Okay I am seriously going to need like a building guide or something because I am tired of everything I build collapsing on me
you now know what it truly means to be an engineer
You don't know shit about being an engineer until you get up to your ass in student loan debt just so everyone can dismiss your ideas out of hand anyway.

So what engineers paid to get, I get for free every day of my life? Hell yeah, I'm ahead of the game

you guys and all your dragonfall talk got me to reboot up the game.
Of course I'm on a different laptop now, so I get to restart. Yay.
ah well, it's an enjoyable way to spend some time.... wait. where did the last 3 hours go....
Huh! Murdered: Soul Suspect had a pretty alright twist at the end.
Didn't blow my top off or nothing, but was still a bigger surprise than I expected from that goofy lil romp. Well done, chaps.
yeah it was pretty neat
I think Soul Suspect is a solid b-tier game, it's got some neat ideas, and the voice acting/characterization makes up for some gameplay jank and so-so writing, at least in my book.
Also I though the game moved pretty well, good pace, not a lot of bumming around - I came off SR4 Gat outta hell when I played Soul Suspect though, so...
e: some weird extremes in that game though. I thought the world they built was cool, and the gameplay contrivance for not being able to pass through all the walls was at least grounded in the fiction.
And then they break all that by having, say, EVERY COP IN THAT CITY play Deus Ex on their work computer. That's not an easter egg, that's not tongue-in-cheek, that's just dumb, immersion-breaking product placement.
Similarly, on the technical side: I thought the animation was pretty good in general (there's a moment early on where Joy goes "GOD!" in an annoyed fashion, and the face she makes and how everything moves in that scene totally sold me on the character).
And then Joy hobbles up and down the stairs, and people walk like robots across town (they seem like placeholder animations to map out the routes or something, I don't know)

steam thread why did shadows of mordor download 8 gigs of stuff the other day did some DLC get released or something
Starting in on Thi4f, or whatever we're calling it.
It ain't Thief, but it ain't near as bad as I feared.
High praise all up ins
I heard it wasn't bad, it just wasn't really what the fans of the older Thief games wanted. But I heard that even some of them said that they enjoyed it for what it is.

It was pretty. But I think it still would have gotten only a lukewarm reception even if it weren't for the whole name issue, compared to dishonored.

The writing is already leagues better than Dishonored
I don't intend this as praise for Thi4f, mind

Yeah they are kindly pre loading the new Bright Lord dlc. Which I didn't buy, and I'm not going to play the game again any time soon, so I just stopped the download and uninstalled it.

And then John was the cat
yeah it was pretty neat
Maybe it's time for a new video card. And then new RAM. And a processor, and...
It's some sort of horrible cascade effect!
Yeah, that's pretty typical.
So, what you running?
Why I fear the ocean.
pretty basic Elf Sam. Rifles and pistols. nothing too flash at the moment.
Although I am only past the Hotel in the very beginning.
I am liking the Director's Cut perks of being able to upgrade your team. That's really nifty.

Holy shit that is a low-rent movie poster
Gamertag: PrimusD | Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
the movie is goddamn incredible
Gamertag: PrimusD | Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
it probably cost more to make than the actual movie
I got a big pain right at the top of my nose and recoiled in pain from my screen
The first time Comic Sans appeared
Gamertag: PrimusD | Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
This is probably circle 7 or 8
they're halfway through the film so far
That's a bit much for me.

it's actually pretty great!
the podcast, I mean
I've never seen the movie
How many people have gone mad and/or committed suicide in the process?
So far, I mean.
Why I fear the ocean.
Alright, I need this movie
And that cat isn't even the one in the movie!
It's a little easy, but I still dig the art a lot

There were a lot of problems with it being buggy on launch, so some of that might have been fixed by now.
