Edutainment [Chat]...Unless You Are The Mongols

So there are things out there that can both entertain (in being exciting, funny, dramatic and/or other things) and educational (you learn stuff).

This has been something of a joke in the past, but some media really strike the balance to both entertain you and teach you about stuff!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PszVWZNWVA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBY9qJpU0W8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbBHk_zLTmY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_AsF3Rfw8w

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xFdfc4VnL8
(This counts shut up)

So what edutainment media do you consume?

And more importantly, what edutainment media should I consume?

You made a critical error RMS

I spent the last 20 minutes watching youtubes rather than bumping your [Chat]

I don't listen to Iggy Azaelia but one of my friends was complaining that Iggy quoted Slick Rick without getting the cadence right

So I've been listening to Slick Rick today

Her songs have guest stars on it that are better than she is. That's why I listen to her songs and her music videos aren't too terrible.

This reminds me of the only Linkin Park album I like: Reanimation.

You know what's good about Linken Park? They've aged better than Limp Bizkit. LB wasn't my favorite band when they were popular, they were always terrible but damn, it physically hurts listening their songs today. I now understand why people didn't like them.

I never saw LP as a rock band. I saw them as an electronica band with electric guitars.

I'm guessing they are trying to keep it somewhat limited to places with

    1. Decent public transit (which I'm assuming Boston has? I dunno)
    2. Lots of colleges/universities (dorms for athletes, and readymade athletic facilities)
    3. Lack of significant crime problem (sorry Chicago)

It's not that bad, if you see it as a parody. Which it was. Also, they had the greatest Catwoman ever.

edit: I was mistaken, the best Catwoman was Anne Hathaway.

    Oh sure

But it's still a pretty small city. I'm boggled to think of where they'd build Olympic park where it's be easily accessible on the T

People in LA seem to have fond memories of the '84 Olympics. It might be able to handle another one.

Isn't the LA coliseum a total dump though? And the only reason it's still in use is nostalgia?

To get an Olympics you have to build a lot of new stuff to bribe the IOC, I mean invest in your city's future.

So you can't just use old stadiums, you have to renovate them and build new ones that then go unused for the rest of time.

London may be the only city that has successfully redeveloped Olympic park, and even then I'm not sure they were entirely successful.

I wouldn't want then games in my hometown.
