It's funny, because while the WoW/WC heroes we have right now are currently all great - and are certainly all staples of the series - I will be even more excited if an when some of the lesser known (and forgotten) characters ever get added. My #1 most desired WoW hero is Chromie. I would play the shit out of her if they ever add her.
Give me Chromie in her gnome form, and give her time-based spells, perhaps in the vein of Zillean from LoL. Then for her ultimates, give her two different options for a dragon transformation. Make one option an aggressive option and make the other a defensive or support option. Like a super slow time, or a time-lapse, or something. I get giddy just thinking about being Chromie.
I'd also love to see them visit some of the "Lost Heroes" from WC2. The ones who went into the Dark Portal and disappeared. We know what happened to Khadgar, as he plays a major role in both of the Draenor expansions. But what about Turalyon? What about Alleria. At this point giving us another Elven Ranger would be highly redundant and probably detrimental to the health of the game. But I have way more fanboy love for Alleria than I do for Tyrande or Sylvanas.
My big ones include Bolvar Fordragon. The Onyxia key quest back in vanilla wow was involved but I kind of stumbled on it just doing Blackrock Depths before working to complete it over time. Starting a fight in the throne room is always a vivid memory from that era of the game. And then when Wrath came out, some of his quest giver dialogue was altered to thank me for helping him out back in the day.
My other big one would be Heign the Unclean. I have no idea how he would work. But he's actually humanoid and his fight was one of the more memorable ones even if frustrating at times as you found out which of your guild mates had issues with judging distance and quick movement.

I, too, want Chromie. Another WoW/WC character I'm eagerly waiting for is Kael'thas. Then give me Mephisto and Imperius from Diablo and take all my money. I guess the game could also use a Warrior hero from Starcraft, maybe even a ranged warrior, but I'm out of ideas there; maybe base it on the Goliath unit?
After the Crusader, the character I want to see most is Arcturus Mengsk. I don't even know what his skillset would be, but he is by far the most detestable baddie (IMO) of any Blizzard game, and I just find him to be a really interesting character. I even had to buy this as soon as I saw it:
Personally I'd like to see some of the guys from Diablo 2 make an appearance. Especially the Necromancer and Druid. Werewolfs and Bears? Oh my!
Like, the druid could be a specialist who specs warrior with bear or assassin with caster, or whatever, just be true to his hybrid nature. Necro would probably be more like Azmodan, with summons and spells.

The problem with Cain is that he literally has zero pre-defined skills. I guess that gives them to thematically create whatever they want. But it also presents a real challenge because what does Cain even do? As players, our sole exposure to Cain is him standing around saying "Stay awhile and listen" and rescuing him two or three times.
Is he a mage? Is he support? Does he just walk around at a quarter of the speed of normal heroes and spout random lore? Does he bore the enemy team with endless exposition?
There just isn't much Blizzard has to work with, and I think that's part of why we haven't seen him yet. Yes, he's a major character in the Diablo universe, but there's nothing about gameplay in any of his appearances.
Looking back on diablo there really are a lot of bosses, characters and NPC's for them to work with. I'm hoping we get all the prime evils at least.
From starcraft I'd personally rather see valerian mengsk, but I think that's more of a desire just to see more of him he had potential to be really interesting but just sort of fades into the background after his introduction.
And I also desperately want the alien queen like appearance of diablo instead of the big footballer we have.

Well, making one of his main talents a "boring story stun" is just too obvious. So I think overall that makes him a support or specialist. His other abilities could be tank-based because goddamn if he was impossible to kill or harm even if you wanted to. Then give him some random "summon angelic hordes nonsense because he's the last of the horadrim. So, tank, stun, heal, angelic hordes covers his four main talents and all are on theme...
Of course, they could go in the opposite direction and pull a Yoda from Attack of the Clones with him and be like "WATCH OUT! we got a bad ass over here"

There are two things I'd like to see that are map-related rather than hero-related.
I want to see seasonal decorations on the maps, like snow during Winter Veil and stuff like that. I'd also like to see some one-off co-op events, like for two weeks Onyxia shows up as a kind of mini-raid thing and if you beat her you get a portrait and a mount or something like that. I think Dota does some new year beast thing, but I don't know how that's received.

um actually the camps disappear when you are in the DK don't they? or is that just on garden
(also he typoed bruiser hehe)
On both the DK map and the Plant Terror map, if you have a merc camp actively engaged when the objective is activated, you can continue to clear the camp and claim it. This is actually a really good strategy. It puts pressure on multiple lanes. Capture camps, claim Plant Terror, split push multiple lanes at once while you have the advantage.

If you start a merc camp before the boss monster is summoned, it will stick around so you can finish it. Anyway, Tychus is kinda stupid. I feel bad when I play him.

There is a definitive list of stupid heroes and Tychus ain't on it.
Yes, I made the list. It's still definitive, though!

I'm pretty sure the list goes:
Stupid heroes: All the ones that just killed me or are on the other team even if I can't see them I know they're there and they suck.
Well-balanced heroes: The ones I just killed.
In need of a minor buff but probably okay: What I am playing.
I may be new at this, but I've figured a couple things out, after all...
As much as I love playing support, the fact that I'm completely at the mercy of random joe douchebag on my team in order to get anything done is intensely infuriating sometimes.
No, it's NOT my fault if you - as Diablo - break away from the pirate turn-in to go chasing down enemies solo and end up on an eight death feed into a loss before we even hit level 20.

I think a firebat would make a pretty cool tank for starcraft, too
One of the things I hate about mutas and the banshees is that it's hard to know where they are to hit them with skillshots.

The camps despawn if they are idle.
Thanks! Hopefully this will make things significantly less frustrating

I'd expect a skin but maybe they're thinking of making it a standalone hero?
