Metal Gear Solid is dumb. Sorry.

But let us not weep for Japan's many current sins of making dumb video games; let us instead remember the good times.

You know, something comes to mind. I know many artists/animators have done life drawing classes but it mainly seems to focus on nude modeling. Why does there never seem to be a good focus on clothed models. I mean, look at the whole thing with how women are drawn in comics. Clothes don't work like that!

We had a substitute who literally thought the entire class was trying to be purposely a bunch of dicks on the day when we all had our tdp shots. She sent like half the class to the principals office and he wound up calling her and reaming her out.

Oh my Facebook feed, a picture of a beautiful young woman. Looking at the camera, one hand on her hip, the other facing the camera to display an engagement ring. The accompanying caption/announcement text is: "y'all!"

Too late, I find the woman I want to make my wife.

Comparing Jim Lee's stuff now with his work on Uncanny X-Men, when he was really in his pomp, is kind of depressing. He's never going to be a bad artist without someone taking a hammer to his fingers, but he's either out of practice or kind of phoning it in these days.

    That's hilarious.

My teacher would send people to the principal's office for absolutely nothing. And this was an honors-level class!

I got sent once for breaking her "no food in class" rule. Which A) wasn't a school policy, just something she came up with and B) the "food" I had was an unopened bag of chips that fell out of my backpack when I was pulling out my textbook.

    She was hardcore religious, too.

People who started Dragon Ball at Z sometimes assume that the three-eyed dude is another alien.
No, he's just a three-eyed dude. The king of the U.N. is a talking dog. Earth is like that.

I think that's my issue with his work. It's deeply rooted in that late 80s/early 90s style of hyperaccentuation and cheesecake, and he just hasn't kept up with the trends.

This is true. You notice someone who can draw clothes well, like Adam Warren, and then compare them to an average superhero book that has folks wearing off-duty clothes and hoo-boy. Different body shapes as well. Some artists make basically every guy the same barrel chested superman and every woman the same bazongas on stilts.

I think this has gotten better from the low point of the nineties, but the clothes are still often just badly drawn. And getting them to wear something that looks fashionable as well as accurate or natural is even harder.
