I'm level 47 and the Beerus and Whiz battle is still some bullshit, Trunks dies the moment he enters battle and then you get both of them stun locking you, Whiz keeps poking you from behind with his super defense while Beerus spams his balls of doom and pummels you. Guess I'll have to grind a bit more.
Yeah that fight was some shit. I was somewhere in the 50s when I took it on, I think, and it was still a pain. I had to just jet around with a ki autocharger and get lucky.
Yeah- range beerus.... then try and poke through whis when his armor is off. Not a fun fight. and theres a fun pq of it later
and its one of the games flaws but- the fights need to be more challenging and less "just give them more health and super armor". The second option just forces players to rely on ultimate spam to whittle away the bars.
But this game begs for a sequal with coop story and more everything. Bring in the movies. Bring in more weird time travel things.

As a side note, I'm somewhat surprised that Saiyan is the most-chosen race. I would've thought more would jump at the idea of making a not-Saiyan important.
The voice selection is pretty weird since I've only heard my character say a thing only twice. Would have loved to have my character to be more involved instead of silently standing behind rocks until his que.

I mean, you have that move, too. The isn't an AI exclusive ability. I don't think they play by the same rules for stamina, so you have a point that they use it way too often.
As for default ki blasts, if you're moving normally (not dodging, attacking, or dashing) you autodeflect normal ki blasts.

I'm a melee specialist and trying to land a bunch of combo's is rough when they're exploding at every contact you're trying to make, it's true that the skill is available for your character but it isn't of much use since you're mostly up against multiple enemies and have your stamina to maintain,
If you haven't finished the story though I strongly recommend watching
Battle of the God's first.

So, 98% of the story follows a very, very distinct formula. Look at magic scroll, go to some era, fite mans. It was servicable, but it wasn't like, great or anything. It was totally fine for what it was, which I expected the whole story to be.
However HOLY SHIT did it fuckin STEP UP in the Beerus saga good lord. It helps that Beerus is probably one of my favorite Dragonball character's ever after watching Battle of the God's(Since he's basically a whimsical Galactus), but Xenoverse actually does the Battle of the God's story, but better, since Battle of the God's builds up Beerus as this unstoppable force of nature, and Xenoverse STICKS TO IT.

Every single Vacation delete was followed up by A Super Kamehameha. Then I vacation deleted again. Then he super Kamehameha'd again. Then I vacation deleted again.
It was GLORIOUS.
It was hilarious.
And the villian reacting to Goku straight up breaking space-time with instant transmission was amazing.
Battle of the Gods was great because it wasn't overly serious and was just super goofy fun, even though Freeza's about to return and probably be a dick to everyone, I hope they keep some of the humor.
Okay, that ending was fantasic. And just when I was about to complain about a dropped plot thread that had been dangling for a while, it's the DLC and/or Sequel Hook.

Story starts out as your typically "take part in cool fights from the show" to "Oh shit son, it's your own saga!" by the end. Everything's turned up to 11 and by the last two fights the main badguy has gone from "MWHAHAHAHA" to "FML! Why?! Why?! WHY?!"
There will be DLC dropping this month. It looks to have a number of GT related things. Clothing, characters, skills, dozen or so new PQs, and one GT story-arc. edit- Officially: DLC Pack 1 (March 2015) will contain GT Goku, GT Trunks, and GT Pan. Also, 4 Time Patrol quests, 12 parallel quests, 15 special attacks, and 5 costumes.
Their original plan was to have 3 DLCs. However, given the crazy success of the game it wouldn't surprise me if they do more. Adding more PQs wouldn't take much effort. Adding more Sagas wouldn't be hard on a technical level, but would require voice actors. Still doable and profitable I'd wager though.
Heh, luckily Namco Bandai have some experience with games that are runaway successes. :biggrin:

I'll have you know, I named my saiyan Ardash Oak. It is a good vegetable pun, and not straight up vegetable.
One of my regular character names is already vegetable-inspired. That's made it pretty easy to just go with saiyan when I get it even if they are massively overrepresented.
Staking Majin's Defense bonus with a Z-Soul Defense bonus and lots of points into Health and going "What? That Ultimate was supposed to hurt?"
Candy Beam --> Wait a Couple Seconds --> Start a Long Charge + High Damage Ultimate that hits them as soon as they're not a jawbreaker.
Using the super-homing Ki Super that Stuns the enemy when playing with other humans and setting them up for free unblocked damage.
That the delay on Vanish Ball means you can use it to follow up knocking an enemy to the ground, where normally they'd be immune.
If I'm playing with other humans I can equip and play up the unkillable, heavy CC/lockdown, ranged support instead of going into combo --> ki finisher like I do when playing solo.

So I was reading through that stat thread linked earlier, and it's weird how the PS4 and PC versions appear to behave differently. Hopefully whatever discrepancy is showing up in the testing can be sorted out. Something else super weird is that at least one of the Z-Souls (they call it the Kamicolo one, so the 'I'm neither Kami nor Piccolo' one I think?) gives regen based on framerate, like at 39 fps it took 1 min 7 seconds to completely refill the health bar, at 150 fps it took 19 seconds. This is a thing they will surely have to change, isn't it? I mean it's not really an issue on the consoles, where everybody you are fighting should have the same framerate, but with people able to get absurdly high framerates on PCs it really breaks the game in a major way.

I mean sure they can start with adding in stuff from the movies (though most, if not all, of those are considered non-canon I suppose) but I just think that extra crazy stuff is where the real meat of the DLCs should be.
Also there seems to have been a patch today that affected that Kamiccolo Z-Soul, now it's like 1/5 as effective, but still seems to depend on frame rate. I mean I guess that's one way to "fix" the problem, and certainly a lot easier than changing how the Z-Soul itself works.
I wonder if Frieza's (1st Form) Z-Soul will be patched or if it is working as intended. Cause honestly? I don't think it is working as intended.

I don't know. That Z-Soul plus Android 18's(?) Ultimate (the giant fuck off green wave) lets me clear entire rooms in seconds. Like, literally all enemies at once KO'd (provided they have similar health).
Not to mention it gives you permanent Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2, plus unlimited Ultimates is friggin disgusting.
Granted, the time between triggering the Z-Soul and becoming an invincible killing machine is a very dangerous time, but I still don't think it should give you permanent max Ki.
