I am incredibly lucky in that my landlord pays for my apartment's heat, and he keeps it fairly warm in here. Best landlord I've ever had. I'm sitting around in shorts right now.
Woo, the city just told people to stay home unless Absolutely Necessary for at least the next day.
Apparently they got a little annoyed with people taking their compact cars through two feet of slush and exchanging their vehicles for traffic obstacles pretty much everywhere today.
it's going below -10 here tonight. I have a gas fireplace for heat and it's simply not enough to keep the room warm. this might be the coldest I have ever seen it get.

It's about 22c here right now. Half the sky in front of me is bright blue and fluffy white clouds. The other half is grey and rainy.
And this guy at the bus stop where I'm parked and waiting for ecco was hanging out for the rain to stop. He was singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". He was actually quite good. Except he only seemed to know one verse.
The whole parking lot was nicely cleared except my car?? Which seemed to have not only been plowed under but snowblowered under first just for that extra dense-pack action? So despite getting around to leave 45 minutes early I was actually twenty minutes late
To be fair I stopped and bought a donut because at that point fuck you I earned a donut
i didn't think i'd ever leave new england but this winter is seriously making me consider it
when the spring comes i'll probably forget all about it but holy shit it has been an absolutely miserable couple of months
it will be worth it when everywhere else starts getting hit by hurricane/tornados/earthquakes/droughts

Projected to be the coldest day of the week here in Austin (which means with wind chill it's like 34 so you can all laugh at me now) and I decide instead of being a lazy piece of shit to stick to my normal routine.
Only four more miles to walk, at least half of which will be facing into the wind!

Where in Canada and what was the temperature? I am dubious.
This has been your Oklahoma update
66 Fahrenheit this morning in Houston. It was 75 by noon on Saturday, but we're expecting rain today so it probably won't get much higher.

My boyfriend's shitty work actually told him he needed to go out driving to a shift after the blizzard warning. He was not happy with that.

I have been hacking ice from my gutters all day with a hammer and screwdriver. Ice is coming under the roof line and melting.
