The fact they might not be ready in time for East has been the only thing keeping me from trying to find someone on that side of the border to combine orders with/willing to take delivery for me.
I really don't want to pay another $40 in shipping to have it sent up here to Canada.
I put in an order with a few extras. Assuming they arrive in time for East I'll have the extras available first-come, first-served for you international folks @ $6.50/ea (that's my cost after tax+shipping.. actually slightly less). Just drop me a PM if you're interested and I'll reply back when they arrive. Limiting it to 1 per person and asking that only international folks take advantage of the offer (their $40 int'l shipping is certainly a killer).
@SutibunRi Don't worry about the Lapel pin. I just ordered one for you. If they get here before PAX I will meet up with you and hand it over to you. If not I will try to ship it up to you in Canada as long as the shipping is not that high :surprised:
Also do not worry about any monies. Consider it a THANK YOU for all you did getting that awesome coin done.
EDIT:
Was going to post this last night but I was waiting on a reply from Phoenix Coins to see if they could add another one to my previous order for 3. Everythings all set and my order is now for 4 .. Now lets hope they get them out before PAX.
EDIT 2:
Just got word from Eric over at Phoenix Challenge Coins and he said they are making the pins now and we should hopefully have them before PAX.

Yeah Eric is great. He responds fast and apparently he never sleeps as he responds even late at night.
He refunded me my shipping when I added another pin to my already processed order. He is adding it to my first order. Even the refund happened fast. This guy is on the ball.
When I get them I'll PM you and figure out a when and where at PAX to meet. I'll be in my TF2 Engineer Cosplay all 3 days so I'll be easy to spot ....... amongst the other TF2 Engineers .. haha.
I'd love to see decent photos of the pins 'in the wild' as it were. I designed the original crest and helped spruce up the version for the pin, but with a little one to care for, we missed last Prime, so I haven't gotten to see it in all it's lanyard-worn glory.
The first run of 50 pins is still in production and Eric does not have an estimated shipping time, but should know in the next few days.

Eric sent me an update.
The first 50 pins are in production and he expects to ship them either next week, or the week after. So while it may be close, people in the first order should get them in time for East. Fingers crossed.

Same here, in processing still. Doubtful I guess that I will be wearing one this year

I got this E-mail from Eric this morning:
Matt,
We’re anticipating receiving the pins in the next 48 hrs. weather permitting and hoping the snow storms in the NE don’t impact our receiving them. After we receive them they will be turned around asap and on the way.
Sincerely,
Eric Richards
So it looks like if you live in the Boston area you might get them over the weekend, but it does not look good for everyone else.
Even though Eric never gave us a guarantee these would be available for East, I think the time we allotted to simply create more pins of an existing design should have been sufficient.
I received the sample coins from the community member that offered their services in the challenge coin thread and I am excited to try them out for the Prime coin. Hopefully their production time is much quicker.

While 4 or so weeks may sound like sufficient time, we do not know the full details of his business.
We do not know how many orders he had to produce before ours. It would be unfair for his other clients if we "skipped the line".
We also do not know all the details that go into making a product like this. Sourcing materials like the metals and paints. Time it takes to manufacture just the metal pin. To paint the pins. to package and ship the pins.
I think we should be thankful he allowed us to reorder them in the first place. Even if we do not get it in time for PAX.
@miker525 I take it this screws our plans to meet up. What do you want to do about our order? Sell it to me next year? ship it afterwards, whenever it happens to arrive?

Don't get me wrong, I fully understand it takes time to produce the product, and if you look back at my previous post when we started, I let everyone know that the manufacturer was shut down for two weeks in February. I don't fault Pheonix Challenge Coins at all. They have delivered what they promised, but that doesn't mean we can't shop around and see if another company can fit our needs better.
I forgot about this. I kept having problems at checkout (it just endlessly reloaded the page asking for my address), back-burnered it out of frustration, and eventually forgot. Maybe I'll try again hen i get home tonight.

I will leave that up to you @ilta . If you want me to hold it until next year I can do that, or if you'd rather me ship it to you whenever I get them I can do that too. Sorry it didn't quite work out like we'd hoped but either way I'll make sure you get yours!
Let's have you ship them when they arrive @miker525 -- pop me an email at isaiaht@gmail.com after the con so we can set it up. Or find me at the Westin tonight -- I'll probably be the guy with WAY TOO MANY x wings.
On the train now! Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Send me your address in a PM and I will ship it to you at no cost. I'll pay for the shipping so please don't worry about it (I will refuse any forms of payment  ). I just want to make sure you get it.
@Sepioth You really don't have to do that. I mean, it's awesome and I'd love to take you up on it, but check how much shipping would be, and see if it's in any way a sane price before committing to sending it. I'd rather you not feel obligated if the shipping fee is stupid high for any reason.
@SutibunRi I know you live in Canada. I just sent something to Toronto, Ontario and it cost me about $5 .. So I can not imagine the pin costing any more than that. But I will let you know whenever we get those pins.
So my pins finally have shipped. I should have them in a few days. @SutibunRi please PM your mailing info so I can send you your pin. I really want to make sure you get it and I am not worried about shipping costs. I know they will not go over $5. I've already found $3 in the seat cushions (at a friends house .. haha ) to help pay for the cost. I'm just kidding about taking my friends money .. but it's still a small amount that I have no issues with spending in get you your pin.
Got my pins today. They are awesome, larger than expected.

Great to see people getting their pins. I talked with Eric and he let me know the reason the pins didn't get sent out in time for East was that when he got them they were missing the posts. Obviously that would not have worked and he had to send them back to get fixed.
Everyone's pins should be delivered or be there very soon, except for those people that combined shipping with the East coin. He is waiting for those to come in before he ships them out.

Got mine yesterday. Had no idea they'd be that big but they're gorgeous.
Thank you @Sepioth for sending me a pin!
These things look great.
I promise in the future to stop arguing when someone wants to do something nice for me. Especially since I always cave in the end.
And thanks to @SkeleVader for getting these reprinted.

Glad it got to you in good shape and fairly fast as well.
As far as the "arguing" goes .. you are just like me ... well except for the giving in part :P ... I hate having people do nice things for me even though I am always doing them for others.
It was a pleasure to buy this and send it to you as you have done a lot for the community here with the awesome coins. It was the least I could do.
Well enjoy your pin and maybe we can meet up at PAX East '16 .. in 374 more days
