So during one part of the game the person talking says Goku when they were supposed to say Gohan. Now I'm fighting Captain Ginyu in a parallel quest and the text window has Goku's face and the text is being spoken in Captain Ginyu's voice.
Why is this a thing?

Also the Goku face is because that's Ginyu in Goku's body.

I wonder if that's something they'll bother fixing. Like, they could probably edit the sound clips using samples from other audio tracks so that the names are correct (as long as they can find good samples to do that with). I'm sure they won't re-record anything, but leaving those sort of errors in is just kind of sloppy. And if you're charging $25 for a season pass I'm assuming the third party working on the English version is still going to be involved.

It is really weird to me. It doesn't hurt the game or anything for me but I kind of feel like paying the money I did that there wouldn't be these kinds of errors. Either way I'm still going to play it and laugh about this sort of thing because oh well.
The one thing Dragon Ball has done is make me really want to watch Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. There are so many versions of Z though that I have no idea what to buy. I must binge.

If you're a purist who wants it subbed, Dragon Box.
If you want it dubbed (accurately), Dragon Ball Z Kai.

They have already been patching things in the game, but any audio-work tends to be a huge ordeal.
Probably still going to pick up Helldivers next week. You can play solo, but it may be more challenging. Maybe I can get my co-worker to buy it too. It looks too cool to pass up.

Since it was just sitting there waiting in my free downloads, I gave Injustice a try. It's...it's kind of awful, which is a shame, because I liked NetherRealms's earlier game, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. The character designs are early 80's Image comics bad; while the writing for the main campaign wishes it was as good as early 80's Image comics. The fighting seems loose and floaty to me, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm by no means an expert at fighting games. So far, the game's sole redeeming quality is that they cast Bruce Willis as Lex Luthor.
As the namekians and Frieza's race have some options that make them look similar to other DBZ-freaks, a shinjin-option would fit well into the current customisation-system. It could easily cover various demons, gods, herans and other space-elves.

That's a bit difficult to achieve, isn't it? I mean, seeing as Image Comics was founded a decade later.

Huh, that's interesting about Injustice... I assumed it was basically a PG-13 version of their Mortal Kombat game that came out a few years ago. I played MK9 for the story mode alone and really liked it... I figured that same structure with a DC skin on it would be just as enjoyable. It's next on my list of PS+ games to try out, so I'll check it out soon.

I played through it when it first went up on plus. The story is pretty shit (even for a fighting game), but it did seem mechanically interesting. I'm not particularly adept at the NetherRealms style combat (my brain is hard-wired to think of all fighting games in terms of Street Fighter at this point), and I didn't really put in the time to get good, but I can see where it might get fun if I bothered to learn the system.
But I'm not going to devote to a fighting game that no one on my friends list is playing, so...
If someone wants to set up a scrub lobby some night (did it do lobbies?), I'd join in.
The story in Injustice wasn't awful. As far as fighting game and super hero stories go, it was ok. Super dark at the beginning with the event that causes SupermanB to go full jerk mode.

The story is Gotham Fish Mooney bad, and started getting the same treatment; i.e., skipped. It's disappointing because it's something I want to like, but just can't.
It was kind of a predictable and cliche story they've done a few times now. "Superman gets a grand total of one kill under his belt. Goes completely fucknut. Shenanigans ensure."
"The sausage of Green Earth explodes with flavor like the cannon of culinary delight."
Hey everyone, March just left a note on my doorstep written entirely in cut-out letters from magazines. It's addressed to my wallet and it reads, "I'm coming for you."
Speaking of fighting games, I was interested in Under Night In Birth as it was reportedly on sale 40% for PS Plus members. However, I'm not seeing that sale price anywhere on the PSN store. What gives?
I don't agree with the idea that Frieza's race should have dramatic battle-transformations. I get why Frieza and Cooler usually do in games, but their forms are all irregular and personalised, because they're fully designed main antagonists, not customised generics, and even in their cases, it's so weird when they get knocked out of it in games.
It actually doesn't bother me so much that the whole annoying process they have to through undisturbed is sped up to a few seconds in games, though.
But I also think it would be redundant, because the customisation itself already provides approximations of several of their forms. Irregular, personalised approximations. That can be changed occasionally, out of combat, and last forever. Like it should be.

Have people been upset by this? Honestly I just figured that the character would be considered as basically fully transformed. What I want to know is if male Buu characters can be skinny and whether there is a super namek ability.
Any idea when more character slots unlock?

From what I can find out, you unlock the slots when you beat the story. And as for skinny male majin, no.

Depends where you are. There's levels for each of the main sagas from the anime, and one for a couple of the movies. They're pretty much in order of the actual anime.

There are giant-bosses, but none of those are namekian, and they aren't playable anyhow. All male majin are fat as per Dragon Ball Online, where the skinny look is a temporary transformation.
In this game, they can be made pretty resilient. I like extremes, and I like the look, so I will make one. Disregarding that I will inevitably make one of each for little reason.
