    Hope?

Maybe some pardons and release? Pushing forward with the trials outside of the military system?

Should clear out the few remaining folks.

    Also love young Obama fro.

    God that part was good.

I know the content of the SOTU is mostly meaningless, but still inspiring.

The shared bedrock values thing is more than likely not true.

You'd be surprised, actually. I may think many of my fellow townsfolk are silly geese, but I share many of their values when it comes to hard work and helping others.

You know what get's you to that point for politics?

Public funding and removal of private money from all elections and get rid of first past the post for the legislative branch.

It's absolutely depressing that the President of the United States needs to tell Congress how to conduct debate and discourse properly.

A majority of folk will say they like hard work, charity, freedom, democracy, etc.

Absolutely no agreement on what those terms mean.

Also "A Better Politics Unites Us" is grammatically irritating.

He's not wrong. Lowering unwanted pregnancy rates through better education and access to preventative birth control will lower the number we have, and that is a good thing.

And they are awful. Just ask any women who's had one about the emotional roller coaster it give them even if they know 100% it is the right thing to do.

But just lowering the number by simply preventing people access? Fuck that

Abortions are awful, that's why we need to support better sex education, easier/greater access to contraception, more effective anti-rape laws, dismantling of the rape culture, etc.

    Good Speech

Pleading again for people to act like adults, just trying to appeal to people's humanity.

  • MazzyxMazzyx Comedy Gold Registered User regular
    That was a decent speech.

I got some quibbles because details are important but it is an hour long public speech I don't expect details.

Fuck them if they can't take a joke

They want to interrupt him during the State of the Union, they deserve what he gave them

So can we get the Republican response on this White House stream, or do we have to go elsewhere?

I agree with all of this but every woman still needs to have the right to choose.
