basically, right after the first real boss, the game is like, why not try out your new party member today there is nothing else going on also there is a new monster replacing the boss
so you go back through the dungeon, holding autoattack the whole way, then you meet the boss and instant party wipe because trolololo said monster is tuned about 8 levels above you

It's pretty good? It's basically a science fiction Dwarf Fortress, where your colony starts as three people who have crashed in escape pods and need to survive, with an eventual goal of building a new ship to get off that god-forsaken rock. Advantages over DF include actual graphics and a pretty well-made combat system, which is handy when you're being assaulted by space pirates who vastly outnumber and outgun your pathetic colonials.
It's still alpha and I wouldn't recommend anyone buy it until it's, you know, not alpha/"early access", but it has a lot of potential going for it
also you get to club raiders half to death and then Stockholm syndrome them into joining your colony
