The frustrating part for me was that she liked to place them in corners; specifically where melee couldn't run around them to avoid the gun, and still DPS. Because Blizz LOVES melee.................

Honestly even trying to do that doesn't work for me. I got hit by the turret even if I wasn't hitting the ball of fire, somehow.
They ALSO do a ton of damage if you touch them.
Or think about touching them.
I think we put 3? of our ranged on it on our kill until the other two were down. This week should be much smoother
I also had a similar issue Saturday where Admiral would channel Penetrating Shot right after dropping a turret.
I suspect they have a bigger radius than their graphic indicates. Or maybe that when the cannon fires a small area around it takes damage too.
I just try to be on the other side of the room at this point. Ranged can deal with that shit.

Melee really shouldn't be on the turrets at all. We have all our ranged burn them down while melee stays on the boss.
And yeah, the fireballs have stupid big hit boxes.

On top of the fireballs having bad hitboxes, the turrets themselves damage anything they come in contact with (except pets and the like).
It would be nice if she actually placed the turret at her feet when she jumps around, instead of randomly around her. Then you can predict where it drops and gtfo before then
Got my second invasion mount last night (had the warthog, got the wolf). There's what, two more?
You...you get mounts from invasions??
Almost forgot about this. There are four mounts, two are color variations on the Draenor model of the wolf mount (see Garn Nighthowl), a warthog, and an elekk.

Got my 715 ring and Garona today! Yay! Had to run LFR Blackhand for the last *5* runes I needed (could have waited for us to kill something else later in the week but wanted it today :P)... All I can say is: ugggg... Seriously LFR, why do you have to be so bad? Like, I get most of you are terrible and are going to step on every mine as if it was candy. I get that. But why would the tanks run him haphazardly around the room, usually through the fire that is all over the place because no one kills the canons? Why? In phase 3... you see a big circle around you and something that says "YOU GOT A BOMB ON YOU!" Why is your first instinct to stand on the tank? And tank, when I get a bomb and correctly plant it off to the side, why the fuck did you run to it and tank the boss on top of it?!!? HOW DUMB ARE YOU PEOPLE! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG......... People were so bad that the whole platform was full of fail craters from random bombs placed randomly all over the fucking place.
Needless to say, I fucking hate LFR. We killed him after two stacks of the fail buff (barely). I got my runes. I am never doing that god damn fight in LFR again.
Anyways, the mission to actually get Garona can go to fucking hell too. "Oh man, you just gotta stealth through this area and have Garona assassinate guys so they can't call the alarm!" - except when she jumps behind them, twiddles her thumb, and then nothing happens. Or when the guy sees you from halfway across the room and you have to start the whole fucking thing over. Seriously, just let me kill my way through. I can do that. Or, like, I'm a Rogue. Let me use my non-fail stealth that isn't detected 50 miles away maybe?
I ended up finding out you could cheese it by joining an LFG group. When you go to the other realm, the mobs despawn and you can cheat your way through. I wouldn't have cheated if the quest wasn't super, super broken. But yeah, fuck that quest.
you actually can kill your way though, if you can stun/kill the guys before they get their alert yell off
I kinda enjoyed that mission; wouldn't want to do it all the time but a little bit of pattern watching is kinda fun. I didn't have the bugs that some people seem to be dealing with though

No, half of them don't die, then someone halfway across the room spots Garona and sounds the alarm. It's bugged to hell.

I switched my secondary spec on my mage from frost to fire yesterday. It's definitely different from arcane, which I am the most comfortable with, and it's going to take a while for me to learn and understand how to get the most out of my damage output. I'm relying mostly on Ice Veins and this guide. I've not tested it in the wild yet; just pelted the training dummy in my garrison for a while. I might give it a shot in my guild's raid tonight. We'll see.
I need to get some nice WeakAuras going for that spec too. I have some good ones for arcane, and I'm pretty sure the string I copied had some fire spec ones that I deleted because I'm an idiot and thought I'd never use them and now I have no idea where I got them. I'll probably just copy a few of the arcane ones and change them to suit the various fire procs.
I got my first heroic Blackrock Foundry cache mission last night. I ended up getting the trinket from Blackhand, Blackiron Micro Crucible. I currently have Sandman's Pouch and Darmac's Unstable Talisman and am thinking it might be best to replace Sandman's Pouch with the new trinket for my arcane spec and the other one for fire spec.
Just killed Maidens in 1 shot! @Mugsley died twice. It was beautiful.
Edit: the kill I mean :P
It's not a kill if I don't die at least twice.
In other news, it was GLORIOUS being able to go 8/10 Heroic in one night, with smooth kills the whole way through.
Also, the Enh 4P tier is fun as hell! I get to be a raptor when I pop my raptors; and the 2P bonus means I get to pop them more often!
I was poking through AMR last night, and it appears I have top-3 BiS items across the board, after finally replacing my offhand last night with the hammer from H&F. That was unexpected.

Yeah... I did a similar thing and I seem to have a handful of BiS items already. Perhaps most surprising was that the "BiS" Warforged gloves I had were surpassed by the non-warforged, but socketed haste-mastery gloves I bonus rolled. I almost feel like I'm getting to the point where I have too much haste. It feels kind of weird being nearly GCD-capped.
Also, I'm super happy they reverted the changes to spending Death Runes. Beastlord, Thogar, and Kromog felt SO much better.
So I've never played a healer this far but I put a bunch of heirlooms on a paladin and ran dungeons and have found myself at level 42 really really fast. I'm using healbot but the only thing it seems to be doing for me is giving me a group palette where I can click someone's plate and heal them with Quick Flash(or whatever it's called). Initially people were getting really low on health before I figured out that I had to click on their in-game plate to do more than just flash heal them.
Is there something else I can be doing with heal bot? Is there a way to make it actually tag a toon so I can do more than just that one heal? Or is there a better add-on?
I'd like to level a Holy Paladin, but the fact that the only Intellect Plate Heirlooms you get are just shoulders really just makes my eye twitch in all the worst ways, having to wear the Intellect Mail, Leather, or Cloth.
I've never personally used Healbot, but I used to use Clique for my holy paladin. Not sure what it's like now, but it was an easy to set up way to bind your heals to mouse clicks (and modifiers). My raid frame addon has a similar functionality so I have been using that recently, but Clique is probably simpler and more lightweight.
You could create hover macros, but those are a tiny bit more complex.

You can set up Healbot to cast [X] spell on a given mouse button press. So, you can have a normal heal on LClick, a big heal on RClick, and a BoP or something on wheel button click. You should be able to assign spells to specific keybinds in the Healbot menu. It's been a while since I used healbot (DS farming through ~ToT LFR) so things may have changed, but that's the gist.

Ugh, got the 640 fist weapon off Kargath for my monk last night, but I have no pairing to it. Stuck using my junky 610 trials staff until I can roll a stupid offhand in heroics or go find a 620 or even a 6xx from a rare out in the world. I didn't see anything above 600 for sale on the AH.
Creeping closer to 630 for Foundry, but I've been kind of avoiding heroics, which are still not particularly fun. Then I need to get some (at least) 630 items for when I swap to mistweaver.

Jumped into LFR Iron Assembly to test out my fire mage today. I can definitely see how it's better for AoE encounters now, but I'm finding it a lot more hectic compared to arcane. I have a good idea of what I'm supposed to do; I'm just not used to what feels like a faster pace.
On the Iron Maidens fight, I noticed there was another mage out-DPSing me. At the end, I saw his DPS during the fight was 69k, while mine was about 30k. I definitely have work to do, although that guy's ilvl was 702 while I am at 674 with no tier pieces yet.

Weapons have been the biggest hurdle for me in this expansion. I finally got my first actual weapon to drop in a raid last week. I have been raiding every week since launch and it was the first one I have seen. Most of my characters just broke down and went the crafting route for weapons as getting upgrades via actually doing stuff myself has been next to impossible to date.
Work with some BS friends or guildies, or talk to someone in Trade. The Steelforged mace is worth getting, if you can find the right secondary stats. The upgrade kits aren't hard to put together if you have a reasonably good L3 Garrison.
Twin Ogron has a 1H; as do H&F and Iron Maidens; in LFR (Maidens is a fist weap).
Raid night tonight. We're probably going to kill all the bosses on Heroic except Blackhand.
I don't want to. I don't want to raid, don't want to play WoW, and honestly am considering inventing Internet issues so I don't have to show up tonight. WoW isn't fun anymore and neither is raiding, it's just three hours of the same damn shit three nights a week and I am so tired of it. Ten years in this game is long enough.
What I want to do is play Bloodborne. All the Bloodborne. More Bloodborne.

Take a break from it then. Burnout is a thing that happens, especially when a group gets stuck and aren't progressing any more.

Man, I never got that much done in WoW, but I still found the fact that it consumed so much of my time to be a good enough reason to quit. I played so little of the last two expansions during their release windows that I don't think it would be wrong to say that I took a break between WotLK and WoD. If you're not having fun, stop playing and unsubscribe! It can feel pretty good to ditch the game when that happens.

I played a lot up through WoTLK. Was class lead and raided 3-5 nights a week for 3 or 4 hours a night. I quit because it was causing marital problems after we had our first child.
Recently I came back and am taking a 'meh' stance on raiding and enjoy the game a lot more. I hop on, take care of my garrison. Maybe run an instance or two. Do some fun little achievements. Maybe go through some lower-level instances. I find myself having way more actual fun playing than I ever did when I was raiding hardcore.

On the flip side, I do not raid and still find vast entertainment. Just doing odd shit. Of course I guess its shit that if I had more than 5-10 hours a week to play at best I would be done very fast. But I do not.
Leveling chars up to around 40 and doing nothing but dungeons and arenas is a new thing I am doing. Its very entertaining.
Also recently I have had to put some serious effort into gold making. Trying to hit 30k in 4 days before my sub runs out in hopes it will get me a token.
Gave in and ran a bunch of heroics last night and filled out my sub 630 armor slots. Still need a proper offhand weapon, trinkets, and a ring, but I'm sitting at a solid 630, so I'm pretty happy and definitely think I'll be able to try out Foundry this weekend, which I'm pretty psyched about.
As I gear up I get more and more torn about whether maxing out leatherworking (or even having it) is going to be worth it. I could easily swap to herb/alch, reclaim a medium slot from the barn, and the only thing I'd really lose is the eventual ability to craft raid gear I'm finding anyway......very uncertain. If I was already at 600+, it'd be one thing, but i'm only at 140 LW, which means either a ton of back farming or waiting for daily cooldowns, all the while my burnished leather output is pretty laughable.

Our raiding guild is casual. We'll only two 2 hours of raiding at most twice a week and that's honestly enough. So we get few only a couple of bosses? That's fine, those that want to do more are welcome to join pugs and that. We're doing well.
We started blackrock tonight and managed to storm through gruul and hans & Frans. Are they both meant to be this easy on normal difficulty? We didn't really have much trouble at all.

both are relatively simple bosses mechanically, and mostly a gear check, especially Gruul. If you have a number of members who pug regularly they probably have decent gear and will help you trivialize encounters like that.

My guild pretty much follows the same idea with regards to raiding. 2 hours a night, 2 nights a week. Some people will join PuG raids to do the bosses we haven't been able to do yet, or to do the heroic versions, which helps those of us in the normal raid out a lot thanks to their gear.
We did BRF last night, which isn't really anything new at this point. We've been going there for the past few weeks. Monday night was the first time we killed a wing boss (Kromog); last night was the first time we cleared out that same wing in one night. We also learned that when you kill Kromog, the tunnel leading to the Slagworks no longer has those molten spikes popping out of the floor.
I got my first tier piece, which was nice. I also tested out my fire spec on a few bosses, and I don't think I did very well. I need to get a better feel for it; I know what I need to do, but executing it is another matter. I expect it to be very useful on Thogar with all his adds. We'll take him down on Monday, and then give Iron Maidens another shot. That leaves only them, Blast Furnace, and Blackhand for us on normal. We haven't even tried Blast Furnace yet.
It is very likely that I will get my 900 elemental runes next week. In fact, if I do all the wings of LFR next week, it'll be near-impossible not to, since I have less than 110 to go.

I have been raiding every week since launch and it was the first one I have seen. Most of my characters just broke down and went the crafting route for weapons as getting upgrades via actually doing stuff myself has been next to impossible to date.
Twin Ogron has a 1H; as do H&F and Iron Maidens; in LFR (Maidens is a fist weap).

Then go play Bloodborne. There's no point to burning yourself out on WoW. Come back to the game when you want to.

At least tailors can always make a bit of cash selling bags.
The harder the rain, honey, the sweeter the sun.
Wow is a game. Don't play it if you're not having fun. Go play Bloodborne.
