Internet situation for LAN area?

Is there going to be any at all? If so, what ports will be open? Just 80 for surfing? Or will there be some game ports open for fast redirect downloads for custom maps and mods? If not, is Lanwerx going to be hosting all that stuff for the masses?

    I think its already been stated there will be no Internet. Go ahead and get your patches, and I guess people can share out any mods they want to play with others.

    Yeah I'm getting everything worked out just in case. If there's no internet, then hopefully by about noon I will have a single machine that will have pretty much every patch/mod for the popular games people can go to to get that stuff. I'm also going to try and set up a redirect server for 2k4 so anyone running a server with custom maps or whatever can put that in there for fast dls.

    Lanwerx will not be providing any dedicated servers for the event. The 40 provided systems will be used in tournaments as dedicated machines and to play on, but none will be used for file hosting. All of the provided machines will have the most up to date patches as well as most mods. A few people have stated they are going to be hosting files for the games at the event, but right now we have no official support of it.

    Well I suppose we're not official, but BLE is bringing 4 servers to host dedicated games on. But be warned...we're biased. ;) One of them will host a slew of files and such as well.
