Saw a bonkers AP Tryndamere build that supposedly wrecks in URF. Gonna give it a spin (hyuk hyuk) tonight.
everything "wrecks" in urf
as in everything is theoretically op but there are still clear tiers/divisons of OP
still really dumb that they didn't remove homeguard though
Supposedly this is in an upper tier of OP, which was why the originator claims its noteworthiness.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Its good, but its not even close to Galio or Karthus
edit: Basically Tyrndamere is melee and the CD on his ult is too long to get it permanent. So he has to get in range of the enemy, gets CC'd and dies. Eventually.
it's a little lower I think but honestly zhonyas is such a ubiquitous item that simply depriving the other team of it through karthus ults in and of itself is overpowering
karthus really is impossible to deal with. I played one game as him and it was completely unfair

URF really does seem kinda feast or famine. You are either wrecking and instakilling erry thing in sight, or the recipient of such.

every single champ in URF
no, there's a reason karthus was disabled last time they had urf. it isn't fair to everyone else to play against him. him and galio need to be permanently disabled for urf(and ryze?)
Again, this is probably because I play mostly melee champs, but I don't find URF to be super fun. The gimmick is great, but I think it is best kept as an occasional event.

You know those guys who just faceroll-"combo" in MvC? The ones who play Soul Calibur and Tekken by flailing wildly?

URF is for those guys.
I'm sure they play Eddy/Christie.

yeah URF isn't very fun for melee champions.
i just look at it a skillshot practice.
Why practice hitting a Lux Q every 14 seconds when you can do it every 2?
URF is proving to me that my old-man reflexes aren't up to snuff anymore. Really, the whole thing is a haunting reminder of my own mortality. Thanks, Riot!
URF would be good to have available often for mechanical practice. Way easier to practice your flash plays when you get to use it every 50 seconds. But yeah, as a PVP mode that you can play it wears kinda thin after a while.
that's why I like ascension so much- it's actually balanced. maybe even more so than SR. nemesis was everyone spamming the same lame champions over and over and urf is a dumb twitch fest where everyone picks ultra range/cc champs. that makes it funny to me that a mere melee tank overshadows all of them.

I thought URF was supposed to be fun. Oh boy it sure is fun having one infinitely untargetable opponent (vlad, yi, etc) every game... I am having so much fun not being able to do anything and dying. I mean THEY must be enjoying going 30/5 but for the 5 people they are playing against...
fucking retarded, not playing again.

Some days you're the dog, some days you're the hydrant.
everyone on the enemy team was AP and not a single Zhonya's
they deserved to lose as bad as they did and shaco even had a Zhonya's to show them how OP it was
I didn't build a zhonya's either. I played 3 games as galio and all of them were that comically one sided. this game was more so because they were all ap so I could take 3-4 of them on and kill them all. people built it in other games, but.. zhonya's not gonna save you from the gargoyle. I mean it's got armor, like I give a fuck. pop the activate and I'll drop a QE on you as soon as it fades. he can't be beat in urf and the only saving grace is that no one plays him.
I actually had someone build a morello's tome even though the cdr is a complete sunk cost because the healing debuff is the only chance you have at ever killing him. but even with the debuff it still takes their entire team to take him down, at which point your team has aced them.

So I haven't had chance to play URF mode yet. And by the sounds of things I should be kinda grateful!
So in general, its not as great as riot are making it out to be?

Dumb-fun vs dumb. Most champions are hilarious on URF, but some its just like, whyyyy.
No one has fun playing Nocturne on URF, its just there to make sure no one else is having any either.
eh
I don't see AP tryndamere being any better than AD trynd even in URF ever since they changed it
the only thing AP trynd might have is that he is slightly more immortal than AD trynd with building Zhonya's
but you can build zhonya's on anyone
and you probably should because that shit is mega busted on URF

Syndra was literally the first person I thought of for Luden's use when they were testing it, with Ahri a close second.
Helps with that lane pushing too.

E: Holy shit @spectrum those are epic xD
it's simply that there is 0 nuance to the mode, just mash buttons as fast as you can and hope the other guy is worse at mashing buttons
play it at least once for the icon
