Lets be honest here. He was a chump in dragonball as well. Nothing changed.
Tien was a major player in Dragon Ball. Seeing him jobbed out to hell as well as suffering the single most gruesome bodily damage from Nappa was real tragic.
Between DB and DBZ, Yamcha won exactly one fight. Total. And barely.
I'm okay with Tien. he's fine.
Yamcha is a chump. Always has been, and always will be. The most noteworthy thing Yamcha has ever done is somehow lose to VEGETA in the game of love.
and I love that even in Xenoverse, he is still just chump supreme.
Wolf Fang Fist is alright, but it really just boils down to a different martial arts style, rather than single cool move.
Heh, maybe if it was enhanced with ki to stab people like a wolf's fangs, or something.

Damn, I saw all the posts here when I got home and thought the DLC had released. At least it releases tomorrow on my day off. Gotta figure out if I want to play Hardline or Xenoverse now. Damn it.

I never fear death or dyin', I only fear never trying.
Man, wouldn't it be hilarious if they officially retconned GT as a tangent timeline through Xenoverse? The new movies have basically broken any chance of them fitting in now, anyway.
Unless Goku and Vegeta's new SSJG form eventually ends up looking like SSJ4 at the end of Ressurection: F...

He broke an arm. I mean he isn't Piccolo, but still, what's the problem with Tenshinhan losing an arm or three?

That would mean that Xenoverse is Canon, making that Dragonball MMO also canon since they decided to make Buu an entire race.

It actually might be.
Toriyama is the sole storyboard/writing credit, and no where in the quite lengthy credit sequence is there a "Based on the property of Akira Toriyama".
Like he was directly involved in Xenoverse's story as far as I can tell.
Which explains the Battle of the God's character's in the game with the story developed and integrated in such a complete fashion, when the Battle of the God's storyline is fairly...really new.(And the not so subtle Return of F hints...well, hint.)

I believe they stated Xenoverse is canon. As for Buu's race, I believe the story is that Buu created the first female from a magazine.
he named her Buub
Miss Buu, I think?
And they created the Majin race by tearing off lumps of their (regenerating) bodies, mixing them together, and shooting them with a Love Love Beam to bring them to life.
I love that. That's an origin story right out of Greek myth.

Where does Uubu fit into all this canon, anyway? I kinda expected him to be mentioned but as far as I can tell he's been banished to wherever Launch ended up.

So the reason the females have bodies like that... is because they literally were created from a fashion magazine or something? That's kind of amusing. A better explanation of female appearances in fiction than most for sure.

Which hint would that be?
Whis has "On entry" dialogue with Freiza that makes no real sense.
Whis: "Oh, hello Frieza, it's been awhile"
Frieza: "Don't talk to me like you know me!"
Whis and Beerus knew of Frieza, but they never actually interacted.
And in Return of F(spoilers)
King Cold tells Frieza there are two beings he should never fight if he encountered them. Majin Buu, and Beerus, the God of Destruction.
While that explains why Frieza would know them, it dosen't directly explain why Frieza would know WHIS.
And more importantly, Whis has a fleshed out moveset. With Toriyama's at the very least passing involment in Xenoverse, and with the last DLC pack almost totally being Return of F, there's a pretty solid bet that Whis fights in Xenoverse, and probably fights Frieza
Considering Whis is said to be stronger than Beerus, I'm not sure how he could fight Freeza without resolving the conflict almost immediately.
Return of F is breaking all logic center's. I mean, it makes sense, ish.
HEAVY Return of F spoilers(Not involving conclusion)
The hook that Frieza has never trained in his life, ever, like, not so much did anything actually taxing other than ride in his hoverchair and murder planets all his life until he met Goku is a GREAT idea.
The fact that his power up, is, "And then he decided to train", is "Kenpachi decided to use two hands and actual sword form" levels of power up brilliance.
However SSG Goku AND SSG Vegeta are both depicted in preview trailers.
I mean sure he trained for 4 months but going from being jobbed out to Future Trunks, to being able to take on TWO Super Saiyan God's and POSSIBLY Whis is a HOLY SHIT jump.
But yeah, I'm totally putting money on Goku and Vegeta failing and Whis putting him down/buying Goku and Vegeta time to kill time.
Either the movie or the game talks about how Beerus told Freiza to destroy the Saiyan planet so they have interacted before.
It wasn't that specific. Beerus was just pleased about not having to do it himself. But considering Beerus met the Vegeta-family in person, meeting Icebox isn't farfetched.
Where does Uubu fit into all this canon, anyway? I kinda expected him to be mentioned but as far as I can tell he's been banished to wherever Launch ended up.
That's a long timeskip after the Buu-saga. Years after Battle of Gods.

Yep, easiest way to tell is
At the end of DBZ timeskip, Pan was about 3 or 4 years old.
Videl had just gotten pregnant in Battle of the God's, and Pan is a newborn during Return of F.
Like, Battle of the God's picks up around a month/6 months after the Buu saga.

From the Wiki.
In Age 790, Buu reads one of Mr. Satan's adult books, Bob & Margaret, causing him to long for love. He obtains ideas about female mates and ultimately splits into two Buus once again (as he had done with Evil Buu in the past) In the same year, Majin Buu and Miss Buu begin to desire a child like Human couples have and read "Bob & Margaret" once again to work out how, they then use the Love-Love Beam to give birth to their Baby Buu. The family grows quickly, and is later recognized as its own race
It's still a bit silly that all male Majin's are fat blobs and the females are nicely designed cute jelly ladies. Would be cool if I could make a goofy looking evil buu or a awesome looking Super Buu.
Yeah. Sony does that all the time. Their store update is "When we feel like it"

I have to wonder if somewhere at some level of the company or an affiliated company someone has noticed this, and is just like freaking the fuck out that they never even tried releasing DBO.
I think I read somewhere that Xenoverse outsold the previous 14 Dragon Ball video games combined, in its first week. It's really been mind-bogglingly successful, and it's no wonder the online servers have been pretty much unusable (are they fixed yet?).

Just checked again. Finally got the DLC. Holy shit new clothes items and accessory item are expensive. Wont be hard to get but that is surprising. Also, two of the purchasable skills are strike and they sound cool. Looking forward to trying them out.

Think about it though... I mean, yeah sure, playing the characters through the stories/random fights was fun.
Playing YOUR OWN CHARACTER through the same stuff? Pure fucking gold. I mean, who didn't see the series and immediately wanted to fight side by side with those guys?
I beat super 17 and he disappeared into a wormhole. There is more story right? That can't be it. I'll be kind of annoyed if that is all there is.
This is part 1. The next DLC will be part 2.
That is so massively disappointing.
I dunno. This is Dragonball we're talking about where powering up can take an entire episode. I'd almost be disappointed if the DLC actually was a self contained story.
Please say the DLC ends with "NEXT TIME, ON DRAGONBALL Z" *guitar riff*. I'll be giggling like a derpy doo if it does.
They're sitting on a gold vain if they just integrate the upcoming dragonball movies and the rumored new television show with the game. Just release each DLC arc after each television Arc is finished.
Hell, they can fix things they missed because of their time travel theme, releasing DLC of the parts we missed, like battles with Dabura, Babidi and all the transformations we missed. It doesn't have to be in chronicle order.

Dragonball doesn't do that. Piercing is either straight up lightsabers, or just poking harder until it works. Freezer, Tao Pai Pai, Goku, et c.

No Christmas, no mouth present!
Considering how difficult it is to find in stores right now, it's not a stretch to assume that they've sold most of those 1.5 million copies.
It also doesn't account for PC, where it was top seller on Steam for quite a while.
