I don't understand why they're spending time doing this with the JagerMech at all. It's had weapon geometry for ages. It looked fine before. What were they hoping to improve? There are mechs like the Awesome that have been in the game longer (since the beginning of closed beta almost) that still don't have weapon geometry at all.

The missiles on the A? were unfinished, and I don't think they had PPCs modeled on the torsos. I have no idea why they changed the ballistics.
This is how I've been running my Doombud ZEU-6T 3xLRM15 4xML with the LRM15 Cooldown and Range modules.
Also, speaking of LRMS, has anyone noticed a bug with lockon since the patch? where instead of just keeping the reticle in the red target box to get a lock you have to physically keep it on the actual mech itself, which is rather hard at range on light mechs.

Thinking I might downgrade the MLs to SL for more heatsinks ZEU-6T 3xLRM15 4xSL

So far im fairly happy with the Grasshopper. Kinda big, kinda slugish. Very good laser vomit mech. Even with 4 jumpjets it feels like molasses trying to jump. Fuel goes way too qyick for how little you get.
Way too tired to play effectivly. Fricking cold wont go away.
apparently the UAC5 Enforcer got a stealth buff in the latest patch that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, and supposedly got a quirk to reduce the UAC5 jam chance by 5%

Yeah, the Summoner has 5 jump jets, but gets about as much lift as a light mech with 1.
Also, something that gets overlooked with PGIs quirk system for balancing, the more quirks there are, the more the over large / bad hitbox mechs will need, because there will be more DPS on every mech that is killing them even faster.
I just can not find a good build for the (R) Zeus.
it doesn't have great AC5 quirks so theres no real point wasting tonnage on two vs just putting an AC10 in there, and the lack of energy quirks makes even a ML loadout rather hot.

The quirks are kind of frustrating. A range quirk is almost entirely useless without a corresponding velocity buff. The legs get 17 extra armor, so pulling at least a ton off of those is the first thing I did. You really shouldn't be tanking anything, but should have a fair amount of DPS. More of a fire support role that doesn't need to hide cause you've got lots of bonus armor.
Even though you aren't using all 4 energy hardpoints, I'd rather spend the extra 6 tons for only 2 Large Lasers with better heat and range. Medium Lasers just don't have the range. At least Medium Pulses have lower duration so you can focus on leading targets again as soon as possible. A Gauss Rifle might work out ok too, but you'd probably want to lose the XL and a lot of speed. AC10 is kinda meh, but I might try it out.

King Crab, which has the Large archetype, is now set to 20 degrees, equivalent to the Huge archetype (previous value was 25.) This Mech should have a harder time going up hills.

I dunno, 2xAC5 is a longer-range, faster-firing, cooler, higher-DPS AC10, at the cost of 1 slot and 4 tons.

and that 4 tons you save could go to your ammo, essentially freeing 4 tons up for lasers or heatsinks or missile ammo
It's true that the terrain movement mechanics arguably didn't improve the game. But since they're obviously here to stay they should at least be logically consistent. If the poor Gargoyle that nobody likes gets stuck with the Huge archetype then a 'mech that's 20 tons bigger than it damn well should too.
The crab was intelligently designed with a low center of mass that helps keep it stable in rough terrain. Logically it should be better at maneuvering than comparable mechs that insist on being tall.
Just look how steady she is. You could land a vtol on her.

NOOOOOOOO!
Great, so struggling to walk anywhere will be normal when I pilot my crab.
They need to combine and improve the Hill Climb and Leg Module, just call it Improved Leg Actuators. Small speed boost and acceleration (5%?), better hill climbing (+10 degrees?), and losing a leg only drops you to 60% speed no matter what.
Improved Gyros should reduce screen shake and give you faster torso twist (10-20%?). Small bonus to torso internal structure?
Regarding the double AC/5 Zeus. I like it more than an AC/10 because I can fire both at once for a nice stiff poke or chain fire them while brawling for steady damage and extra screenshake. Don't overlook the range quirks, since the generic ballistic stacks with the AC/5 specific, not to mention 12.5% CD reduction is nothing to sneeze at.
I've seen some people saying it does really well with gauss in the arm and a brawler setup with everything else. Personally, I think the 4x MPL + 3x SRM6+A version is the superstar of the bunch. Also the grasshopper that can run 7x MPL + 1x PPC is like a mashup of the two best thunderbolts but with Jump Jets. It is the bee's knees and the cat's pajamas.

I wonder if I get manage 400 MC over the course of this event

That wet sound you hear is every light 'mech pilot salivating and licking their chops.
Yes.

LRMs are looking worse than usual until they can get a fix out.

Games back up, patching.
Obviously we should just remove the legs of IS mechs all together. its the only way to be fair to the clanners.
