I would play the shit out of a Dragon Ball/DBZ RPG that had some level of interaction with the moves, like mashing buttons to power up a Kamehameha or timing an instant transmission.
Anyway there is actually already a good DBZ RPG, it's on DS, it's called Attack of the Saiyans
It's a real fucking shame that it apparently never got any sequels, as it only goes through the end of the Saiyan Saga and even hints at the Frieza Saga in the end of the game
one of my favorite parts about that game is that your tutorialparty, the weakass characters who train you to play the game
are tien, yamcha, and krillin
I really like how Gohan has garbage-ass starting stats
But he has the highest stat growth of any character, so eventually he's the strongest character in the game

Fuck this PQ that you get from Kid Trunks
I'm literally at the point where I one-shot every group up to the end, and then Goku and Gohan just spam their ultimate kamehameha so much that it kills me DURING my ult

Yeah, fucking welcome to hell. It took Final Flash for me to get through it. Start it just before one of them ends their bullshit.
Make sure you bring Maximum Charge so you can go into every fight with full ki already.
And just get lucky about when they choose to kamehameha you.

I have three suggestions for that PQ
1) If you go online you can do that one with other players, just search quest #47 and there's probably a few people trying to tackle it.
2) Train harder.
3) The DLC has added a very interesting Z-Soul,
If you finish training under Tien and then spar with him after, you get a Z-Soul that straight up nullifies every single attack with "Kamehameha" in the name. It's amazing.

It's called "Haaaaaaaaaaaah!!" and yes, I counted those A's. Official description:
[Master] Tien's Z-Soul. All moves named 'Kamehameha' passes through, and become null.
I assure you it does exactly that, and the AI has no idea what's happening or how to deal. I almost started to feel bad for poor Gohan. "I'm shooting someone with the Kamehameha, why isn't he taking damage from it? It's the Kamehameha, it has one goddamn job!
I know we talked about it before when we talked about Tien being a master but man the I just hit the part in the show where he beats Cell down using the triangle blast so 18 can escape and it's sweet

Wasn't the GBA Tenkaichi games like this?

but when I did it co-op with Bluedude yesterday he got it first try
Ita like seconds faster than just dashing
seconds that could be spent smooching your ki blasting face
Every character I have has a preset with it just in case
maybe it's because I haven't actually beat the final story mission yet
it's a hard thing to describe but @Speed Racer has gotten to hear it too many times now

I haven't completed the story, and it's in the shop. Costs 18000.
AM I A BLIND MAN
Unfortunately not but it is ABSOLUTELY worth grinding for
Kaioken x20 might be the best technique in the game for rando online PVP
I haaaaaaaaaate how their basic attacks feel!!!! Maybe it's the stretchy limbs thing but they just feel incredibly slow and cumbersome
Dragonballs drop from time patrollers which sometimes appear during PQs - if you beat one and get the message "received key item", it is a Dragonball
A good place to farm them is the PQ named "Let's Train", if there's no time patroller in the first area or they don't drop a Dragonball, just restart
The Namekian Y/Heavy attacks are pretty fast, and feel more like a "normal" combo than their light strings
Kaioken x20 Namekian is dabest because you can out-flashstep your opponent's stamina, then they cannot run from your light combos
goku's never been revived by the namek dragonballs
why didn't the z-fighters in future trunks' timeline get in touch with the namekians
pretty sure they woulda done a solid for the dude that saved 'em from frieza

Oh yeah
I totally forgot about that rule
My DBZ lore is getting rusty
I don't have much time to play games these days, and what time I do have is usually eaten away by FFXIV and it's awful grind.
I have barely touched FFXIV since grabbing this.
