You will likely either end up with a lot of Behemoth spares, or have to do some trading to make up complete sets since they are random it sounds like. just fyi.

Yeah, I'd be careful promising people full sets of the new Behemoth pins -- you never know what the chonku is going to give you and you might not find enough people to trade with to make up dozens of full sets.

    Digital Lanyard, I love trades - https://www.pinnypals.com/pals/dmosinee
http://pinmash.info - Two pins enter, one pins leaves... then the other pin leaves with a lower Elo rating

If I recall at Prime last year, the latest series was not random - they had a specific machine for each new pin. The Series 1 and Series 2 pin machines though were random

East last year was random. I needed 14 pins total so I bought 14, put away the ones I was keeping, and then traded the rest with the crowd around the machines. Only took about 10 minutes to get all the pins I needed.

    Pins! Pins everywhere!

Now that you mention it yeah, I remember East '14 was random. I wonder if they changed it for Prime since there was only 2 new pins or what

I've never had trouble quickly and easily trading away dupes with other chonkers at the machines, so which it is possible there can be an issue, I'm confident it won't be a big deal in the end. Worst case I have the whole weekend and the trading event line to finish off any incomplete sets.

They had separate machines for each set and they even had a guy standing next to the machines specifically holding Honey Hug and Cupcake. I was able to flat out buy those instead of using the machines.

Lack of random means lack of trading, lack of interactions. Sad Pedro face.

    I am in!
    - PAX East 2015 Set - make it double
    - Team Fortress 2 Set

Now I need to find a way to get the Poly, Trek Timelines, and Moonrise Nemony pins. I am still new to this and haven't used a forum for 10 years.

  • sirmrejsirmrej Seattle areaRegistered User regular
There is no tax for PAX purchases, so the $30 core will be $30. However, if you use PayPal, there will be fees. So keep that in mind. Google Wallet might be diff.

As for Behemoth- at Prime they did have separate machines, but the pins inside WERE NOT the right ones. I wanted a S1 pin, and kept getting S2 pins. Even though the machine was marked S1. Sooo yea. The guy was AWESOME tho, and helped me once I showed him that the machine was labeled wrong. He took the S2 ones back from me, and let me try again to get an S1. That cycle happened a few times before I finally got an S1. :)

If money is sent via PayPal to a friend (rather than as a purchase), there is not a fee. At least, to date I have not been charged one.

  • silrnsilrn Fairfax, VARegistered User regular
Keep in mind, per the original post, Frostbyte is *ONLY* accepting Google Wallet. The reason has less to do with fees and more to do with the speed of funds becoming available.

And also having your account locked because Paypal is detective moneybags.

If I recall correctly, the We Love Fine charged tax in Seattle last prime

  • HappendyHappendy Seattle, WARegistered User regular
Yeah. We love fine does in fact charge sales tax. That's why for my proxy I mistakenly charged taxes on all purchases and partial returns are a pain so oops.

  • FrostbyteFrostbyte Registered User regular

crap, that's going to add up :( If you've already paid, no worries. But I'm going to send out amended totals to those who haven't paid yet.

hey @Frostbyte hit up the whatsapp chat when you head to the behemoth machine to start your mad farm. I am sure myself and other pals need multiple sets as well and the more of us that are there with large sets to get the better (for tradsies)

Worst comes to worst I'm sure some of us will have extras of some and just swap to get complete sets.

One week left! I have been contacted by 16 people so far, but there are a ton who expressed interest in the thread, but have not yet sent me a PM with an official order:

    @dchoy, @zeale, @callmegar, @Agentcooper, @Senno, @Luthien, @OpSteel, @AsianCandie, @fishfishmonkeyhat

I'm assuming that some of you may be in groups, and that's why you didn't PM me after the info was posted. But if you are not, and want in on this, the clock is ticking :)

    *** IMPORTANT PROXY NOTE ***

So, apparently Harmonix released a tweet saying that their pin will be for sale at their booth. If people who have already ordered and paid want to add that to their existing order, just send another $15(1)/$30(2). Your name is attached to the Money Send, so I will know which orders to add them too as they roll in.

    The Harmonix Tweet, for reference.

@Harmonix i have to ask. what does your paxeast pin look like? and how do you obtain one!

    Harmonix @Harmonix
@calle888 It's a secret! You'll be able to buy them at our PAX East booth!

I'm not really sure where to post this, but maybe this is the best place since it's East-related? Here's my situation:

I'm Enforcing every morning next weekend, so I won't have any time to grab one of the LE pins before they sell out. I was wondering if anyone here would be kind enough to buy an extra one and then we could meet up and I'd pay you for it. Please let me know!

(And sorry if this is clogging your thread, Frostbyte. You're doing awesome work.)

Any chance for a confirmation list? Also, let me know if you want me to toss in an extra $10-$20 to help cover any excess cost for the We Love Fine sales tax stuff.
