No these are 100% controller problems; it was doing it in the character select menu and it was doing it in the screen where I was whupping sandbag
May need to let this thing charge some, or try another controller
That could be it. One of the earlier PA tournaments I was getting my butt kicked by someone when I suddenly realized my controlled was possessed and charging it exorcised it.

What I meant is like... if said Link actually used some of the lesser known items and abilities from Majora's Mask or the handheld games. Link has had a lot of tools over the years, and I'd like to see more of them in Smash.

GGs Wyborn!! I'm gonna go back to what I was doing before you came looking for games: watch Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods
I feel like if I can get Samus' spike consistently, my game with her is going to skyrocket. Thanks for the practice.
Also, and this sort of goes to Munkus as well, I'm never, ever salty about these games. Even if I get completely wrecked, I'm not taking it too hard. It's all fun.

Maaaaybe. Give me a second.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
The length of time I'll be smashing depends entirely on how long my wife takes to do her hair. Once she's done its time for Smash lessons.

I do not know what you mean by that.
Getting on.

@McFlynn I am having issues connecting to your room.
Try connecting to mine.

My wife has renewed interest in Smash, so I've been teaching her how to play. She has close to zero video game experience, so its pretty interesting to watch her learn it. She's seen my replays and stuff, so she has these little moments where she can pull off crazy stuff because she knows what is possible, even if she can't really reproduce it consistently.
I got better against the guy as I went along and won about as much as I lost (with Ganondorf, anyway), but I thought you might like to see some tech by a guy who at least started off beating my ass up and down the block
what sucks is that, for the most part, he's not doing much that i don't do
the main big differences tech-wise are he's using kirby's jab a lot (which I'm just terrible at in general) and he's using kirby's nair, which, i gotta get over my preconceptions of it being a horrible move like it was in melee and brawl
but for the most part he's just reading you better and reacting smarter
The way he's using it, it's not so much about the damage as about the fact that it's very nearly a true combo into another DThrow. Kirby's FAir has next to no landing lag, or looks like, and Ganondorf has almost nothing that comes out as fast as Kirby's grab. It's a really brutal combo against the green guy in particular but it seems good against heavies in general
part of it is that i'm relying on muscle memory from kirby's brawl grab combos, there might be some minute differences that make different attack strings better in sm4sh
That's one perk I've had. I haven't played smash brothers since 2004 and I thought that was a huge disadvantage a few months ago, but I also don't have to deal with a character behaving differently than my game-muscle-memory thinks.

I just now noticed this.
You still there, @McFlynn ?
Welcome to the space jam
I'll hop back on for a few. Make a room?
it was pretty sick
too bad I couldn't pull it off a second time
You mean like in Melee
And I mean Toon Link represents all the handheld games of the past decade except for Link Between Worlds
edit: I'm gonna try regular Link just for funsies
Ness's spike is just not as good as Samus's
If it's not fun then I think I got one more in me
i'm good for a couple more at least

And his chase game is pretty different!
Might still be worth checking out
i gotta actually look at 'em damage wise
i've been going for the up-air because i was under the impression that it did more damage but that might be wrong
against not-ganondorf i usually do the fair because the uair won't hit at low percents on lighter dudes
