Considering Whis is said to be stronger than Beerus, I'm not sure how he could fight Freeza without resolving the conflict almost immediately.
Return of F is breaking all logic center's. I mean, it makes sense, ish.
HEAVY Return of F spoilers(Not involving conclusion)
The hook that Frieza has never trained in his life, ever, like, not so much did anything actually taxing other than ride in his hoverchair and murder planets all his life until he met Goku is a GREAT idea.
The fact that his power up, is, "And then he decided to train", is "Kenpachi decided to use two hands and actual sword form" levels of power up brilliance.
However SSG Goku AND SSG Vegeta are both depicted in preview trailers.
I mean sure he trained for 4 months but going from being jobbed out to Future Trunks, to being able to take on TWO Super Saiyan God's and POSSIBLY Whis is a HOLY SHIT jump.
But yeah, I'm totally putting money on Goku and Vegeta failing and Whis putting him down/buying Goku and Vegeta time to kill time.
Someone did a comparison between the Resurrection: F trailer and the pre-SSJ Namek fight, it's almost an exact duplicate of Vegeta getting his ass kicked and Goku showing up, only with the roles reversed. (If someone has that handy feel free to share, it might have been posted in here someplace?) Seriously it's a scene for scene recreation, with Frieza stomping on Vegeta's chest, Vegeta getting kicked into a hill, Goku looking down at him, etc.
So I kinda expect Goku to get his ass kicked by Golden Frieza until Vegeta gets mad enough to go in, whereupon Vegeta will attain some even higher power level (True SSG? SSG2? ... SSJ4?) and beat down Frieza.
This fits with Toriyama saying that he wanted the next movie to focus on Vegeta. It would also be an interesting bit of character development, if Vegeta goes in fighting not for his own pride, but because his rival/friend is in trouble or what have you.
Although, er, I missed SSG Vegeta. Which trailer is he supposed to be in?
They're sitting on a gold vain if they just integrate the upcoming dragonball movies and the rumored new television show with the game. Just release each DLC arc after each television Arc is finished.
Hell, they can fix things they missed because of their time travel theme, releasing DLC of the parts we missed, like battles with Dabura, Babidi and all the transformations we missed. It doesn't have to be in chronicle order.
Yeah, for a video game plot the time travel theme is perfect. We can go back and participate in all the super cool fights we love and wished were a thing we could be a part of and as new shows and mangas come out we can dive into those headlong and whup some ass alongside our favorite characters. They can expand this game basically forever until they get bored with it or it stops selling decently which I doubt will happen any time soon. Xenoverse is basically the professional version of the Earth's Special Forces HL1 mod I always wanted and I hope it has a long and healthy life.
Freeza/Cooler/King Cold's organization does name though not an very exciting/original name: "Planet Trade Organization". It does exactly what it says. Trade entire planets at a time.
The lack of a family name is more just a DBZ thing(none of the characters have family names IIRC).

Not true!
Son is the Gohan/Goku/Gohan/Goten family surname. I'm pretty sure Pan is Son Pan as well.
I thought they were called "Frost Demons" but upon a quick google I guess that was a fan name. Still, I prefer that over "Frieza Race" or "Planet Trade Organization".

Nah, it's a fair estimate that most people in DB don't bother with family-names, and to my knowledge Pan is never called "Son". "Pan" and "gohan" are both very basic foods, but "Pan" also follows Satan's theme.
Early on, many things didn't even establish categories, because the random freakazoids were just random freakazoids. Toriyama leaves things unnamed if he doesn't have a use for a name. And sometimes a pig is just a pig, even if he knows magic and speech.
There are also countless smaller clans of weirdos, even on Earth. And other groups that seem to consist of just two or three individuals.
In context, Freeza is nothing special. But he has the ego to wear being almost one of a kind.
Actually, in the original Dragon Ball series, doesn't Bulma make a comment about how weird it is that Goku has two names? It's kind of a thing that people just have the single name, and I don't think Bulma is ever officially called "Bulma Briefs" and that is just another fanon thing.
Nah, he means "Son". I don't remember much of the dialogue from those parts, though.
I always thought it was a poor translation from "San" but after looking it up this is what I found:
Goku's full name, Son Goku, is the Japanese name for Sun Wukong, the main protagonist in the Chinese legend Journey to the West, on whom Goku is loosely based.
Right, and he's basically the only character in the original Dragon Ball series to have two names, ie given name and family name. I'm 99% sure that Bulma comments on this when she first meets him. Well, well before Goku is retconned into being an alien we find out about Saiyans.
So what are some good Z-souls for a Ki-using Saiyan? I've been trying to get the soul Vegito drops from the 6-star Frieza's Nightmare mission for days, but no luck.

Well, I suppose any of the Ki-regen souls is a safe choice.
Man, wouldn't it be hilarious if they officially retconned GT as a tangent timeline through Xenoverse? The new movies have basically broken any chance of them fitting in now, anyway.
Unless Goku and Vegeta's new SSJG form eventually ends up looking like SSJ4 at the end of Ressurection: F...
I have mixed feelings about GT. While the series definitely didn't seem as strong as its predecessors (maybe better paced, it's been a long time), I do think there were a lot of cool ideas there. Stuff like there being a downside to the frequent usage of the dragonballs, the designs of the dark dragons, some other stuff. I really liked the design of SSJ4. I felt like it was a better power-up/transformation idea than just "same as before, but with different colored/more hair." If they wanted to crib the design as a newer/better SSJ-God, I feel like it would be appropriate for the ultimate form to be a blend of the two "natural" states of Saiyans (normal and Oozaru).
This is going to sound silly but are there factors other than what are mentioned in the hidden objectives? Like that one quest that has you have Krillian killed by Freeza. Is there any guide online that goes into detail as to how to get an Ultimate Finisher?
Here's a guide I found for the hidden challenges and unlocks.

I never fear death or dyin', I only fear never trying.
I always find it weird that enemies show up with powers that matches the progression of time. As if they're lined up from weak to powerful and await their turn.
What if Babidi and Buu showed up instead of Raditz? Would be hilarious if Raditz decided to show up waaaay later and finds out everyone on planet earth is stronger than him.

I was watching DB clips on youtube, and found one of Nappa having come back to Earth during GT times.(No idea why) Vegeta gives him one warning, and Nappa proceeds to attack him. He's wiped out in under 5 seconds by one of Vegetas weakest Ki blasts.
That's about what I'd expect if that were to happen.

It was the Super 17 arc.
To make a long story short, Gero and some other (living) mad scientist used 17 and a copy of him built in the afterlife to create a portal to Hell, and a bunch of old villains escaped during the event, including Nappa.

All of that is awesome and built up from the first new movie as
Beerus originally woke up at a time when he thought frieza would be a challenge for him. He was shocked to learn he died.
So the power up simply being frieza actually trying to become stronger vs not training is cool as it was alluded to prior...
Dammit xenoverse i was out. No animoos. no evangelions, no dbzs. No ship girls. Suddenly my toes are in the pool again.
GT dlc is pretty okay. they need to make the sequel bigger more PQs less RNG, or at the least some loot rebalance where you get something most times.....

"The family."

Well, besides Cooler and King Cold, there's Chilled.
As for family names, you can recognize your fellow family members by their food related name.
