Educational Games?

Hey there PAX Easters! I have a question regarding some of the booths/ devs that have been to East in the past and could be there in March.

Typically, have there ever been booths or devs that highlight educational / learning games? I remember possibly seeing some in years past in the indie sections, but I don't have any specific examples. Was hoping the community could help me out!

Thanks!

All I can specifically remember are booths for schools. I'm sure there was at least one for an educational games.

There are always one or two educational games booths. You'll have to wander around to find them though. Look for the booths with older hosts that don't have a lot of people. I say that in a not-disparaging way! Good educational games can be great! But they tend to be (a) made by educators, who skew slightly older than non-educational game devs, and (b) don't often attract the big PAX crowds.

There definitely was one or two there before. There was a company from newburyport,ma I think (can't remember their name) that makes training games for companies and learning games for colleges. I remember one was about managing a manufacturing facility from staffing to raw materials etc.... similar to projects that are run in a typical Business Ops class.

It looks like WGBH Nova will be there with a booth per the guidebook app. I would think that they would have some educational apps to show.
