Now when I went to Game Stop the other day to see if they had Shulk in the guy at the counter was trying to sell someone on Far cry 4 over Dragon Age Inquisition
But did say the later is what won GoTY

I feel like the response was "didn't live up to the expectations from bastion" but bastion was fucking incredible so

Interestingly, Bravely Default got the fourth-highest rank-1 votes of any game

Transistor has a really intriguing story and atmosphere, but I've never been big on that style of gameplay.

I was expecting a more interesting setting and story with a much more direct presentation actually.

Like I didn't read any of the backstory you unlock by using the functions, because that is just not how I like story to be presented in a game.

Bravely Default was half an amazing game and half a gigantic disappointment.

I never finished it. I can't wait for the sequel.

Transistor or Bravely Default were my #1 probably. Reaper of Souls would be up there too with all the time I sank into it

I have never even heard of transistor but I guess I am just out of the loop. I still think smash should be the 3DS and WiiU together. That puts them much higher on the list. Still pleased with Dark Souls 2 ranking and think it bodes pretty well for Bloodborne.

Expansions weren't on the list or I would've had that and WoD very high in my rankings.

That was my bad, nearly everyone said that and I meant to combine them before passing the list on.

Also if your game of choice wasn't on the list it d either:

A port/re-release from a previous year
Didn't actually come out last year and featured on a previous poll
Or
No one nominated it and it wasn't on any of the initial lists I used.

I think the list is great, but even so (and having played and enjoyed the heck out of it, too) I am surprised South Park is so high on the list.

Man thats surprising, i really didn't like Transistor.

But yeah, all the games I played this year that I loved were from previous years, aside from South Park and You Sir Are Being Hunted. Oh and Dark Souls. Man i played a ton of games this year, unexpected.

ah but the core of destiny was so good and if you played through the raid then you got to see it for what it really was and there are so many variations on the shooting mechanics and it's the only game where there are gun variations that make a difference and the legendary guns change how you play the game and you can replay missions infinitely in groups so when you get to the high level areas they become more engaging and you really haven't experienced the game until you hit 20 and then do all of your upgrades so maybe you just don't appreciate the depth as much as hardcore players do

No it doesn't. Someone certainly didn't just copy and paste the wording from last year and replace the results with those of this year.

listen i wouldn't have put it on the list but as long as it's a nominee it deserves to win everything!!!!!!!!!

Don't think Inquisition would have won if it had come out earlier in the year.

Games got a lot of weaknesses and i think the shine will fade pretty fast.

I needed anime to post.

Yeah I'm basically moving inquisition down like ten spots in my mind.
