This is the thing I was talking about. The guy that does this works at Gearbox as a creative something-or-other, and was the voice of Scooter in Borderlands. He also used to have a podcast with Kris Straub, and this Movies with Mikey was one of the side projects.
Oh, that Mikey! Yeah, I liked his junk with Straub. Though, really, I always like Kris Straub. The Broodhollow material makes me feel like that guy needs a hug sometimes.
I went to the automotive place for my stuff, which is somewhat closer than body and paint. They were pretty reasonable, like 200 bucks for a rear mirror, 880 for timing belt + tensioner assembly, and they talked me out of doing alignment so they're not money mongers. The only reason I mention them was because I called around for timing belt quotes and these guys gave me the cheapest offer, much cheaper than the dealers. If the body and paint is run like automotive they're legit, but at that distance you have to think about what you're going to do all day or transportation - automotive offers anyway.
I found it by a combo of yelp and google reviews so if you do the same you'll probably get a similar caliber shop.
Disclaimer I am seriously not paid or recompensed at all for this stuff, which is a lie as I am the kingpin of all unsolicited sales ads in minneapolis
Marty: The future, it's where you're going? Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.
this ... looks incredibly easy. I could probably definitely put it in all the fightsticks until I run out of money. For now, I will get an rj45 to usb cable from focusattack, and if that doesn't work I will be EXTREMELY UPSET.

Oh, yeah, I think that's the one. I kept mixing up with the brook converter, which is banned in some tournaments.

Wait, is Minnesota a caucus state instead of primaries?
Yup! I want to go stand in a group and yell.
How does it work? Can anyone go? What happens there?
Apparently they have coffee. BYOBG

You have to "generally agree with the party's ideals"
Then you usually go stand in a middle school for a while while some arcane political motions are passed.
Then you group up for your candidate. Then whoever hasn't decided gets to be convinced by the people who have.
What food can you bring
Is there space for board games

By the way! We'll be playing Street Fighter V in Dreamers Vault in Minneapolis on Sunday at 2PM. We can make room for other games too (since I'm not sure how many PS4s will show up, and I know @Perrsun is still looking to wreck people in Killer Instinct.)
So did you know about the Ax-Man surplus store in Minneapolis? You can buy nunchucks there.
I bought a wood carving iron, some solder+flux, some 22AWG stranded wire, a soldering stand, and a 25c circuit board, and I've been living the life of riley here
babby's first solder:
I learned that if you bead up too high you can draw down; it's like playing with mercury, quite fun.
I've also got the RJ45 to USB cable and can deliver it tomorrow. Just got new blades for the utility knife that will hopefully cut through that awful twist tie job I did.
BTW, if there's anything wrong with that tournament board, say the word and I'll gut it with the brook pcb and as many sanwa / seimitsu parts as you want

I practically had to restrain you for Sebastian's safety. I will tell you the Very Moment it flakes out on him.
Heh, I heard in the politics thread that Minnesota would overwhelmingly vote for candidates based on how sorry it felt for them. You're all right, Minnesota

Also, thank you to @Perrsun and @Paladin for coming out to play vidja games at our little meetup!

I feel like you're just recreating the open gaming event from last weekend.
... Can I bring Street Fighter?
It would be the perfect campaigning tool!
"Vote for Bernie*! We have Street Fighter :winky: "
*or Hillary/Cruz/Trump/whoever you are siding with

That would be one way to improve youth participation.

Pretty sure I'm gonna go, since tickets are only like $11.
And in unrelated news, this weekend Hells Kitchen is serving frog legs and kangaroo steaks in honor of leap year. THAT IS GOOD MARKETING.
Huh. I didn't realize there was a tragic love song about splash woman.
Where did you hear about the concert in Burnsville?
Coheed and Cambria is also in town this weekend, but I didn't get tickets for that. I saw them last year when they were here and it was good.

I hadn't heard of that place, but it seems neat.
I'll likely be like 2 hours late for tomorrow's SF White Belts but I still hope to be there.
