Fatebringer and Praedyth's Timepiece can also only be found on hard mode. And Aspect of Glass.
+ Praetorian Foil - Fusion Rifle, the only weapon I've never gotten in VoG.
Good to know. Thanks!

I tried Necrochasm in Crucible, according to the PvP chart its the fastest killing weapon that currently exists.
Just as I suspected its a real bad weapon for PvP, it might be the theoretically fastest weapon to kill with, but good luck hitting with every bullet from this bullet hose.
Gotta wait for a patch before this weapon is even of slight use... No, not the next patch, that one will make Necrochasm even worse.
Bungie, I do not understand your way of balancing, but hopefully you'll make the rarest weapon actually worth using at some point?
The changes to fusion guns and hand cannons and pulse rifles make sense. I don't know why they are nerfing AR accuracy and damage both. Is that really correct?

Auto Rifle is optimal at close to medium range
Damage, Stability, and Range are tuned such that players desire Stability for reliable close quarters damage, or Range for better accuracy at a distance
Changes:
Reduce base damage of Auto Rifles by 2.5% (averaged across Rate of Fire stats, higher RoF took less of a reduction than low RoF)
Reduce effective range values so that damage falloff and accuracy are a stronger factor in combat decisions
Range reduction is less severe in the higher stat values, so now your range stat is more critical to long distance engagements
I think the mid to high impact Auto Rifles can manage these changes fine, but all the low impact Auto Rifles will just be even worse than they already are, Necrochasm is one of these.

Must not have you on my list...Bummer. Good luck in there!

I have a crota nm checkpoint from a raid I had to leave for dinner. Angrypuppyesquire and voranth...did you guys succeed in killing crota or do you still need him too?
Shotguns doing 2x the damage is great, except theres still zero reason to ever use one post 20 with how bungie designs content. You abuse AI using distance, you dont actually fight monsters in this game. The game actively punishes you for using a shotgun by throwing tons of melee swarms so you dont have enough ammo, or you cant do enough damage and then have an extended reload time for single, beefier targets. Beyond that, even when you have a remote control primary, it still severly limits your max ammo to the point where you are constantly out of primary.
I love my remote control, and I would love an actual reason to use it...

I agree, but I'd like to try it out. With 2x Damage it may be very situationally viable. Specifically, the Abyss seems like a good spot for Invective to finally shine and might replace what I normally use there, Icebreaker (due to regen & explody). Maybe invective can fire backwards on swarms as they catch up to you as well as regenerate ammo when you're on the move. Depends a bit on clip capacity vs damage. A shotgun might also be much more useful holding plates on the bridge --in theory--
I mean, the Nightfall is once a week. The vast majority of my time playing is spent on stuff that doesn't have kick to orbit or lightswitch. Granted, that's stuff that is, predominantly, just getting XP for the stuff I want to use to do the Nightfalls in hopes of better gear; but still. I'd be happy to use shotguns when I'm doing events or bounties. I've mostly ignored them because they just don't compete with fusion rifles in closer range. 2x the damage? Yes please. I love melee'ing on my Titan all the livelong day. I'd love a useful shotty to do that with.
Sure, I probably wouldn't be trying to shoot the Archon Priest in the face, but it'd make other things I'm doing that much faster.
On that note, I wanna try the raids, sometime, someday! @Shadowfire and @Schlagholzer talking about all of their elemental primaries while doing the Nightfall earlier made me want any primary with an element, any at all.
Maybe we can get a group together and raid this week. Does anyone still need to do crota? Maybe tomorrow night around 7 est. I know, tomorrow is Monday.
I need to get into some kind of routine to do the raids every week.
So on Saturday, I'm positive I got killed a bunch of times by a lvl 14 player wielding a mythoclast. This is where I wish Destiny had Halo's granularity with regards to multiplayer information and details, let alone the replay function. When I checked his equipment after the match it said he's using the Khvostov, but I'm certain I was being hit with a mythoclast in the game, and I'm sure it wasn't a different player.
Also it weirdly had the light level icon by his level, showing '14', which again seemed odd. Basically I'm either losing my mind, or there's some kind of weird exploit going round.

Weird. Haven't ever gotten killed by a Khovstov so I don't know what it looks like, but if you look in the top right corner of the death screen when you die it'll tell you what weapon they killed you with.

Yup, and it said Mythoclast. I do sometimes get some lag up there, where it'll continue to display the previous weapon that killed me, until it refreshes while I wait to respawn, but after this guy killed me, Mythoclast.
On CE I've found swordbearer way easier if no one uses rockets and you have sniper files with AP. Allows for stun lock and let's you smoke him if he isn't far left or right.

Three hours of HM Crota with plenty of flawless runs that ended due to bugs.
Sigh....
Sorry to hear this guys.
On another note, And this is toward anybody, Anyone is running attempts at some last might raid tonight? I'd love to run HM Crota tonight if possible but I'd settle for Normal Crota as well.
So if Any Raid need another, please let me know. I should be available at around 9h00pm EST on PS4.

So I still need one more Weekly run on 360 if anyone's free.
I also need someones to help drag my Hunter's ass through Crucible. Need 150 marks for a New Monarcy helm, so I need to cap out this week and do some more next week. Rep isn't a problem, but getting the marks is.

Supposedly if you can keep your whole team from aiming down their sites at him, he'll come out from cover. Just like if you go snipe some regular enemies, they tend to stay behind cover until you stop aiming at them. I've yet to test this, though.

Scope thing might be a good trick we should try out. Our main pain point is that people don't kill thralls to the left or right, as he'll run way over there. Also, primaries seem to make him run to the sides more than snipers/rockets. We get around him hiding in the middle cover by all using LDR's which just shoot through everything.

Makes sense. Back in Halo, the Elites would "screen watch" you even if you were hidden/undetected and jump out of the way of a sniper shot.
I've noticed that the Knights/boomers share a lot of the same Brute animations as well.
Any regular PS3 groups or folks out there? I'm on usually between 7-10 PST. I'm looking to start raiding and doing nightfalls and other team based stuff now that I have more time.

I haven't played any Destiny all week, so I'd be interested in some Nightfallin'.
If you get on, send me a message. I still need to do the nightfall with my hunter.

Because they're not level 20
