I was all excited that Ender of Fire is on sale for $6 and does 3 player local coop, but then I found a review and apparently the reason it's on sale is because it's poop.

So, pretty extensive this week! Big sales, quite a few releases, and some big pre-orders. Well...one.
PS4 gets N++ as part of the Play promotion, Abyss Odyssey: Extended Dream Edition and Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment. The Swindle releases for all three, while the PS3 and Vita see Lost Dimension. And those of you who've been eagerly awaiting the next episode of Life is Strange finally get Episode 4 today.
As vagrant_winds said, if you pre-order Sword Art Online: Lost Song for PS4, you get Re: Hollow Fragment for free, which apparently is supposed to have a new translation, considering the original was rather dire. And Fallout 4 is finally (or already?) up for pre-order as well if you want to have a countdown timer on your PS4 for like three months. (Or is that just when it pre-loads? I forget that, last thing I pre-ordered was like last year's Play lineup)
Anyway, have at it! Make sure you check those sales since there's quite a few good things in there!
Yeah. Screens of the PS4 version of Hollow Fragment shows that it has an actual translation this time. They also tweaked Sword Skills, giving them a lower cost to use but adding in skill cooldowns so you can't spam them.
The Swindle. Really fun, kind of frustrating. Pretty much what I've heard about games like this, i.e. Spelunky
Came across a bug wherw I started being teleported around the level when I'm trying to hack or activate stuff. Let me tell you, when you're on a dying streak, but you're doing well this run and you've cleaned a place out, and you're at your escape Pod and press the Leave button, only to be teleported back into the building...that's a special feeling.
Anyone able to confirm if Breath of Fire 4 works on PS TV? I'm looking to nab that and play it with a PS4 controller.
Also how are Dino Crisis 1 and 2? Is the leap like Resident Evil 1>2, or is the first DC the best?
I'm not sure if Dino crisis 1 and 2 work or not, but I want to mention that neither game ever worked terribly well. Not even on the actual playstation. They both had lots of glitches that would lock the game up. In my experience, those glitches are usually preserved (ie: wild arms 1).
In an interesting move, if you preorder the PS4 version of SAO: Lost Song ($60) on the PSN right now, you get the PS4 re-release of SAO RE: Hollow Fragment ($20) for free right now.
I noticed that. I'm not big on pre-ordering, but this could be an exception.
Lost Song has been out in Japan and Asia for a while. The Asian version has decent english, supposedly. So you can probably find some reviews/impressions of it to see if it's your thing.
Looks like Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris and Limbo for PS4 PS+ in August. I think GoW: Ascension and Stealth INC 2 for PS3 and Sound Shapes/ Castlestorm for Vita.
Finally a decent month! I haven't played Limbo in a long time, and I've been contemplating Lara Croft on PS4. Played it on XBone and loved it.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

If that's true, that's great. Temple of Osiris is fucking great.
Gosh darn it, the Summer Sale is on and GTAV still hasn't been featured in any PSN sales yet. I really want to replay the campaign, and buy a second luxury appartment and more cars in GTA Online, but I'll be damned if I pay full price a second time. No way José!

Be prepared to wait, since the re-release is selling like crazy.
Highlights include Bloodborne, Hohokum, Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- (which only came out a month ago for us), MKX, Project Cars, Dying Light, Alien Isolation, Metro, Evolve, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition (as well as the DLC that came out a couple months ago), the usual Telltale stuff and a bunch of other games.
Double post but it looks like Sony's going to let us vote on one of the PS+ games soon. I'm not sure if it's up in all territories but a "Vote to Play" promotional video has popped up on the PS4's What's New section. The games shown in the video are Grow Home, Armello and Zombie Vikings.
Only had chance to play five minutes of Kings Quest last night but I loved what I saw. The art style is gorgeous, and what I played seems to be a nice update to the old Sierra style.
Wait, Grow Home is coming to PS4? Awesome! I thought it was pc only.
I think Sony has predator drones armed with money dispensers to strategically strike anybody with a good game to sway them to releasing it also on ps4. And I'm OK with that
September, October, and November are packed already... August would've been perfect. I mean Yay! and all that, but still...
Wasteland 2's another October game that was just announced.
Personally, I'm really glad they're not coming this month. MGSV hits on September 1st and I don't want to have any half-finished games when I slide that disc into my PS4. Most of my August is going to be spent playing fairly short games, just to make sure (except for possibly Volume, but I have to play that because it's a perfect MGSV entrée).
Besides, August is hardly barren. Zombi (aka ZombiU) just popped up out of nowhere a day or two ago and it's coming out this month. Submerged seemed to come out of nowhere too and looks pretty interesting.
I am deeply afraid if they're going to start initiating voting.
You know people will always vote for the worst thing. Anything with guns or zombies will always take the top vote.
I much prefer letting Sony decide what to give me. It's how we end up with surprise hits like Rocket League.
The very reason that there's like 6 Call of Duty games in the top 10 vote slots for backwards compatibility on Xbone, and yet amazing stuff like Lost Odyssey, Dragon's Dogma, and Nier only have the slightest fraction of votes.
I am deeply afraid if they're going to start initiating voting.

That's more because the Xbone has a tiny Japanese game fanbase though, which is why FF Type-0 sold like shit on it and most Japanese publishers are skipping it entirely.
Steam flash sale polls are a better example of how it can go wrong but I dunno, I think it could be handled well, it just depends on how well Sony pick out a bunch of games for it. Really great games, like Rocket League, shouldn't be voted on at all. More middling games like Ether One (which was a buggy disaster at launch), on the other hand, could be fair game. That said, if Grow Home, Armello and Zombie Vikings are really September's vote then they've already fucked up their first attempt.

Hopefully Sony will still be picking something, it sounds like we only get to vote for 1 of the 2 monthly games in the PS4 IGC (unless my friday brain isn't working correctly).

Well those are thoroughly underwhelming. Anything I'm vaguely interested in I already have because of PS+.

The first basic hack unlock also lets you hack mines. Gotta get really close to them though.
But I wouldn't be able to handle that art style for any longer than that trailer I just watched
I've been using this site to get info about PS TV compatibility, and it seems to indicate that Breath of Fire 4 works.

Hot damn I love that game. That is the only game related thread I think I've ever created in all my years on this forum.
Everyone should play Grow Home.

It came out of nowhere on PC too, so it's fitting the same thing happened on consoles.
