Questions About Autograph Sessions...

AstroAAstroA Registered User regular
I have a couple questions about the autograph sessions in the Queue Room. I hope previous PAXers can help me, as this is my first time going to a signing.

Should I get there early? If so, how early?
Where would the lines start?

I hope you guys can help me out! Hope to see you all there!

I didn't do the autograph sessions last year, but I passed through the queue room a few times while they were going on. Like with most other things I imagine showing up at least 30 minutes early is a good idea. The Enforcers will set up a a crowd funnel to herd people through for the signings and they'll be there to mark the line entrance and keep things in order.

I'd also like to add that bringing cash may be a good idea. Maybe it was just the Mass Effect signing last year, but it was originally posted as free and ended up requiring a donation, wherein all but one of the VAs took only cash. Kind of a downer if you wait in line for a while and end up needing cash when you don't have any.

I remember last year walking past a live autograph session and the line was across the queue room. Looking at the time, it was about 10 minutes after the autograph session started. Typically autograph sessions take place right after that person/group's designated panel, so you may consider leaving the panel early and derping around the queue room for a little bit until it starts.

I've got a copy of PA Season 1 that i managed to pick up on consignment (who would sell that?!) and wanted to get it signed. Should I bring in some funds for that just in case? It would be cool if I could get all the crew to sign it, not just Jerry and Mike.

You don't need to bring money to get stuff signed by the PA staff.

Is it PAX <insert nearest future PAX here> yet?

This will be our 3rd Pax East and I've never heard needing cash for an autograph . Some do say picture OR autograph. The reason behind that is to keep the line moving. A half an hour before the signing should be good enough.
