do we know if Crota regenerating his shield when you break DPS is a bug or a feature?
It only seems to happen when you stop damaging him for a few seconds (one second?) and I could see them putting it in to keep people from keeping him damaged like they do with the swordbearer.
Woohoo, finally got the exotic bounty for the super good advice. I kept getting the other bounties over and over, but now I have four exotic bounties on my titan.

I'm really not doing so well in the crucible anymire, now that iron banner is on hiatus again, but I am having fun anyways. It's full of TLWs and mythoclasts and ballerhorns and icebreakers and is quite silly.
Anyone else on Xbox One want to grab the Weekly/Nightfall before the reset tonight? I'd be down for VoG as well - I'm on now doing bounties .

Got the scout rifle from Crota and am about to give it a test drive. The verdict on Glowhoo is that is looks incredible on Hunter capes and Warlock robes and underwhelming on Titan armor. But I don't care. I'm wearing it anyway. Oh, and it matches the Glasshouse, by the way! It's the only shader that does, basically. And now I wish I'd picked one up from Xur.
In all seriousness, fuck hard mode Crota. In the last week I've spent around 10-11 hours total on JUST the boss fight in hard mode. Haven't killed him once. I've come very, very close several times, but haven't finished him off, sometimes due to bugs, sometimes due to one person making a very small error. And fuck the heavy ammo bug all to goddamn hell. Seriously bungie? It's been almost six months.
This is the first fight in Destiny I've ever honestly wanted to cheese. If it was just us losing to play errors or a bad strategy, I'd be ok with it. But it's not. It's us losing to bugs, disappearing swords, swordbearers playing hide and seek, crota standing back up or pulling shield regen WHILE BEING HIT BY A GJALLORHORN AND ITS WOLFPACK, all four knights coming into the crystal room before the shield drops, the list goes on for awhile. I'm clearing hard mode crota once on each of my characters, if I don't get the ships or weapons, well too goddamn bad. This artificial buggy difficulty bullshit is just too goddamn deep for me.
Congrats to everyone who's been able to take him down so far. Way to overcome the encounter and the bugs.

I'm not very impressed with the crota pulse rifle. It fires crazy fast and is actually pretty damn stable too but I just don't think the damage measures up to an auto rifle or hand canon.
Doesn't help that one of the perks is only good for one enemy type.
Hit 32 with my Titan main and downed Hard Mode Crota right before the reset. All I got for it was the shader and a spare raid helm, but it felt good to succeed after several very close failures. Found a lot of success with bubble focused strategy that isn't chilling in the center, which seems like it's too random.
So that was a good Destiny week.
Just solo'd the lantern maze on HM Crota using the Don't Touch Me's. I had seen people do it but never tried myself, was a ton of fun juking around the thrall and ogre at the end.
In the weekly, if you have 3 people with Gjallerharrrn and synthesis, you can down Omnighoul early when she appears in the green hallway before the final fight.
Of course you probably will have to do the whole thing for the Nightfall, but we knocked out two runs of the Nightfall/Weekly each in under two hours. It helps to have a bubble with Weapons of Light and any of the new raid guns (especially the auto rifle with the knight-shield perk).

I thought even if you "killed" her then, you still had to do the rest of the mission. I've never tried to finish her off right after the door.

I dunno, I think I prefer triple burn over angry. Yeah, the wizards and boomers are jerks, but you can lock 'em down with head shots.
