So while I taught overseas in Japan I met a girl there doing the same thing, we hit it off and dated for the two years I was there. At the end of my two years I moved back to the States and she moved back to Quebec, we weren't sure what was going to become of us. A month later both of us realized we missed each other quite a lot, weren't really interested in other people, and decided we would try to make it work.
So, I'm enrolled in a French class which will start in a couple weeks, applied to a University up in her area to get a masters and a teaching credential for teaching English as a second language in Quebec, and figuring out how I'm going to move up there in the future.
So, I'm optimistic. Hopefully we can make it work. But man there are a lot of variables and moving parts so it's a pinch stressful at times.
But hey, I love her. And if I have to learn another language and brave a frozen wasteland to be with her, so be it.
Let's go out for Canadian beer and poutine sometime.

I am completely at a loss re: my last relationship and am just confused and hurt and angry when I think about it or remember us now which sucks really bad
I match with people on tinder and okcupid and then either don't reply, stop replying, tell them thank you but I'm not interested, or insist on giving them my life story before I chat with them
I basically have 0 closure with Nida and am left in a shitty limbo where I feel the physical and mental and emotional needs but am too bitter/unwilling to trust new people
I've started a couple possible friendships and have chickened out of a couple sexually charged things
Just trying to put my mind on school and fighting games and using mind altering substances to try and figure it out all out
but man it'd be nice to have someone hold me while I cried and told them everything I've got going on because shit is rough in the Kelly household atm
^an unhappy spoiler but for the love of god don't let it make any of you stop having fun or enjoying and posting about your love
Just needed to get it out and it's the appropriate venue
There was a girl I sort of had a thing going with last fall. Saw each other about once a week for a while there. Felt like we were getting pretty close?
But I dunno, some issues and inconvenient schedules later we haven't seen each other in almost 3 months and now I guess we're just past it.

I've been married like, forever, but recently my wife got a promotion that took her from working most evenings to a regular 9-5, and suddenly we were spending a ton of time together again and it was really nice
but now that new promotion has turned kinda really shitty and she's about to ask to return to her old job. Hoping her bosses will smarten the heck up and fix things rather than lose her, because I really liked having her around again, but holy shit I don't blame her for wanting out. Physical safety is a pretty basic thing to want in a job.
We currently have plans for a double-date with my sister and her boyfriend at a ridiculously nice restaurant that we got reservations for back in December. We're doing it on the 13th though, as Mrs. Fearghaill (if she's still at her current job) is on call for valentimes.

I'll say this though, listening to Danswers today and learning that Danny O'Dwyer was dumped a month before marriage after nine years, and then found whom he now thinks may be the love of his life
well, it felt like what I needed to hear. Because even I didn't get it as bad as he did. So, hope.
I kinda got feelings for a guy but I don't really know if anything is happening there and I don't super want to push it until he starts giving off some way clearer signals
Plans for Valentine's Day are to go to a craft brewery event with another single lady-friend and get hella smashed and maybe yell obscenities at any couples present depending on how many samples we end up crashing through

I fell into the trap of looking at bigger apartments for me and Nuka and oh god I'm gonna weep tears of molten platinum and still the tears won't be worth enough to get us a nice place.
I'm assuming men don't eat or have any other expenses involved with their care and upkeep, right? looking to save money here.

Me and my girlfriend went to cali last week to visit her family, and we went to californa adventures and disneyland and had in n out a bunch and just had a blast. It has been going wonderfully the past year and some months and she is the best and owns like 6 cat shirts and i am Beyoncé levels of crazy in love.
Valentine's day plans are just wander around the smithsonian museums, botanical gardens and whatnot. Maybe grab some pho and Eat some cupcakes. Low key stuff.
Ps I also love that my iPhone autocrrected Beyoncé

I got married in August and it's p cool. We're going to Japan in 5 weeks for our honeymoon.
I don't doubt its existence though because you could randomly paste 30 pages of a dictionary on a board and throw a dart and land on a thing Montreal has a festival about 100% of the time.

Yeah my girlfriend sent me a list and I just picked one that sounded fun to plan my visit around.
Also, I have to confess that I enjoy being asked questions about my love life entirely too much and always reveal as little information per question as possible because it is just too much fun, conversations are always some variant of.
"Oh so where did you meet your girlfriend?" Japan.
"Does she live here with you now?" No, she lives in Canada now.
"Why does she live in Cananda?" Because she's Quebecois.
"...Wait so she's not Japanese?" No, she's Canadian.
"So...how did you guys meet?" and so on and so forth. I know I should just be upfront about it all but it is so much fun watching people try to puzzle through it all.
Soooo I moved to the other side of the world to get my relationship onto some variety of "srs" track
And it is going okay so far.
Like, it has been a little challenging getting her to adjust to me being here after spending four years and change doing long distance, but I kind of expected that, and it's getting better little by little.

Yes.
If you also get her a card that says YOU'RE THE BEST, GRILLFRIEND.
