That's gonna be on Fox on how arrogant he is.

Fuck them if they can't take a joke

They want to interrupt him during the State of the Union, they deserve what he gave them

    Yup.

I kind of wish Speech Man Obama was in charge most of his presidency, though.

I also can't help but feel a twinge of disgust at his support of the TPP.

I don't know about Republican, but the Tea Party is having the pig castrator respond.

So can we get the Republican response on this White House stream, or do we have to go elsewhere?

I'm pretty sure you can get the Republican response in any bar right about now.

Have to go to a "news" organization. White House is doing a Q&A.

When the GOP gives the appearance of giving two fucks to rub together about child care or single mothers, they can begin to talk about having the moral high ground to insist on denying the right to choose to women.

They don't have a pro-life culture, they have a pro-birth culture. Just birth the precious kids and then you deal with them for 18 years until they'll join the Army for a chance to break out of the poverty, and then we'll shit on Veteran's Affairs once (if) they get out

EDIT: And there's literally no reason not to promote sex ed or contraception. It goes to show it's not a religious concern, because if it truly was they'd accept sex ed in exchange for lower abortion rates. But control over women having sex is more important than the unborn lives they purport to agonize over.

You don't get much outside of basically work disability, some safety precautions, 40 hours as the hourly work week but if you are salaried it means nothing and so on.

We have guarantees but they are weaker than most countries.

Sure, just like the GOP can be characterized as only caring about life as long as it's in the womb. Once it's out of there, who gives a fuck? Certainly don't put any taxpayer dollars towards caring for it.

    No

Abortions are awful, that's why we need to support better sex education, easier/greater access to contraception, more effective anti-rape laws, dismantling of the rape culture, etc.

Abortions are a medical procedure and are no more awful than open heart surgery, gastric bypasses, or operations following a stabbing or shooting. We need (1) better sex-education, (2) access to contraception, and (3) dismantling of rape culture because (1) people deserve to know facts, (2) be able to make meaningful choices regarding their reproductive lives, and (3) women should be able to live in a society that affords them as many rights as it does men.

Gonna catch up with the thread later but basic impressions were that was the most conciliatory fuck you speech ever.

The idea that your vote is a moral statement about you or who you vote for is some backwards ass libertarian nonsense. Your vote is about society. Vote to protect the vulnerable.

Prettymuch man. If you want to lower the abortion rate, you need to make a good-faith effort to subsidize relief of the conditions that drive women to have abortions.

You think getting an abortion isn't the last-case scenario for a large portion of people?
