I see Dreamfall book 2 is keeping up the spirit of Book 1's terrible performance. Don't get what redthread is doing that makes their games fluctuate so much. No clue how they plan to port this to console, it'll be a slideshow.
Where does BloodRayne Betrayal fall in the whole BloodRayne story? I remember beating the second one (via copious amounts of cheating) but then the story just cliffhanged like mad.
It falls in between "Hot vampire lady" and "This series had a story?" on the timeline map.

If I recall, the story falls in the "Shut up, who cares"section of the bloodrayne mythos. No, really I think it's someplace in the middle ages, just don't think about it to much.

Damn, I was actually looking forward to getting more of the "world in post-apocalyptic vampire world" story. I can't have been the only one that actually enjoyed the increasingly "doomsday" feel of BloodRayne 2, only for them to not pull out the "save the world" deus ex machina and instead let it all go to hell.
Can I?

Been a while since I cleared a game from my backlog but I finally finished Shadowrun Returns. It was a pretty decent game and I might pick up dragonfall when it is on sale, but I guess you can't get it as dlc anymore which I'm sure is old news.
Is Shadowrun Online similar game play to these? Not sure if any of you are playing that at all. I saw an ad for it in the Shadowrun Card Game box when we tried it at our local game store.
It went on sale for SteamOS and they haven't taken it down yet. Then the web series got put up and the Hype Train event ends soon with their Spring Break event starting the 13th.
With the now 100% xp boost, it's a good time to check the game out if you haven't and grab the GOTY or DLC you're missing on the cheap.
I took a leap of faith and jumped on that Shadow of Mordor deal that Best Buy had going on. Somebody mentioned it here a few days ago. I am happy to report that it runs just fine on my laptop (my specs were somewhat in question) and I have been happily slaying Uruk-Hai for hours. In other news, I may be kind of terrible at this game. Orc promotions 'erryday.

No. I liked that, too.
BloodRayne is just too good to exist in this world.
Looks like Payday 2 and Space Asshole are potential frontrunners for FNG this weekend, what with the free weekends and all. Although anything else suggested will definitely be considered.
FINALLY. I installed this game months ago when it was suggested that would be the FNG. Then nothing happened and it was never brought up again.
Space Asshole has been played a couple of times for FNG, but when the turn out was really low FNG typically ended early or moved into other games. We found ways to make the game fun with only 3-4 people, but not multiple HOURS of fun hoping people would show up. I think I even bought an extra copy or two last time it was on sale just in case someone needed it, but it was unecessary.
I know I'll be playing some Payday 2 with some friends, but when FNG time comes, if I see Space Asshole fired up (that sounds wrong), I'll definitely hop over and play.
Our version of Bag Man with increased speed and only sledgehammers was a good time the last few times we've played. It would probably go the distance time-wise with more people wrecking each others faces.
Speed Runners is great fun too...
And as stated, Payday 2 is free for the weekend...
Remember folks - you don't have to wait for any of us to post, join the group and post away.
Bring up games you'd like to dust off or just want to play more of, setup time slots that work better for you and see who is available!
That's enough FNG outta me in here for now though, I'll run over to the Coop Calamities group thread when I get home.
I should probably install Payday 2 for tomorrow night. Does it have bots to practice with and against? I've owned it for awhile but never tried it.

So Might and Magic X is on for $7.50 right now. Is it worth this price?

Run some story missions. They are kinda slow to dole out skills and you will kill uruk more effectively with more skills.
My progress pattern ended up being:
kill uruk until they all are pretty much owning me.
Play a handful of missions to earn upgrades.
Repeat.

Yes.
It is super ugly, and toward the end it gets a little obnoxiously battle heavy, but it's a good RPG all in all. Lots of secrets to find and stuff to do. It grabbed me like few 2014 games did (only ones I'd say did more was Divinity, Dragonfall and Dark Souls 2).
DLC kinda sucks though.

Now you mention it, if you already own the basegame but no DLC, there are 2 bundles containing several pieces of DLC that are cheaper than if you get them individually from the main page of the game:
Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition is $5.77 at GMG. Again from Slickdeals:
Green Man Gaming has Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (PC Digital Download) for $7.49 - $1.72 with voucher code H3U5TZ-9726D1-JIPSHC = $5.77. Thanks Discombobulated

Well, there is no pvp, it's all co-op. Best with co-op buddies, but you can co-op with bots as well but don't count on the bots to be good.
Definitely best with co-op buddies. The bots are terrible. They can be abused later on, but they're still not a substitute for a human...unless of course that human is really, really, really, really bad.

That deserves a giveaway even though I've got my other thing going on already. Let's go with Ori and the Blind Forest since it seems to be the new hotness and the most wishlisted game option doesn't seem to be working for me right now.
Ends tomorrow at 11pst.
Majestic person @HiT BiT majestically gifted me a copy of Majestic Nights. Thank you! I've been rocking out in Hotline Miami 2's version of the 80's for a little while. This should be a fun change of pace from the non-stop murderfest.
So I just tried Besiege for the first time and made it through the level whose objective is "kill 90% of everybody". My machine consisted of the mandatory center block with 2 block on top of it. From there we push out one block on each cardinal face at the bottom. Bottom got spinning saw blades and top got flame throwers. It was erratic but it got the job done, and it made me wish that Besiege had an export to youtube function like Spacechem does. I think the USS BAFT may start deploying these on hostile planets.
No video, but here's a pic to The Whirling Dervish.

IT IS DONE! A new computer has been ordered. The haunting shall be lifted....at the end of the month because of shipping
Just make sure you remove your old computer from the premises before the new one is moved in. And maybe set off a bug bomb in the interim. Possibly get a blessing from a priest too.
It's the only way to be sure there's no cross-contamination.
heenato, for (4 easy payments of) $99.99, I can send you a (3dfx) Voodoo card that can pull the bad mojo out of your old computer. Then just burn that card, and your new PC should be problem free.
PM me for details.
I still have mine too! That was the GPU in the first computer I ever built from scratch.
I'm super excited to get Cities Skylines (someday). Watching the Giant Bomb quick look and it looks very accessible and very not destroyed by EA.
I have been watching twitch of that game for this week. I am so waiting for a sale on this one. Not that I need a game I will spend all my time playing though.
Huge thanks to @HyphyKezzy for Shadowrun: Dragonfall. I'm going to give this a try tonight and hopefully finish it before break is over and I have to start going back to my drekking classes again.

Shadowrun Returns/Dead Man's Switch is good to great. Dragonfall, especially the Director's Cut, is amazing. Also, tasers are civilization.

Any DLC in the "must have" category? I have already picked up Gage Mod Courier, Hotline Miami and Clover. While I'm tempted by the guns I have barely afford any of the standard ones and the heist packs I can be cheap and piggy back on other players.
If you'd like a bit of a mild mindfuck puzzle/exploration game with beautiful visuals and that positively drips unsettling, give it a whirl. It's hard to really say anything about it without spoiling the fun, though.
Cross posting from the Titanfall thread, because everyone likes free stuff, but on Origin, all the Titanfall DLC is free right now. Sorry if it was already mentioned.

Oh, and you people took all of the Valkyria Chronicle keys.
So what are the thoughts on Ass. Creed 3 and 4? I have heard better things about 4 but i dont want to skip too much story wise by missing 3.
I skipped over 3 and had a great time with 4. You miss out on what their crazy present-day story line was building up to, but from what I understand that part wasn't well received. And they did a pretty good job of starting up a ridiculous new present-day story line in 4.

For $5, AC3 is worth a go. There is still a bunch of good in there despite the many complaints.
AC4 is an awesome pirate game but a so-so AC game IMO. Modern day story is only really connected to the general lore and the final cutscene of 3 and it establishes a potentially interesting premise for the new series. Sadly, Unity managed to make it feel less like a reason and more like an excuse.
