Just started my save for Xenoverse 2. Played a Namekian last time, so went with female Saiyan this time. Here she is, the great Kurrat!:

    In cut scene:
    14715550_10211107990520693_6719615865229541668_o.jpg

And posing in front of my hero from the last game:
    14681995_10211107990480692_3184316147873925828_o.jpg

So your statue is based on what your hero was wearing when you imported him I assume?

Yup so if you don't like what they are wearing you should change the clothes before importing into xenoverse 2

Hmmm, my female saiyan is dressed up as Lunch so when she goes super saiyan her hair goes blonde :D I love it but I may change her outfit. of course having Lunch being the hero would be kinda fun :D

I was kind of hoping that your Xenoverse 1 character would be wearing some kind of unique uniform but apparently they just wear what you sent them over with and it feels weird for my 1 and 2 character to wear the same outfits..

Didn't you dress them the same?

When is this game released on Steam?

I keep checking, but I can never figure it out. I've read dates ranging from the 25th to the 28th.

    We wants to play!

Started watching Dragonball Super and now I'm back on the DB train.

Is this like an actual good game? Looking at the videos the fighting reminds me of the Tenkiachi series, which I wasn't a huge fan of (Budokai 3 is still my favorite DB game).

I have yet to play XV2 (waiting for Steam), but XV1 was (much to the surprise of many) a legitamately good game. Plus as a fan of DBZ the added nostalgia bonus made XV1 one of my favorite games of last year.

As someone who never cared for the DBZ games before I was very impressed.

Its slick, well done and you make your own fighter and customize what abilities etc they use, I love it and as someone who doesn't like playing other players you have tons of content to play.

I believe Crunchyroll has Dragonball super

They just got it but they are doing something weird with it. They start at episode 47 other something and will be adding the missing episodes I think each Thursday or Saturday in sets of 10 until it is caught up.

I was going to pick up my copy of Xenoverse yesterday but it turns out the figure size delayed the shipping. Gotta wait until after work to grab it now.

I believe the previous episodes are now available, but the general consensus is that you can skip everything up to 47 if you've watched the recent two movies, since it takes place right after.

It's particularly worth it just to see Future Trunks freaking out over everything that's happened after the Cell arc.

Got farther in the game, glad to finally be getting passed some of the recycled Parallel Quests (seriously, I think the first 8 or 9 are exactly the same as the first one) and decided to update my charater. Kurrat's going a little more casual this time:

I like how the master system works in this so far way more than in the first Xenoverse. I also think they took the Yamacha dying a lot to a new kind of funny for me. The first move he teaches is "Fake Death". Fall to the ground pretending to be dead and then leap up with a counter attack. So silly.

So I played X1 through completion, but never really touched it or any DLCs afterwards. That said, I loved it.

Any point in transferring your character over? Tempted to start from scratch again.

You don't actually transfer your character from XV1 to XV2 in the traditional 'continue playing as same hero' way.

Your Time Patroller from XV1 will be referred to as a Hero and have a big ol' statue in the new hub city. I guess they may also appear during certain missions (as friend or foe).

You do get some clothing items and skill though.

So, basically there is no reason not to transfer your XV1 save to XV2!

I lost the instructions for it, but a while back I found a way to trick my gaming PC into thinking my PS3 controller is an Xbox 360 controller. It's super convenient if you can get it to work.

IIRC DS4windows is what I use to use. Worked great. Hell, there were a number of games with mods that'd change the controller icons to dualshock icons.

Tried DS4windows and had some trouble with it, I ended up with the SCP Driver package and that works well.

-edit- Actually I tried DS3 Tool and couldn't get it to work, DS4windows sounds pretty good though.

I mean, I could probably just but a 360 controller on the cheap, if that is just plug and play.

  • chrisnlchrisnl Registered User regular
Yeah a 360 controller is almost certainly just plug and play, but I prefer the feel of the DS3 (haven't used a DS4, presumably it's similar) over the 360 controller. And hey, if you already have a DS3 it would take about 10 minutes to figure out if the software will work for you. The game might even support the DS3 directly, I haven't checked.

That's what I used, but I also remember having a tricky time of it too. But that article is dated 4 months ago, and I did it at least 2 years ago, so maybe it's simpler now. Once it's set up, it's completely plug and play and the PC just sees it as an Xbox controller. For added fun, I also got a bluetooth USB dongle, set that up, and now the thing is completely wireless.

GameFAQs looks like Tunguska. A hundred voices confidently disagreeing. At least ninetynine of you have to be wrong!

And the word "ki" remains poison to communication, as always. Two stats have it in the name, one of those two relates to the other in symmetry with a third stat that doesn't have it in the name, and neither of the two has any effect on the relevant basic form of attack.

So I have Xenoverse 2 on the PC now, though I was kind of late to the party on 1 and now I have to decide how much I want to finish before starting 2...

Concerning the carry-over from 1, this is just to get a bit of a step up at the start right? Anyone know if any of the skills or equipment are only attainable from this process?

You should be able to get everything in XV2. All the carry over is is a head start. Plus, you get to see your old character as the Hero. Which, I think you can totally pick any character you have from XV1. Not just one you've finished the game with.

I wish there was a list of CaC voice actors.

You don't get anywhere near a full grasp of the voice from the snippets in the character creation.

    So QQ Bangs are interesting.

Eventually you'll get the ability to make them at Capsule Corp.

Basically you combine two clothing items and one item, uh, item and it'll create a QQ Bang.

QQ Bangs have various stat increases like your clothing items, expect QQ Bangs override any bonuses you get from your clothing. So by creating a QQ Bang with the stats you want you'll be free to dress up however you wish!
