Jewish happenings happening near BCEC during PAX East?

Anyone happen to know if there's anything cool, and ideally younger-skewing (20s/30s), going on near the convention center during PAX East? I'd like to go to a Friday night and/or Saturday morning Shabbat service nearby/within walking distance if there's a synagogue with a younger attendee base and I can get back to the convention quickly afterwards, but most of what I'm finding in Google searches is more traditional/family-oriented. I don't know how much overlap there'd be with PAX attendees and those who'd be at a synagogue on a Friday night, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. :)

The BCEC is in Southie, a traditionally Irish (and thus Catholic) neighborhood. If you're looking for a synagogue, your best bet is probably somewhere in Brookline on the green line. That said, it's definitely not walking distance in this cold.

Isn't there a Temple near the Mall area?

If you don't mind a bit of travel, there's always the Kenmore Square Chabad house or one of the Hillel's on any of the campuses.
