My local Craigslist has 3 of the 11 Meta Knights my Best Buy got. (I thought they got ten, but the guy with the three Craigslist ads says they got 11.)
There were 4 in town, I think, listed on eBay after I sorted by distance. Potentially 7 MK bought solely for resale or just 4, based on if they guy listed on eBay also/first.
Whereas there was 9 extra Rosalinas at Target the day after she came out. My regional scalpers were late to the amiibo rush, apparently.
I'll go without before I give a scalper 50 bucks for 13 dollar chunk of plastic though.
It's going to be funny like, a year from now, when Amiibos are just overflowing in availability.
Or at least that is how I imagine things will go down.
In my experience with Nintendo limited releases, this is never going to be the case.
I don't think Amiibos are supposed to be limited releases. I just think they are making them only so quickly and there is a dock worker slowdown going on. Outside of the specific, limited edition ones like Gold Mario.
But I doubt they are going to make something like Marth limited edition if they plan to have him in future games like Codename Steam and stuff.
I've seen captain falcon and little mac price tags on empty shelf pegs. It was nice to know they apparently existed and occupied space on the shelf for a brief moment in space and time.

they've explicitly said that they're reprinting marth
but look at, say, little mac
not an overwhelmingly popular character outside of a niche fanbase
most likely isn't going to be getting another game any time in the near future
yeah they're not making any more of those. the dockworker strike might reveal a few extra shipments of him but it also

But since they are literally flying off the shelves the second they hit them.

Why not just make more and collect the income?

But the last couple fights in the cave of ordeals finally made me see some of the similarities people say Zelda has to dark souls
I could totally be ok with more combats that hard, it was a blast
Probably won't be anything like that in Zelda U unless its optional stuff though
O HAI THERE

Twilight Princess has both the bird knights from zelda 2 as well as the lizard men from zelda II
I also have a Mega Man coming from another store. Should be here in a couple days.

A fitting name for a crazy hard enemy.

I'm stupidly bitter about Meta Knight.

Well the cards are infinitely preferable to figures to me anyway, so man I hope they get on the cards stuff asap.
look as soon as they make another f-zero I'm...sure...that...

I just don't understand why captain falcon's amiibo isn't punching
and even in the golden glowing universe where they did
they'd probably make it like a special limited edition F-Zero amiibo
which wouldn't match my smash bros amiibos at all and that simply wouldn't do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.audioentropy.com/
all the smash amiibos are based on their character select portrait art in smash 4

okay they clearly underestimated demand for these guys
but by how much?
they don't want to pop out a million more little macs and find out they only needed 100k more
or discover that there was only high demand for little mac in the first place because of his rarity

ok let me rephrase
I understand why he's not punching
but he should be punching
since they seemed to have no idea what the hell was happening for the first three, which were pretty close together
(they are probably making more but getting shit printed in China and then transported takes a fair amount of time)
(also probably more but not enough)
