I know this stuff happens ad hoc, so I'm trying to get ahead of it and see what people are doing and what I might be able to join in on.
Long time gamer(35 years) play most anything from mini's, to RPGs, to boardgames. Planned on bringing some smaller board games (Tiny Epic Kingdoms, Carwars, risk.) Would consider bringing Merchant of Venus if people were interested. Also interested in trying Pandemic or War of the Ring.

Your best bet is to just hang out in the tabletop free play area. And bring a sign or something to look for players or look for group, or just be good at being loud and approachable. There are always people wandering around obviously looking for a group, but a lot of people can be shy, go up and ask if they want to play. I'll probably be spending most of my time in the table top freeplay area. I'm always open to people just walking up to me and butting in. I'll be the guy wearing the painter's coveralls with signatures all over. The problem with trying to organize things ahead of time is ... PAX happens. Schedules never get stuck to.

Some things I'd like to do at some point during the convention are

    16 player game of warioware
    hardcore game of jungle speed
start a 1000 blank white cards PAX east deck
    Play Argue
    finally learn to play munchkin

and you know, play awesome games I've never heard of before. So if any of that sounds interesting, let me know.

There is Thursday night gaming at the Westin (see the thread for it) and sometimes also the Renaissance. Sometimes Sunday too.

For the other nights Dan is correct-- bring a sign and a smile to Tabletop.

One of the great features of the tabletop area is the huge game library. They've got a massive collection of awesome boardgames, so don't feel like you need to bring everything that you might want to play. When in doubt, hanging around there and asking people if they want to try a game with you is a good way to find a group because people are usually poking around at the library trying to find something to play.

That being said, there's almost always a collection of boardgamers in the mezzanine of the Westin at all hours, so worth swinging by there if you're looking for games before/after hours. . .
