Oh man I just looked at the smallprint of the poster and learned Hayley Atwell and Idris Elba are both in it
this movie is gonna cover a lot of stuff.
Nah
Popular theory due to Wanda being confirmed to have illusion/hallucination powers and footage of Steve in WWII times is that she whammies everyone with the magic and Hayley Atwell and Idris Elba's appearances are part of Cap and Thor's hallucinations
Aah, yeah, maybe.
Also Andy Serkis isn't credited on there, which seems weird?
Considering his character is on the poster?
Andy Serkis is playing Klaw and Klaw ain't on that poster from what I can see
Oh I'm not familiar with the character, I assumed he was the lens-flared flying guy in the background.

Then I don't know who that is.
That is The Vision who is being played by Paul Bettany

I thought Paul Bettany was only credited for JARVIS!
Well! I keep learning about new characters as these movies come out.
Whatever, can't hurt. I haven't been following the promo so I didn't know, would have been a surprise when I saw it, but whatever, that movie is gonna be so fucking dense there's gonna be a hundred other things fighting for my attention.
As someone trying to stay pretty blank-slate on the new Avengers movie (no trailers, no leaks, etc) I'd say knowing that an existing character becomes a new and notable character is a bit of a spoiler. Not everyone knows voice actors for unseen characters or actors for new characters, let alone connecting those dots.
It's not in the trailers, it's barely in the posters (and not at all obvious unless you know what to look for), it's entirely possible for someone not to know about it.
In fact I wish I could not be spoiled by who plays spider-man but thats not gonna happen
Man I don't want to start another argument but last time this came up in regards to Winter Soldier I think I remember the ruling being that stuff that is on posters/being talked about on talk shows/in trailers is fair game because it is a superhero movie/comics thread and if you're trying to remain completely blind you probably shouldn't go into a thread explicitly about that stuff

This is what happens when you joke about spoilers @Devlin_Dragonus
Danny Elfman did the music for the Raimi trilogy but didn't do the ASM series (James Horner did 1 and Hans Zimmer and Pals did 2) and since they are debuting a new, fresh MCU Spidey there's no reason for them to call back to a theme from two reboots ago
Danny Elfman did the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack, a Disney property
if they play a clip of it at some point in the movie or something, maybe they needed to credit him
or maybe he wrote the creepy No Strings On Me remix
Danny Elfman writes a lot of music!
If they're merely putting a piece of Danny Elfman music in as something diegetic, he would be credited in the ending credits along with all the other licensed music that was used. You don't get your name on the movie poster's bill for stuff you already did.
I mean, it's a movie starring the guy who played bucky
he wears a domino mask
I wasn't following at all, I knew the title and that was pretty much it.
Also I didn't remember who played Bucky in the first one at all.
Something about the actor that plays Bucky makes it so hard for me to recognize him. Like, he has the least recognizable face I've ever seen. I've watched the Captain America movies a crazy number of times and I'm still pretty sure I couldn't pick him out of a five man line up.

I mean ok, but you not following open press does not mean people are going to be held accountable for talking about open press.
If it isn't even treated as a secret by the movie, it's not a spoiler.
I'm not holding the book I was reading responsible for spoiling me on a decades-old storyline that happened to share a title with an upcoming movie, for the record.

well it is at least not decades old - Bucky was actually one of the three people you were never supposed to "bring back" in comics. It wasn't until 2005 that the Winter Soldier story happened.

I'm usually pro "spoiler anything you think might spoil it for someone"
sometimes it's ridiculous to me, like when people complained we didn't spoiler Roy's Arsenal costume (you know, spoiling that the character becomes a superhero like he's been literally since his creation 74 years ago), in the comic book thread

Spoilers blank!!
That's pretty awesome!
He's on the poster!
He's on the cups you will get at the movie theater!
He's been on the tonight show and talked about it!
Vision being in the movie and being played by the same dude who is Jarvis ain't a spoiler
But you know how that argument usually goes.
There were surprised gasps and a "awww honey, no"
I was giggling like a school girl.
Christmas 2013 my then-girlfriend got me a really nice Superheroes documentary book, and I got around to reading it around the late winter
and towards the end of that book, which I read the week before Winter Soldier came out, they were listing some notable comic storylines
and sure enough "The Winter Soldier, who turns out to be Captain America's former sidekick Bucky Barnes"
oh THANKS, GREAT!
No big deal, I guess

he's gonna be so mad when he finds out all the good games are on iOS
actually, it was Jason Todd, Bucky Barnes, and Uncle Ben
and then the Batman and Captain America books became one for a decade
I... don't think this is the correct list.
I really liked Red Hood
Boy did they ever fuck up his character
