living with humans, Jacob had come to understand that the instincts coursing through his storm-tossed blood were not always helpful.
Ducking off the path, the human-bird perched in the shadows, being sure to keep the nearest oval of surviving campus lighting in view.
This is where I admit that it never occurred to me that I don't know how to roll dFate on the forums. Not that I'd expect my Stealth to succeed without tagging one of the scene aspects anyway.
Zed if you want to use invisible castle or orkos to do your rolls feel free, you can also take advantage of the honor system and roll actual dice then post the result here.

"Look Felix," I begin, rubbing my hand over the unshaven stubble forming on my cheeks. "It's too bad that you tripped and hit the side of my squad car. But you're kidding yourself if you think that gives you any leverage over me. You're a pimp. Your girls are underage, and one of them tried to kill a cop. That's assault with a deadly weapon, and you're an accessory to that. Now, I'd like to help you out," the lie was ashes on my tongue, but hopefully I kept it off my face. "But you're not giving us anything in return. As it looks now, you're looking a 3-5 years, and that's with a sympathetic judge. Do you think you'd strike a judge as a particularly sympathetic case, Felix?"
Here's how I do it: I decide what I want to do, and I put "for <reason>" after the roll. Like this:

Then, once I know how well I did, I work that into the narrative. Of course, Sak has to set a difficulty, but I like to think this is my character's confidence in his actions and if he fails, well, it should be a surprise right? Feel free to override me if I'm wrong.

So, Felix rolled fairly well and even with his less than impressive Social abilities he manages to shrug off Roland's attempt to intimidate him. I'm going to compel Roland's A Fool Rushes In to inspire him to take things to a somewhat more physical arena. There's a Fate point in it for you if he does jdarksun
Jacob
Hidden in the shadows Jacob could see his pursuers moving in his direction at a much more quickly than they'd been moving before. One of them fell to his hands and knees and sniffed loudly like some sort of bloodhound searching for a scent. His companion pulled back the hood of his sweatshirt to reveal a face that blended the features of an ape and a dog in a horrific display. It had skin the color of a stone and unappealing coarse black hair rose in patches along the back of his head. The front door of one of the buildings standing between Jacob and the hunters swung open and a young woman lifting a full laundry basket stepped outside. She stopped when she caught sight of the ghoul and they went perfectly still as well watching her for the instant before she dropped the basket and darted back towards the door.
Both of the ghouls loped towards her mouths gaping wide as they howled like mad dogs. Bone spurs erupted from their hands as their nails grew into long filthy claws, their arms grew longer until they looked more like the limbs of some great ape than anything human. One of them jumped bearing the girl to the ground and draw and strangled scream from her as it crushed her against the ground knocking the air from her lungs. The second ghoul was in close pursuit, his jaws dripping reddened salve as he opened his mouth revealing dagger-like teeth.
I'm going to compel Jacob's Post-Doc Guardian Thunderbird of UNLV here. These things are about to tear this girl limb from limb and they seem, at the moment at least, to have forgotten all about Jacob giving him a chance to escape. However she will almost certainly die if he does so. If he intercede's on her behalf there's a Fate point in it for you.
Haruna
Phelan adjusted the bow dangling from his shoulder and turned off of the path. "All I know is that she has work for you, some sort of mission."
They walked on for a few minutes then Haruna caught a glimpse of the caretaker's tool shed and the mesh wire chicken coops, then they passed through the glamour that had been set in place. A spring appeared where there had been a decrepit looking shed and some dozing chickens. A carpet of moss spread out around the spring and more elves were milling around in their ceremonial clothing. All of them were armed with bows or swords, and they worn nearly identical garments made of tightly woven vines marked with red flowers over their breasts. Haruna knew that most of the Sidhe in Brianna's service were rangers charged with maintaining the security of the path into the Nevernever that existed here. A few of the elves nodded politely to Haruna and Phelan as they passed, but most seemed too deeply involved in their conversations to pay them much attention.

The sight of two beasts falling upon a member of his tribe is all the impetus Jacob needs to answer the call of his blood. The air electrifies as he leaps from the shadows, landing on the sidewalk ten strides from the scene of impending violence. Drawing a deep breath, he expels it with enough force to shatter every window on this side of the science building.
I'm using my Rote Spell "Thunder Rolls" to shake them up and get their attention off the victim. I take one point of Mental Stress drawing power.

I shrug, and turn away. I take a few steps toward the door, to let the distance between us grow. Then I turn and charge, running with all the speed given to me by every one of the girls he's taken advantage of. I pick him up and slam him against the wall. "That's the problem, scumbag. They're not yours to give."

"Hmm," Erik says, shutting the door behind him. "You know, this place isn't half bad. I'd even appreciate the view if you weren't- well..." The mage trails off, pointedly looking around the room and pointing towards his ear.
If you weren't my great-great... something, I'd do more than enjoy-, he thinks, before catching himself. Thaaaaaat might be a bad line of thought.
Letting the implication of spying eyes and ears drop for a moment, he continues. "I've always been more a fan of the cold, but this is actually pretty nice. Do you mind?" He gestures towards the seat opposite his nude master, moving to unbutton his shirt, preferring not to ruin it in the steam.
Shards of glass showered down onto the grass and the walkway like a downpour of gems, luckily no one else had been there to witness it because Jacob was certain they'd have been torn to ribbons. The ghoul that had tackled the girl to the ground howled and clutched the sides of his head stupidly as he rolled on the ground clearly relieved of his senses for the time being. Apparently the second ghoul had not been caught so unawares as his clan mate. He'd spotted Jacob leaping out of his hiding place and ducked into the entryway of the science building, granting him a measure of protection from the onslaught. When the echoes of thunder faded to silence across the courtyard the ghoul bounded out and charged towards Jacob slashing at his with long filthy claws.
Enjoy your Fate point Zed, so the ghouls actually have pretty good alertness, unfortunately the college student doesn't. One of the ghouls takes a pounding to the eardrums as does their intended victim. The second ghoul manages to avoid having to sleep for a fan on for a few nights in order to get over the endless ringing in his ears. I'm going to say that the ghoul who got messed up is in no shape to try attacking Jacob right now, his buddy has no such trouble.

Haruna
The retort that Phelan had died on his lips when he caught sight of Brianna stepping into the grove. She towered over the other Summer Court denizens, her height another constant reminder of her mixed heritage. Even after choosing to embrace her Sidhe nature hundreds of years ago she had never been able to ride herself of small remnants of that entirely. She moved as smoothly and inhumanly as any of them, but Haruna had long ago noticed a slight tenseness in her stride, in her bearing, and in her face. As always she wore leathers and twin swords dangled at her sides. The other elves fell to their knees as she passed them with practiced ease, most of them had been under her command for more than a century and they knew the penalty for failure to observe the proper protocol. Brianna stopped at the edge of the spring and looked around imperiously at the assembly before gesturing for them to rise. "As we speak the agents of Winter are moving to secure their claim on the human's city, and in doing so they will bring Queen Mab one step closer to ensuring her dominance here. I know some among you question the importance of our mission here, but I will not allow the queen of air and darkness to gain on foothold so close to a gateway into our realm. We will not fail Queen Titania."
"Phelan organize hourly patrols of the perimeter. No one is to be allowed to pass through our borders until I allow it."
"It will be done." Phelan moved towards the gathered elves and began breaking them up into smaller groups.

Felix struggled weakly trying to slip out of Roland's grip, but he might as well be trying to push a mountain off of him for all the effect he had. His eyes widened as Roland lifted his feet up off of the floor.
The door to the interrogation room flew open and Sergeant Stella Andrews stepped into the room. "Flores that's enough, put him down."
She didn't raise her voice when she spoke but the tone made it clear that she was in no mood to entertain anyone foolish enough to argue with her at that moment.

"Enjoy yourself Erik, I'd invite you to have your clothes sent out to the laundry while you're here, but I'm afraid you won't be staying for very long." The Ice Queen waved her hand and a sheet of ice fell on top of the hot rocks with a loud crack. Steam rose as the ice split and melted hissing like a nest of vipers atop the dark stones. "How fares your little flower?"

"And you should know how everything fares with my 'little flower'. I haven't even seen her in a couple nights and last time I did, I think everyone at Hakkasan noticed us, so I highly doubt your spies missed us. I haven't found out any 'secret summer business' if that's what you mean. I thought we agreed that the point was to make this a long term arrangement? I can't pressure her for information now or she'll figure it out."
"Come on, it's not like people aren't already talking. I'm the only ice mage in this half of the US and I just happen to appear a week after you do. It's taking all my connections just to cover the time I'm with you already."
A sudden gust of wind stirs the branches of nearby trees as Jacob flashes to one side, faster than should be humanly possible. The air fills with static and a low howl rapidly gathers strength until it becomes an ear-splitting, inhuman screech of rage and frustration. The night sky of Las Vegas, never truly dark thanks to the gaudy lights of the casinos, is suddenly and painfully blue and bright, then dims again to its typical half-night. The smell of ozone mingles with that of seared flesh and smoking cement.

Now, Jacob's going all out.
Gathering 9 shifts of power. I can control 6 for 1 point of Mental Stress thanks to my focus, then I take 1 more point of Mental Stress for 7 and the minor consequence "Careless and Stupid" (regarding the student I just injured) to bring me to 9 total.
All of that, or at least as much as I can control, is going into Weapons 9 lightning attack on the ghoul that's still standing.

Just a little excited to take the trash out." Once he's down, I let him go and briskly turn away. On the way out, I clap the sergeant companionably on the shoulder. "Have fun!"
"I only ask because I know you're young, I thought you might want a few pointers in the art of seduction." "The Ice Queen removed the cloth covering her face and eyes the color of a frozen like fixed on Erik sending shivers up his spine despite the warmth. "At any rate I didn't call you hear to discuss your love life, in fact I was hoping you might be able to make yourself useful for a change and locate someone for me."
Haruna
"Apparently Rutland is some sort of an information broker, and I have reason to believe that he intends to enter into an alliance with the Ice Queen. I don't plan on letting her gain another ally." Brianna raised her thin eyebrow as she looked at Haruna. "However if you do not believe you are up to the task perhaps one of my rangers would be better suited to deliver him to me."
Jacob
Electricity arced off of the ghoul and struck the girl laying on the ground behind him as it shuddered violently. Her mouth opened in a silent scream as she rolled away from the ghoul and passed out. The blackened ghoul's corpse toppled backwards tendrils of acrid smelling smoke trailing off of his body. Coming to his senses the remaining ghoul spotted to scorched remnants of his partner and stumbling to his feet charged around the corner of the science building.
Ghoul: 4. Well crud that isn't good for my ghoul, he's definitely going get taken out by Jacob's lightning blast. I'm going to throw in another compel for Jacob's Can't Make an Omelette Without Breaking a Few Eggs aspect. If Jacob pursue the ghoul rather than attending to the stunned girl then he'll earn another Fate point for his trouble.
Roland
Roland heard the door to the interrogation room slam shut behind him and he heard Andrew's footsteps approaching. She seized him by the shoulder and pushed him into the unoccupied room across the hall. She positioned herself between Roland and the door and folded her arms across her chest as she stared him down. "Are you trying to get yourself tossed out on your ass? If that's the case do me a favor and try not to blow any of our cases on your way out the door."

In the wake of the destruction of the Red Court Katrina Morrison attempts to form an alliance with the Fomor by delivering all of the minor talents attending UNLV into their clutches. Human traffickers in her employ along with a handful of mercenaries raid the university taking dozens of students prisoner. Thrown off balance by the death of the dragon and the sudden shift in the balance of power no one in the city is prepared to move against Morrison, except for a small group of supernatural beings who take it upon themselves to try and protect the innocent.

Chapter One: Royal Flush
Roland
Las Vegas Special Vice Squad Headquarters
Felix Figgs grinned at Roland from across the flimsy table that stood between them, the expression was somewhat strained owing to his rapidly swelling bottom lip. Aside from the table there wasn’t much more to look at in the interrogation room. It was a bare, musty smelling cell, and it was surprisingly easy to forget that there was always someone watching from the other side of the one way mirror. Roland and a five other members of the vice squad had taken Figgs into custody two hours earlier, along with seven of his girls. At a glance none of the girls had looked older than thirteen, when they slapped the handcuffs on Felix one of the girls had pulled a knife on Roland.
With plastic restraints holding his arms behind his back the pimp couldn’t do much but talk, and he’d been doing just that for the better part of an hour. “When my lawyer gets here you’re going to be buried up to your eyeballs in shit man. By sunrise I’m gonna have your badge, your pension, and your ass.”
There isn't much to be had in the interrogation room but it is sturdily built, no one is getting in or out of here without a sledgehammer and some time to spare.
Jacob
University of Nevada, Las Vegas
Hurrying along the cement path the meandered between buildings and over the campus Jacob. In the month since the Red Court had been wiped off of the face of the planet his territory had been threatened far too often. Even after the recent wave of abductions had been foiled most of the minor talents on campus had been ready to leave school and seek sanctuary elsewhere. Jacob had only been able to prevent a mass exodus by agreeing to help organize regular meetings where they could learn to better defend themselves. Even though he knew that most of the mortals in his care didn’t have the raw power needed to fend off any serious threat.
The overpowering stench of rotting meat and blood assaulted Jacob’s nostrils conjuring images of carrion and slaughterhouses. Struggling not to wretch he looked around and spotted a pair of hunched figures moving along the walkway behind him. They were still a fair distance away, and neither of them seemed to realize that he had taken any notice of them.
Campus maintenance has yet to repair some of the outdoor lights that were damaged during a recent freak storm. Darkness is broken by the occasional intermittent burst of light.
Aspect: Lots of Cover
Buildings, benches, and trees the campus doesn't want for a lack of place to hide.
Haruna
The Springs
Wandering across the placid sands of the Springs Haruna paused to watch as a gray fox darted out onto the path ahead of her, the canine fixed its green lam-like eyes her for a moment before it moved into the back into the sparse vegetation bordering the trail. During the day the nature preserve was filled with people walking, biking, and taking in one of the many activities that were offered throughout the day. Even though they were far quieter at night that was when the Springs seemed to be the most alive to Haruna, when the tourists went home and nature managed to reclaim the landscape for a few brief hours.
“You’re late.” Glancing over her shoulder Haruna spotted an astonishingly short, lithe man perched twelve feet off of the ground atop a cactus. The elf leapt down from the towering cactus and landed as lightly as a flower petal dropping onto water, his expression however was far less delicate. “You know that Brianna doesn’t like to be kept waiting. She says it demonstrates a lack of discipline.”
In Las Vegas this is the cornucopia of life and the place where Summer is most powerful.
Aspect: Darkest Before Dawn
There aren't any lights out here and it is pitch black, Haruna knows her way and she's smart enough to avoid getting lost but any mortal without a source of light is out of luck.
Erik
Spa by Mandara
The overwhelming aroma of eucalyptus and the unnerving silence that held sway in the halls of the private spa seemed as alien to Erik as the Nevernever ever had. A few contented looking people wearing robes and slippers looked askance at Erik’s clothes as they passed one another in the hall. The petite blonde leading him past room after room was wearing a blouse and skirt so white that it hurt his eyes to look at them. When he’d arrived in the reception area she’d been far less friendly, but the instant he’d presented her with his invitation she’d fixed a surgically enhanced smile into place and volunteered to escort him.
She came to an abrupt halt outside of one of the rooms and beamed at Erik. “If you need anything just press the call button by the door sir.” His guide didn’t waste any time heading back the way they’d come and she was out of sight in a matter of seconds.
After a moment’s hesitation Erik turned the delicate silver handle on the door and pushed it open. A thick cloud of steam enveloped him immediately and he struggled to breathe through the damp air. A stack of enormous black stone being heated from beneath them rested at the center of the room, the walls and the floor were made up of wooden panels that were beaded with moisture, a continuous wooden bench set into the wall ran along three quarters of the room. The Ice Queen, the highest ranking representative of the Winter Court in Las Vegas, and his patron was reclining on the bench on the far side of the room completely naked except for a wash cloth draped over her eyes. “Do come in and shut the door Erik, you’re letting out all of the steam.”
The thick steam filling the room partially obscures everything within.

The steam is raising the temperature and filling it with moisture.

I rose to my full height and looked over my shoulder at the Sidhe. "Sorry, Phelan, I got here as quickly as I could manage," I said, turning to face him and giving my best embarrassed smile. I adjusted the brooch pinning my robes in place and straightened the folds out of the fabric. I'm no stranger to fussy clothes but Brianna liked to take it to the next level, insisting we all wear 'clothes befitting our noble station'. Seeing as I'm the pet sorcerer of the little club, it means I have to wear lots of flowy silk in greens, golds and whites. It's comfortable, don't get me wrong, but it's a pain in the ass having to constantly change whenever there's an official meeting.
He rolls his eyes and starts walking down the path and I fall in beside him.
"Care to share what the occasion is, or is this another test?"
Cursing softly under his breath, a habit he'd picked up recently from prolonged exposure to Roland in high pressure situations, Jacob considered his options.
They don't smell human. They're on your mountain. Confront them, if need be, destroy them.
In his time living with humans, Jacob had come to understand that the instincts coursing through his storm-tossed blood were not always helpful.
Ducking off the path, the human-bird perched in the shadows, being sure to keep the nearest oval of surviving campus lighting in view.

Then, once I know how well I did, I work that into the narrative. Of course, Sak has to set a difficulty, but I like to think this is my character's confidence in his actions and if he fails, well, it should be a surprise right? Feel free to override me if I'm wrong.

Hidden in the shadows Jacob could see his pursuers moving in his direction at a much more quickly than they'd been moving before. One of them fell to his hands and knees and sniffed loudly like some sort of bloodhound searching for a scent. His companion pulled back the hood of his sweatshirt to reveal a face that blended the features of an ape and a dog in a horrific display. It had skin the color of a stone and unappealing coarse black hair rose in patches along the back of his head. The front door of one of the buildings standing between Jacob and the hunters swung open and a young woman lifting a full laundry basket stepped outside. She stopped when she caught sight of the ghoul and they went perfectly still as well watching her for the instant before she dropped the basket and darted back towards the door.
Both of the ghouls loped towards her mouths gaping wide as they howled like mad dogs. Bone spurs erupted from their hands as their nails grew into long filthy claws, their arms grew longer until they looked more like the limbs of some great ape than anything human. One of them jumped bearing the girl to the ground and draw and strangled scream from her as it crushed her against the ground knocking the air from her lungs. The second ghoul was in close pursuit, his jaws dripping reddened salve as he opened his mouth revealing dagger-like teeth.
Haruna
Phelan adjusted the bow dangling from his shoulder and turned off of the path. "All I know is that she has work for you, some sort of mission."
They walked on for a few minutes then Haruna caught a glimpse of the caretaker's tool shed and the mesh wire chicken coops, then they passed through the glamour that had been set in place. A spring appeared where there had been a decrepit looking shed and some dozing chickens. A carpet of moss spread out around the spring and more elves were milling around in their ceremonial clothing. All of them were armed with bows or swords, and they worn nearly identical garments made of tightly woven vines marked with red flowers over their breasts. Haruna knew that most of the Sidhe in Brianna's service were rangers charged with maintaining the security of the path into the Nevernever that existed here. A few of the elves nodded politely to Haruna and Phelan as they passed, but most seemed too deeply involved in their conversations to pay them much attention.

A swarm of pixies soared up out of a fern behind them by and soared overhead showering them in leaves and glittering dust. Phelan brushed some of the brightly colored dust out of his hair disdainfully. "Aside from a lack of pixies."

The air electrifies as he leaps from the shadows, landing on the sidewalk ten strides from the scene of impending violence. Drawing a deep breath, he expels it with enough force to shatter every window on this side of the science building.

I shook my hair lightly, dislodging some of the dust, and gave Phelan an impish smile.
"A challenge, of course."
I shrug, and turn away. I take a few steps toward the door, to let the distance between us grow. Then I turn and charge, running with all the speed given to me by every one of the girls he's taken advantage of. I pick him up and slam him against the wall. "That's the problem, scumbag. They're not yours to give."

"Hmm," Erik says, shutting the door behind him. "You know, this place isn't half bad. I'd even appreciate the view if you weren't- well..." The mage trails off, pointedly looking around the room and pointing towards his ear.

Letting the implication of spying eyes and ears drop for a moment, he continues. "I've always been more a fan of the cold, but this is actually pretty nice. Do you mind?" He gestures towards the seat opposite his nude master, moving to unbutton his shirt, preferring not to ruin it in the steam.
Shards of glass showered down onto the grass and the walkway like a downpour of gems, luckily no one else had been there to witness it because Jacob was certain they'd have been torn to ribbons. The ghoul that had tackled the girl to the ground howled and clutched the sides of his head stupidly as he rolled on the ground clearly relieved of his senses for the time being. Apparently the second ghoul had not been caught so unawares as his clan mate. He'd spotted Jacob leaping out of his hiding place and ducked into the entryway of the science building, granting him a measure of protection from the onslaught. When the echoes of thunder faded to silence across the courtyard the ghoul bounded out and charged towards Jacob slashing at his with long filthy claws.

Haruna
The retort that Phelan had died on his lips when he caught sight of Brianna stepping into the grove. She towered over the other Summer Court denizens, her height another constant reminder of her mixed heritage. Even after choosing to embrace her Sidhe nature hundreds of years ago she had never been able to ride herself of small remnants of that entirely. She moved as smoothly and inhumanly as any of them, but Haruna had long ago noticed a slight tenseness in her stride, in her bearing, and in her face. As always she wore leathers and twin swords dangled at her sides. The other elves fell to their knees as she passed them with practiced ease, most of them had been under her command for more than a century and they knew the penalty for failure to observe the proper protocol. Brianna stopped at the edge of the spring and looked around imperiously at the assembly before gesturing for them to rise. "As we speak the agents of Winter are moving to secure their claim on the human's city, and in doing so they will bring Queen Mab one step closer to ensuring her dominance here. I know some among you question the importance of our mission here, but I will not allow the queen of air and darkness to gain on foothold so close to a gateway into our realm. We will not fail Queen Titania."
"Phelan organize hourly patrols of the perimeter. No one is to be allowed to pass through our borders until I allow it."
"It will be done." Phelan moved towards the gathered elves and began breaking them up into smaller groups.
Brianna turned her gaze on Haruna. "There is a mortal in the city that must be found and brought here at once. Haruna I charge you with this task, his name is Ryan Rutland."
Roland
Felix struggled weakly trying to slip out of Roland's grip, but he might as well be trying to push a mountain off of him for all the effect he had. His eyes widened as Roland lifted his feet up off of the floor.
The door to the interrogation room flew open and Sergeant Stella Andrews stepped into the room. "Flores that's enough, put him down."
She didn't raise her voice when she spoke but the tone made it clear that she was in no mood to entertain anyone foolish enough to argue with her at that moment.

The Ice Queen waved her hand and a sheet of ice fell on top of the hot rocks with a loud crack. Steam rose as the ice split and melted hissing like a nest of vipers atop the dark stones. I haven't found out any 'secret summer business' if that's what you mean. I thought we agreed that the point was to make this a long term arrangement? I can't pressure her for information now or she'll figure it out."

A sudden gust of wind stirs the branches of nearby trees as Jacob flashes to one side, faster than should be humanly possible. The air fills with static and a low howl rapidly gathers strength until it becomes an ear-splitting, inhuman screech of rage and frustration. The night sky of Las Vegas, never truly dark thanks to the gaudy lights of the casinos, is suddenly and painfully blue and bright, then dims again to its typical half-night. The smell of ozone mingles with that of seared flesh and smoking cement.
Now, Jacob's going all out.
Gathering 9 shifts of power. I can control 6 for 1 point of Mental Stress thanks to my focus, then I take 1 more point of Mental Stress for 7 and the minor consequence "Careless and Stupid" (regarding the student I just injured) to bring me to 9 total.
All of that, or at least as much as I can control, is going into Weapons 9 lightning attack on the ghoul that's still standing.

Electricity arced off of the ghoul and struck the girl laying on the ground behind him as it shuddered violently. Her mouth opened in a silent scream as she rolled away from the ghoul and passed out. The blackened ghoul's corpse toppled backwards tendrils of acrid smelling smoke trailing off of his body. Coming to his senses the remaining ghoul spotted to scorched remnants of his partner and stumbling to his feet charged around the corner of the science building.
Roland
Roland heard the door to the interrogation room slam shut behind him and he heard Andrew's footsteps approaching. She seized him by the shoulder and pushed him into the unoccupied room across the hall. She positioned herself between Roland and the door and folded her arms across her chest as she stared him down. "Are you trying to get yourself tossed out on your ass? If that's the case do me a favor and try not to blow any of our cases on your way out the door."
