Good games, @MetaHybrid. Ike is definitely the scariest guy you play, for me. Your perfect shielding is on point... I find I have trouble doing it consistently online.
Is it even possible to gimp him, with that freakin invincible sword throw and the teleporting dash attack? I'm thinking maybe I could get behind you and go for s stage spike, but that's more or less it.
Too bad about the lag in some matches. I kept on missing inputs or doing things I had no intention of doing. Nearly every fsmash I threw out was supposed to be an ftilt but the lag felt otherwise. Mega Man really suffers from lag I think because he requires a fair bit of precision.
Great games @Chooperdave. I probably should have ended the game after the double suicide. Someone had a great idea to download the Internet while we we're playing.
Going against your Megaman is real tough, so much that I can't use most of my moves or setups because you're jumping around and evading. I felt more capable on stages with more platoforms like battlefield, that way I can avoid all those things flying at my face.
Like Wyborn said. You don't leave very much to punish, best I can hope for is a whiffed Mega Upper.

Battlefield is one of my least favorite stages. Too cramped. I think the competitive scene has actually moved it to counterpick because they realize it gives certain characters a distinct advantage.

For Ike's recovery, a stage spike can work, but he has super armour on the start of it. What really works is a Character that has a counter. You'll guard the sword coming up and hit Ike as he comes following. So Ike can edge guard Ike easily.
And every Fsmash with Ike was unintentional, even the ones I hit you with, I only ever use them to edge guard, what with the end lag.
Battlefield is hugely advantageous to Ganon or Ike because it's basically getting shoved into a broom closet with them, and they love to have the enemy above them

Yeah, I especially hate Battlefield against powerhouses and rush down characters.
I think Mega Man has a bad time on it because his aerials have such laggy endings, and he doesn't really have a lot of great setups that involve platforms. It also really sucks having all those platforms eating my metal blades and hard knuckles, which are both pretty important parts of my zoning kit.

Why yes, I'll that that full platform coverage with Ike's upsmash.

If you have good timing, nerves of steel, and a strong enough single-hit aerial with some reach, you can meet Ike's Side-B in midair. You'll trade, but you will knock the living shit out of him

Moves that last for longer frames will probably make it easier as well, I've had success with Megamans Bair before.
But that's why I mix up where I recover with it. The ledge is usually safer, but you can be spiked during it as well.
Its kind of a bummer that I'm always going to be not as good as I could be because I just can't focus on one game for looong periods of time.
But at the same time I'm not going to turn a hobby into a chore.
On the other hand, this school year starts my crunch time for getting into dental school so I'm either going to have zero time for games or only time for something like Smash where I can play for a half hour and quit.
I forget where I was going with this post but damn if I'm giving up on it now.
Wyborn and Gundi, we need to make sure to have a few matches next week, just in case I do end up being rather scarce later.
Little Mac is way harder to punish than the average character, because his jab comes out in 1 frame and his tilts come out really fucking fast, it's hard to punish him with a character as slow as Ganon
If he weren't so damn gimpable he'd be basically unkillable
Just tried to break my Smash disc in two. Turns out they make em tougher than I thought.
Oh geez dude, I could always play a character I'm not good with if you want
I would get way madder at someone I thought was intentionally playing worse to humor me. It's not you, it's my psychological issues that inevitably make anything even the least bit competitive unfun for me.
Haha, so I was playing a Shulk on FG and got him down a stock. So he just got to the edge and sits there. I taunt and spam move to bait him, but he sits there until the game boots him for inactivity.
Sorry dude, not going to approach if I don't have to!

Is Little Mac your main now?
Ganon is a hard matchup for Mac. Poking is harder because ftilt not only outranges a lot of stuff, but it's a super lethal move for Mac because that semi-spike pretty much means he'll die. It's a ridiculous edgeguarding tool which I don't think you were utilizing enough. It easily trumps side B and dtilt will murder Mac's up B since the stupid thing doesn't autosnap. Life is easier if you just force Mac to approach because you have a lot of tools to outrange him. Approaching Mac is hard as shit because a well time Smash can trump so much.
I'm honestly looking for a new main but I keep going back to Mac and Dedede because learning new characters annoys me. Mac is a good pocket but he can't be a main because it's too too easy to hard counter him via stages and a character like Sheik that can juggle him mercilessly. Dedede is just bad. Awful frame data, nerfed grab range from Brawl, slow as fuck so he can't punish, huge hitbox AND a fast faller so he's combo bait, a gimpable recovery if you are really familiar with the matchup, and he has hardly any combos of his own. And people are starting to pick up on this, as he has plummeted on tier lists from a respectable B or B- down to C- or D tier. He's probably in the upper half of heavyweights, but even then Dedede has very middling to poor customs whereas a LOT of heavyweights change drastically with them (DK becomes viable, and Ganon actually gets recovery).
I may go back to my Brawl main of Olimar, but I really hate that he has a hard time getting kills.
Yeah I should have been FTilting your Side-B recovery, but the DTilt nailing the up-B wasn't something I knew about. Now I do! I thought I did good with that one gimping on Mario Galaxy, though
And man if you don't like getting your shit ruined by Ganon, careful about bringing Olimar. On the wrong side of the map, an unteched Flame Choke on Olimar means certain death at like 50-55%

DO YOU WISH TO ENGAGE IN COMBAT?
(Anybody wanna smash?)
Lookit that asshole
I spent a few moments wondering if this was hyperbole or not
Thinking of using him so I can be on the taunting end.
I understand being super salty about that.
Just let me know when

Let's have one more for realsies fight
I probably shouldn't have bneen as timid as I was at the end there, KO Punch can't kill Ganon until the low 20s
But still, what a great pressure move that is
If he weren't so damn gimpable he'd be basically unkillable
